We are located in southern Oregon near Crater Lake NP, just off of hwy 62, part of the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway, more commonly known as the "highway of waterfalls" and near the little town of Prospect on what is known as the beautiful side of Crater Lake NP. Three waterfalls, the Prospect Cafe, and the Historic Hotel are all within a two-mile radius. If you're after that famous pie at Beckie's Cafe, you are 10 minutes close.
Our 100 acre ranch allows us to host guests in their own RV's, at camp/tent sites, or in our new A-frame Cabin all located in private, and even secluded, sites. Several well maintained trails wind throughout the property and can be enjoyed by guests. Nature enthusiasts enjoy the hiking, wildlife viewing, and the beautiful ponds and woods.
Crater Lake Woodlands is part of the historic Katydid Ranch. Once owned by Boise Cascade who used it both for growing seedlings to replant logged mountain sides and as a vacation getaway for their executives, the story of Katydid Ranch goes back to the early 1900's when it's owner named "Katy" used it as the "half-way" overnight lodging for horse & buggy guests traveling to Crater Lake from the Rogue Valley. Leaving the valley at the crack of dawn, they could arrive at "Katy's" by nightfall, in time for a meal and sound mountain sleep. They'd hitch up at dawn and make it to Crater Lake by nightfall.
Historically, the first residents were the Rogue River Takelma and Latgawa native Americans. Latgawa lived in the Rogue Valley of interior southwest Oregon. In their own language "Latgawa" means "those living in the “uplands," though they were also known as the Walumskni by the neighboring Klamath tribes. Specifically, Ha-ne-sakh. The Latgawa were one of two peoples who spoke the Takelma language. They were hunters, gatherers, weavers and fished the Rogue River. They were known to have a stationary settlement and trading post at the Katydid Ranch location. Their tribes lived in the upper Rogue River area extending beyond Prospect and Union up to Crater Lake.
Since we've owned the Ranch, we've maintained the custom of welcoming overnight guests and at the same time, we continue to honor the protected wildlife designation given to it back in the 50's. Wildlife viewing is one the delights we share with our guests. Please be mindful of native wildlife keeping dogs on leash so as to avoid chasing and barking at wildlife. Thank you.
The animals here include, but are not limited to black tail deer, elk, fox, coyote, ringtailed cat, raccoon, skunk, and also typically farther up the mountain are the elusive mountain lions and black bear which we have never spotted on our property. The ponds and surrounding area are home to migratory to the Oregon Pond turtle, Canada geese, quail, wild turkeys, various owls including the great horned owls, hawks, cranes and eagles. Our pond bird watcher friends spotted Common Mergansers, Ring Necked Ducks, Canada Geese…and a Loon. The bull frogs orchestrate the evening and can be heard at times throughout the day. Katydid Ranch is a wildlife sanctuary.
The flora and fauna of the forest is abundant and diverse. This land is home to many native grasses, ferns, and berries, wild flowers, as well as many other edible and medicinal plants and numerous varieties of mushrooms. If you are visiting during blackberry season, feel free to pick, pick, pick and indulge.
Katydid trees include old growth Douglas Fir, Ponderosa, Sugar, and Jeffrey Pine, various Cedar tree varieties, Incense Cedar, the majestic Pacific Madrone, Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Black and White Oak, Dog wood, and Vine Maple. Bring your own sleeping bags. Outhouse provided. Additional tents and people are allowed. Area for tents and RV’s is large grassy wooded area. Great for large gatherings of friends or family who enjoy camping.
Large cook shack with gravity fed water. Propane camp stove, lots of kitchen equipment. Black stone grill and drinking water. At the pavilion there is an outdoor fire pit and propane fire ring under the shelter. Lots of chairs for sitting in the sun or shade and a couple hammocks too. Mountain bike/hiking trails run throughout property as well as National forest trails within a few miles.
North Fork River swimming 10 minutes away. Golf course across Westoak Rd. Sit on the porch and enjoy the solitude only minutes from Oakridge. Grocery store, etc... all available in Oakridge. Beautiful, safe and secluded. Elk, deer, and other forest critters live here too.
Well behaved dogs are welcome.

