The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to end of Sept and the Gers for 2025/2026 winter are blocked out from Nov 15/25 to May 15/26.
Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. Now up until this year I have provided Free Firewood. I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now.
I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts.
Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice?
No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ.
What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”.
Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen.
I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven.

Our unique location is close to Bend city limits and right next to Horse Ridge Mountain Biking Trails. BLM land surrounds the area, and is even accessible from the upper part of our property. Come out and enjoy the high desert and explore the juniper forest.
We have tent camping sites and one tipi.
We are currently in the process of still building out our glamping pods. However in the mean time you can currently book a stay at those sites for tent camping.
The tent sites offer a comfortable setting for your tent in the sandy dirt.

There is hiking, biking, horse trails and ATV trails all nearby. Our open skies are great for daydreaming and stargazing. Come see how bright the milky way is out here Sage Ridge.

We recently relocated to Redmond and LOVE being here! It has allowed us the opportunity to enjoy everything Central Oregon has to offer and we hope you too can experience and enjoy it as much as we do. It's all about making memories. It's also perfect for Fall/Winter fun and avoiding the summer crowds. Simply stay on our 5 acre property with complete hook ups if you're looking to avoid the bustle of downtown and it's hotel prices!
Our property is about 5 acres and tent spots are first come first serve with about 1 acre being closer to our house with shady grassy areas. The other 4 acres are in the pasture and mostly unshaded.
Pitch a tent out in the pasture, near the canal that runs through the property. We are a perfect location to the fairgrounds for the Farewell Festival and all Bend festivals throughout the year. We are 4 miles to the festival sights in Redmond and 20 min to Bend. We offer shuttle rides to and from the festivities so just enjoy the ride, enjoy the show and come home for a relaxing evening under the stars.
If coming for The Farewell Festival we offer the purchase of a weekend shuttle pass to and from the fairgrounds for the weekend so you can enjoy your time and not spend it stuck trying to get out of the parking lot!!
If you are bringing an RV or trailer we have hookups for electric (first come basis).
We are close to Bachelor for skiing, Smith Rock for hiking, Sisters for shopping, too many lakes to name and 20mins to all Bend has to offer and so much more!

You will wake up in the morning to the sound of roosters crowing and our crew of friendly animal residents. It can be noisy at times but we find it delightful! The Space: Our hand made tiny house offers a double sized mattress (bedding included) in the upstairs area (access via an attached ladder). Room for an additional person across from double bed also in upstairs area or put provided mat on the floor. Please note: the space is small for 3 people and better serves 2.
The Kitchen: Tiny house kitchen area has a small refrigerator, small counter space for meal prep, a tea kettle for hot water, water jug for fresh water, french press coffee pot and coffee/tea, hot plate for cooking, popcorn maker and popcorn, pots and pans, silverware, napkins, bottle openers, etc. We now have a new small outdoor kitchen with a two burner propane stove and an outside fish washing station.
The Facilities: The tiny house offers a composting toilet for night time pee pee needs and offers a port-a-potty for all other uses please! If you want to know a secret river dipping spot or where to go to find a sauna I’m happy to share!
Outdoor Shower: We have a lovely little “instant hot” shower for use on non freezing days.
The Location: We are conveniently located between beautiful Bend, Oregon and Sisters, Oregon. We have hiking and biking trails within .3 of a mile! We also have books to recommend 100's of other hiking, biking, nordic skiing and alpine skiing nearby! And, since we are outdoor enthusiasts ourselves, we are happy to recommend places to ski, hike, mountain bike, float or paddle!

Boondocking site means there is no hook-ups or running water so you'll want to bring in your own water and heat if you're here in the colder months.
Your four legged furry family members are welcomed! They must be accompanied at all times and not left on the property alone. The dog run is for you to keep closer tabs on them while relaxing, not for leaving them while going into town or enjoying the area. The dirt is very soft and it wouldn't take very long for them to dig under to get out and go looking for you. The cabin or yurt is also not a pet storage area - with no power or AC, pets are not allowed to be left alone in the dwellings.

Bonita had the place all warmed up when I arrived and sent detailed easy check in instructions. I was there for cozy solitude and the bunkhouse delivered. I cooked all my meals and the kitchen had everything I needed. Would be excellent as a pit stop for folks exploring and also folks like me wanting a quiet spot to read, write, and enjoy sitting by a fire. Check out was a breeze. Will definitely be back.

The hosts were absolutely amazing—super kind, responsive, and accommodating! An actual room to lay your head if passing through for a night. Has those camp-y vibes going overall (e.g., bathroom outside, no kitchen, minimal light enclosure/window privacy) but you've got a super comfy bed, in a spacious room, removed from the elements (w/ heat unit in cold months). Rare find for that middle-ground—a nice spot to come back to after daily outings to surrounding areas!

