Paulina Acre is located in the Newberry Estates development, NE of La Pine and about 30 minutes south of Bend. Our development is surrounded by BLM, national forest, and a wildlife preserve. It's about 10 minutes from town and 20 minutes to the Newberry Caldera natural area (Paulina and East Lakes). Gordy's truck stop is located just a couple of miles down the road for ice and other necessities. I love small and unique spaces! I live in a 375 sq/ft post WWII shotgun style cottage. You will also see my 200 sq/ft tiny house on wheels on the property that I built and lived in for 7 years (currently unoccupied). Please excuse my mess as I have a lot of big dreams for my property and many ongoing projects. You may meet my contractor, Lance, who also hosts hipcampers at his property in La Pine. I am excited about the completion of this campsite and to begin hosting!Camp Kodiak is situated in the back corner of my 1 acre property, bordered by BLM. There is a 12x12 Kodiak Canvas wall tent set up on a platform, equipped with a full size bed, 2 pillows and a clean fitted sheet. There is space for another tent. This site offers ample space and privacy with a picnic table and wood fire pit *see note in regards to campfires. There is access to an outhouse, potable water hydrant, and outdoor shower/changing area (now with hot water! ). The outhouse has 1 interior 20 amp plug and 2 exterior. Site is equipped with extention cords if you'd like to run power to the tent/main camp. Please keep in mind that it gets cold at night in the high desert, and can dip at or below freezing, even in the summer months. The low is often up to 10 degrees cooler than what is forecasted. Make sure to bring a sleeping bag rated at least to 32 degrees and/or a propane heater. There are security cameras on the property that automatically turn on and off overnight. There is a camera attached to the back of the outhouse pointed towards the back gate /BLM. Add ons: Clean (used) towels available for purchase for $8/each. Cold weather sleeping bag rental: $10/each (2 available) I'd like to keep this site free of a cleaning charge, and these things add a considerable amount of laundry. Forget anything else? I have a ton of camping equipment, just ask :) *Note about campfires: This property is located in a high fire risk area. Fire season generally runs from June-end of September. I always follow local regulations in regards to campfires, including having a permit on site. Please follow the procedure and familiarize yourself with the fire permit found in the welcome binder. I will turn the fire ban on with little to no notice during "red flag" weather conditions or if fire conditions change to "extreme" and I'm sorry in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. There will be firewood and starters stocked for you :)