We are located in Southern Oregon. We are off exit 88 on Interstate 5 in Azalea, Oregon. This is a great location if you are traveling or road tripping to any destination along the West Coast of North America! Take a day trip to Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. We also recommend that you visit the Galesville reservoir about 5 minutes up the road.
The yurt has a queen sized loft bed with cotton sheets, a warm cotton comforter with duvet cover, a woodstove, and a folding mattress. You are also welcome to bring your own sleeping gear.
*LEAVE NO TRACE, just as you would when camping = please pack out your own trash*
There is a wood stove for the winter months, a solar powered refrigerator, a propane stove and oven, along with a sink, and kitchen countertop space. Basic kitchen ware like: utensils, plates, bowls, Italian stove top coffee maker, off grid blender, cooking pots, pans, etc.
We provide plant based dish soap, hand soaps, and shampoo. There is a composting toilet and outdoor shower with a propane water heater for warm showers.
Please bring your own bath towel.

There is a picnic table in the pasture, with several wooden log type chairs.
There is internet available on the picnic table by the main house front deck. Connect to the internet via ethernet. We have a usb-c converter, an Apple converter, and a usb drive to access the internet through ethernet. This is a glamping experience, partially off-grid, and we hope that you take the time to unplug.
All of our farm goods are available for sale. Be sure to ask about orchard raised fresh eggs, neighbor's milk, seasonal fruit jam, fresh fruit and berries, vegetables, and sprouted nut butter.
We are located near the Galesville Reservoir and about 1.5 hours from Crater Lake. The site is easily accessible. You will have a view of the pasture, gardens, greenhouse, orchards and the host's private residence.

Bring your kids, bring your dogs; enjoy the beautiful setting. We have a few kayaks, or there are rental kayaks available nearby.
NOTE: Please be aware that the mosquitos can be very bad here at times.
Power has recently been going out more frequently due to the Pacific Power's "advanced safety settings". When the power is out the well pump is out, so there is no water. I am happy to provide buckets of river water for "flushing toilets" and pay for showers at the Klamoya Travel Center. I will not be giving refunds for a situation over which I have no control.

We are located 15 miles from King Estate and other local wineries, 15 miles from the Covered Bridge Scenic Bikeway, 45 miles from Eugene, and 2 hours from the coast, the mountains, and Portland. While the location is quiet and secluded, we are still an easy 5 minutes to I-5.
Yurt door is usually left unlocked, and we have not had any security issues. Upon request, we can provide guests with a key during their stay.
Unfortunately these accommodations are not ADA-accessible at this time.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE People from all backgrounds are welcome, but hate has no home here. Please respect our neighbors - we tend to wave to each other while in the neighborhood.
Other residents at this property include: 4 dogs (Duffy and Hamish, Leia and Suleyman), a flock of Romney sheep, 12 hens, 1 donkey (Gracie), 2 potbelly pigs (Hamlet and Pig), 3 cats (Apollo, Minerva, Zelda, and Opal), and multiple geese. Farm access is available upon instruction (proper gate security is a must!)

Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters.
Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village.

Welcome to ten acres of open pasture and mixed forest tucked into the hills just outside Glide, Oregon. The land feels spacious yet protected — bordered by trees and crossed by a spring-fed creek that runs year-round through the property.
The creek is shallow in most places, clear and cool, with smooth stones along the bottom. In one bend it widens into a natural swimming hole that stays refreshing through the heat of summer. You can hear the water moving from much of the property steady and calming. Evenings bring shifting light across the pasture, frogs near the water, and a wide, dark sky once the sun drops behind the trees.
On the main side of the property there is a designated RV site with easy access and open sky above. It sits comfortably within the landscape with easy access to the shower on the side of the shop and a place to watch and hear the creek.
There is an outdoor shared living room where guests can relax in the shade and hear the creek in the background.
The 199 sq. ft. yurt sits in the garden area. It has its own small yard space, a short porch, a queen bed, and a simple table and chair. It is uncluttered and comfortable — a quiet place to sleep while still feeling close to the outdoors. there is a small 78 SF bunk house a few feet from the yurt for children or adults to have a separate bedroom. pending a few finshing touches- The kids bunk house is set to open for rental June 1st. $55 per night.
Friendly horses, goats and chickens live on the property and are accustomed to visitors. They often come near the fence line, curious and calm. You may hear them moving in the pasture or calling softly to one another in the early morning.
Equine sessions are available as are guided foraging hikes.
The N. Unpqua river is 20 min away. Ask about fishing , rock hunting and swimming holes, I'll guide you to the best. There are 4 waterfall Hikes within 30 min drive. Wild Life Sarfarri Animal Park is 45 min away. Down the hill (15 min) in the town of Glide are the best burgers and pizzia in Douglas County- and a health conscious cute bistro as well. vegan and GF choices.