Beautiful spot and so quiet! The stars were incredible, the tiny house and bathroom were clean and tastefully decorated, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with every convenience. The mattress was very comfortable! My favorite thing by far were the friendly kittens and other pets. We enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep under the pines and loved to hear the wild birds in the morning. The lava rock is beautiful. Hosts were kind and attentive. We are so grateful for their hospitality!

We stayed in the Bunkhouse. The listing definitely undersells how beautiful this place is. Super spacious, well appointed kitchen, super comfy everything, awesome hot tub, and animal friends! When we weren't relaxing or staring at the stars while having a soak, we got to know the cute critters that call this place home. Bonnie is a fantastic host and I love that the proceeds from our stay went to the sanctuary. We will definitely be staying again.

Sandy and Tim’s tipi was so fun and it’s beautifully made! Inside, it’s spacious enough to setup camp and still stand and easily move around. The fire pit was worth it on a cold night as it easily kept us cozy and warm all night. The community space is thoughtfully setup with many resources. The tuxedo cat (unsure their name but we called them “Noodle”) joined us at the community space, then followed us back to the tipi. We were happy to have their companionship, but heads up in case that’s not your preference because it did sneak its way through the main zipper of the tent. 10/10 would recommend.

Such a beautiful spot! The shed was surprisingly cute, cozy, and romantic! The yard was huge and seeing the ducks was such a pleasure. We love being to bring our pups as well.
The shed was super comfortable all around and we found the bed to be comfortable too.

Rich’s property is absolutely beautiful. We arrived and found everything pretty easy to find. As soon as we pulled up Rich drove down to greet us, showed us around the site, and had a chat before it started raining — which was no problem as he’s done a really great job covering the tent, sitting area, and kitchen at the big maple site.
It’s clear that the host has thought through just about every camping amenity that you might need. I was constantly finding little things around the site and kept shouting things like “he even has marshmallow toasting sticks!! Firewood is covered and organized by size just feet away from the site. That’s the kind of convenience you’ll have here.
The rain cleared up and the stars came out and we managed to start a fire and have an incredibly cozy night with our pup. There were no other campers while we were there - so it really felt like we had complete privacy and the place to ourselves. a short walk away is a second campsite next to a huge open meadow which is where we went on our morning walk and it was absolutely stunning and serene. Saw a bunch of wildlife (the whole property is a sanctuary for it) and reluctantly packed up and continued our road trip. The whole area is ridiculously beautiful so if you’re coming from far away just know the drive alone makes it worthwhile.
10/10 would camp again!

2 nights at Shelter at Castle Rock Farm
I recently stayed at this campsite with my dog, and we both had a great experience. After a full day of exploring the area, she was completely worn out and slept soundly in the tent, lulled to sleep by the sound of rain on the roof. Luckily, we stayed perfectly dry thanks to the well-built structure covering our setup—it made all the difference.
The site was fully equipped with everything we needed, including cooking tools, which made meals super convenient. The property itself was stunning—peaceful, natural, and full of wildlife. I spotted around 10 deer during our stay and more wild turkeys than I could count. It was such a refreshing escape.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unplug, enjoy nature, and still have a few comforts of home! Dog Approved!

This campground is great! Sites are well maintained as well as restrooms and surrounding areas. Lake entrances throughout campground, just be polite with waterfront sites, as that is the perk of their area :) My family and I had site 12 with a great view of the lake and a big area for our setup.
The trail that goes around the lake is great as it gives you something to do while camping instead of just the water and campground. Great activity!!

Great campground for people with horses. Corrals are nice. Sites are primitive. Approximately 1/3rd of a mile off of paved road, rest is gravel and red rock road.
Please don’t camp here with side by sides or anything motorized other than your pull vehicle. Spooking horses is not cool.

Just a quick FYI To “HipCampers” or people New to horse camping… The state does not have funding to “Maintain” ALL TRAILS or Campgrounds to your standards. There are multiple Volunteer groups throughout the state that take time out of their lives to do trail clearing & maintenance for the horse camps to keep them open to the best of their ability spending personal funds & getting donations to do so… Instead of Complaining about not having full access… why not try and step up to the plate and help out. Even on a small scale while you are there. You should not expect everything to be FREE and Perfect every time you go riding. Join groups and enjoy the people and working from horseback.

Tent camped here during the week of June 21, 2021, and the mosquitoes were awful. (We thought June would be early enough, but were unlucky.) The mosquitoes were bad all day, not just at dawn and dusk.