Our place is quiet and on a dead-end road. Our farm is just less than 5 acres where we have a 1/2 acre of blueberries, free range chickens, and do firewood. We are just minutes off of I-5. A short drive to rivers, lakes, and hiking trails. 5 wineries within minutes. The small town of Cottage Grove won the Best All American City twice. Creswell is one of the fastest growing towns in Oregon. We are 4 miles just outside of both towns. Eugene and UofO is an easy 25-minute drive.
The accommodations is a remodeled park model RV the Executive Dream, with a large covered porch. Sunsets here are awesome. The RV has many amenities. It has a new futon (very comfortable), and a new bed (very comfortable). There is lots of parking and easy to get turned around. For the kids we have a foosball table and plenty of room for them to run around. The property is fenced and gated. Jane and Tom are incredible hosts. They have really made the space so special. The property is beautiful, live with the forest, meadows, and creek right outside your front door. 10 out of 10 stay. Will absolutely be returning many times. ♥️

Jane's Orchard Cottage was the perfect space for two old friends to "meet in the middle" with a dog. Plenty of space to relax inside, lots of comfortable sleeping spaces and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking our meals. The expansive grounds are beautiful and we felt welcomed to explore and walk my dog (on leash) to a pond, platform over a stream, through the forest and into the orchards. We saw a wild turkey, a great blue heron and we even found forest orchids!

Great stay! We rented one of the small cabins with bunk beds. It was very tight in there with 2 adults but it had everything we needed and then some. Hot showers with great water pressure, comfy mattresses. The only thing that wasn't great was getting in and out of that top bunk.

Such an exceptional Hipcamp. It's clear the host paid attention to details. The cabin was warm and comfortable. For Dogs, this is what dog dreams are made of. My GSD had a blast and was tired at the end of our visit. I have already recommended this place to my dog friends.

I had a nice and relaxing time staying here. I really enjoyed being immersed in the forest while still having a lot of amenities available. Having WiFi was a big plus and helped me feel a bit more safe as a solo traveler. My dog and I loved roaming around the property and checking out the trails/future campsites. You can tell a lot of love and hard work has been put into this land. I appreciate the thought put into everything (hygiene supplies in the restroom, leaving out dog treats/a bowl, snacks, the tea/nespresso pods, even creamer and water in the fridge). I am very pleased with my stay and will definitely be back/recommend this site to friends/family. Thank you for everything! 😁

Ruby's cabin is nestled amongst beautiful cedars and pines with a view of a large green meadow out front. The cabin is cozy with 2 comfy twin beds, a nice table and chairs for games and eating and our absolute favorite was the wood stove. It has plenty of windows and a great loft for extra sleeping space. The outdoor kitchen is conveniently located and very well stocked. We went on several long walks exploring some of the 200 acres the cabin is on. We saw deer during our walks which was extra special. Ruby's cabin is a little slice of heaven!

My Wife and I loved our stay!
The Cabin is very Cozy and extremely well stocked with a lot of the traveling things you might forget.
There was even a little drawer for fire kindling, what a great idea!
Renee was very accommodating and we had a fantastic time on our 3rd wedding anniversary.