June 30, 2019. We just returned early from horse camping at Quinn Meadow Horse Camp because all the trails were blocked by fallen trees. Apparently the State of Oregon feels no accountability to visitors to either repair the trails or warn visitors that all the trails are useless for riding due to downed trees. Very frustrating!!! ☹️

I camped here for a couple days during mid July, Its free, right next to the PCT trail which is why we camped here to take my 3 grandkids on a 3 day backpack along the trail. It was fairly quiet with all sites full and we had a bit of privacy. A few skeeters out at evening, but not bad, the lake is very inviting!

The high desert means extreme differences in temperature from day to night. We camped here in July and it was sunny and warm during the day, but the dog's water froze over during the night! Bring layers!

This place is close to one of the most beautiful caves I've ever seen - Skylight Caves. They are hard to get to but so worth it! Go between 8 am 10 am to see the light illuminate the cave.

Bring a light raft so you can enjoy fishing from a boat on this beautiful Cascade Lake! Feel free to reach out for any fishing tips! There are parking, and pass fees required in this area!

This is a great spot for tent camping! There's not much privacy in between the spaces, but the view you get with the waterfront spots is worth it! Beware, the drive down there isn't the most fun. Much of the roads are washboard roads, so our travel trailer didn't enjoy it too much. Also a good spot if you like water sports. Great for kayaking, boating, canoe, paddle board. And just swimming! If I go back I won't risk the trailer again.

While this cg is serene, clean and easy to access, I was deeply disappointed that my tent and tarp were stolen. I had hoped the rangers had merely broken down my camp thinking it was abandoned while I was away for a couple hours, but after contacting them they said it was instead stolen, also noting they have had more thefts lately. It was an expensive family tent and shameful to steal shelter. How can we enjoy camping now if we have to lock up the entire camp every time we go on a hike???

We loooooved this campground. It's not too big and the sites are spacious and private. Plenty of shade. There's a trail that leaves from the campground, or there are several just a short drive away. Hood River is about a 15 minute drive away, as is a state park where you can get a shower for $2/person (and load up on water). When we were there, there was no water at the campground due to contamination, although the flush toilets still worked. Easy to gather firewood and berries.

We stayed here in the off-season which was lovely as it was fairly quiet and relaxed. The campground is great for families; the kids fished and we enjoyed the small hiking trail that runs around the lake. The campground was mostly quiet; however, be prepared for a moderate amount of road noise (including semi truck air brakes) from the highway on the far side of the lake.
We lucked out and scored coveted site #9, which is perfect for two families (as it's a double site). It's on the end so has more privacy than the others but is also right on the water with boat tie-ups. Sites #10-14 are also waterside but are more open and exposed. There will be some foot traffic from the nearby lakeside walking trail but for us it wasn't obtrusive.

Such a great site. Half the campground sites are on the highway side and the other half is facing Odell Lake - we're talking view of the lake, steps from the lake, right by the lake! If you have a kayak or little boat even better. It wasn't busy either when we went in end of August. Sites are big enough you feel separate from your neighbors. No running water, bathroom is what you'd expect but nothing beats the sites right on the water.

Wonderful spot -- where almost every camp site is lakeside! Each site is equipped with a fire ring, picnic table and parking. During the summer this is a popular spot, with lots of families. I went in the Fall (October) and it was practically empty as the services had terminated. Still just so lovely -- temp drops at night and the water was too cold for swimming (but in warmer temps, this is a lovely lake swim). Wonderful spot.

This site is right on Paulina Creek which is perfect for a quick dunk! A 7 mile hiking trail to the falls and Paulina Lake leaves right from camp.

This campground is situated right next to the lake but shaded beneath the trees. Not a ton of privacy between sites but also not very busy! It is a .5 mile walk to the falls and the Paulina Lake loop makes for a great running trail. Sunriver is only 35 minutes away if you need any quick amenities, or drop in on Bend (fantastic town) which is about 1 hour north.

There is a path to the marsh kayak ramp between campsites 14 and 15, so people walk through the area regularly. All sites seem to have reasonable shade coverage.

Beautiful! No problems navigating the dirt road in 23ft RV -spots still available at 6pm. Widely spaced out sites, plenty of tree coverage, VERY dusty. Left $10 payment in the envelope slot, next day the camp worker told us the payment wasn't there. Stolen?!!

This is the trailhead for South Sister so if your camping beware that hikers come in at all hours of the night so don't be alarmed if you see people looking for campsites late at night or people who are sleeping in their car.

Great Lake for paddle boarding, the lake itself is super shallow and only gets to nine feet deep.