Lovely property and the directions were excellent and special touches everywhere like towels for the sauna yesss a gorgeous sauna available and connecting outdoor showers, also gorgeous and actually a total spa experience even better as it’s in natures beautiful surroundings.
Notes everywhere to acclimate you and coffee & pot in my yurt. Also delicious well water available and cozy warm propane heater as I stayed in March quite chilly yet cozy in the Yurt for me and my 2 dogs, another plus dogs welcome!
The Yurt had everything we needed dishes for the outdoor kitchen utensils cozy couch books big comfy bed outback/pit toilet just an absolutely homey Yurt!
Arthur the host was so attentive and helpful and always available if needed, thank you Arthur for being an awesome host and for a wonderful stay of my first HipCamp adventure.

Weekend Trip to Winberry Walden
Perfect Place to Suck Out All the Marrow of Life!
Excellent directions and communication (limited cell service but awesome WiFi on site). The property is gorgeous with trails and waterfalls (and future campsites) to explore, and the surrounding area has plenty of hiking, swimming and recreating opportunities. The studio was a blend of modern tech and remote natural retreat and was outfitted with everything we needed to cook our own simple meals. Even though the main house is directly attached, James and Linda were so quiet we wouldn’t even have known they were there if we hadn’t seen the car parked outside the house. We’d definitely love to go back and explore more of the area.

Weekend Trip to Secluded Forest Haven
I loved staying on Lara’s property. The tiny house was beautiful, perfectly clean and organized. I appreciated all the labels throughout and the instructions for the composting toilet. The booklets of what to do in the area were helpful when looking for trails to explore. She really has thought of everything someone could need.
I was/am going through the loss of my senior dog and was looking for a place to get away and process my emotions and this truly was the perfect place. I spent a long time sitting outside on the deck reading and just listening to nature. It was the escape from reality that I needed.
I hope to go back in the future and can’t wait to experience the peace that their land helped me find in a time I so desperately needed it.
Thank you Lara for your kindness and letting me enjoy your land for a few days.

Weekend Trip to Ruby’s Cabin
We loved Jay's well thought out cabin. Everything was stocked well, clean and cute. Next time we are only bringing food and clothes, and our dogs.
Our dogs played ball in the front yard off leash and had a blast. We played board games and got the peace and quiet we much needed. Many trails on the property to walk. Many forest service roads and places to explore. There is a binder in the cabin with really good local information including swimming holes. We definitely want to return.

We stayed just up the road from here at the group site called Steamboat Ball Field. It’s a very rustic site with an open field and a picnic shelter. Surrounded by a lush and vibrant green old-growth forest, this is a great place for a family reunion or large gathering. Be warned though, it fills up quick! You must reserve many months in advance, but it’s worth it. About 20 miles East is Umpqua Hot Springs, the perfect day trip from this spot. It has 8 hot pools cascading over a cliff into the Umpqua River, much like an infinity pool. This place is busy too, so avoid peak times, but do make the journey as it is a truly magical place.

Very quiet location and very close to Crater Lake National Park. You will be right on a recreational lake, did a walk-in around noon and plenty of open spots in late July.

Camped here on a road trip from California. Visited Crater lake and headed to this campsite on my way to Portland the next day. Wow was I blown away by the beauty, the sunrise was unreal. I woke up to a gigantic mountain with fresh snow on top. The campsite was easy to find with great bathrooms and showers.

Heavily wooded, spaced out campsites make this place special. You get privacy, and if you aren't lucky enough to get a campsite on the lake it's a short walk from all the campsites. Make sure to get there before check-in closes around 8 though, and it is a drive to get to the showers. Very close to crater lake, but if you enter at popular times there is a car backup at the entryway. Would recommend!

Insane amounts of mosquitos. Jumping in the (kindof gross) lake was the only escape!
We got lucky and got the last spot here on a Saturday on a summer afternoon. Nice sites. Tons of RVs...expect the hum of generators to cut through the serenity of nature starting around 7:30am.
Very good hiking nearby. Definitely not a bad spot to pitch a tent for a night or two.

We were on a driving mission down the PCH and finding camp spots along the way. Nestled amongst the trees Horseshoe Bend was a special kind of campground; quiet, foresty, with only the sound of the river running through. There's nothing fancy about this campground, but it does have decent fire pits and picnic tables to put on a good camp dinner.

The mosquitos will literally eat you alive during the summer here. The marshes and creeks that surround the lake make perfect grounds for the vermin. Make sure to bring plenty of repellant.
