Welcome to the 2026 Hipcamp Season. I am glad you found our space. We are working hard to prepare for a fun season and can't wait to meet you! New camp amenities and new products coming for 2026 :) Since 2015 I have been regenerating the soil and improving this once barren property. There is now diverse plant life on-site which attracts diverse wildlife including insects, birds and reptile. Your stay here helps us to pay the bills to keep making this small patch of earth better. The property is on a sunny bench not far from the ocean and usually above the fog line. Our location gets ample sunshine most days and is surrounded on 3 sides by a small forest. The property is fenced and access is by gate. There are two seperate campsites which are separated by our central garden and bamboo plantings. There is very little street traffic before 9 AM and after 4 PM Tues-Sat. We have new neighbors - Lincoln Animal Shelter. Dogs can be barky at times. We have installed an outdoor water feature to add soothing sounds. Both sites can use the portable toilet, shower and sink. We keep them clean, odor free and sanitized. Bring your outdoor gear! Adventures aplenty here on the central coast. Your hosts are avid surfers, cyclists, hikers and can help direct you to the best spots to match your skill level. The property is close to town as well as bike loops, gravel roads and trails. We're also close to the beach. Within a short drive surfers of all levels can find something fun to ride nearly everyday. The 18 hole golf course is just down the street and the town of Waldport is 2 miles away. Yachats is a short 12 min drive to the south where you can find amazing restaurants like The Green Salmon Cafe where they serve fresh roasted coffee along with a large menu of drinks and treats. White sand beaches are located just down the hill from us where you can walk all the way from the mouth of the Alsea river to the mouth of the Yachats river. Forested and easily accessible walking trails are also nearby. South of the property is Cape Perpetua - a natural wonderland with whales, tide pools, blowholes and a 26 mile trail system. Enjoy the scenic 15 mile drive from the farm to get there. Shop our "Extras" and "Experiences" and please ask if any questions.

Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options. Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park. The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. Other features include a fire pit, wood fired sauna, and creek access for cold dips. Internet is available in the cabin. There is a Level 1 vehicle charger available for guests. The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards. The barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. Please refrain from harvesting produce and/or eggs unless accompanied or given permission from hosts directly.

Octopus Garden is a seaside cottage settled up on sand dunes along the central Oregon coast. This is a classic, retro 50’s cottage with spectacular front row seat views of the Pacific Ocean, shoreline and beach. Since it’s two doors down from the beach access, beach exploring is endless here with golden brown fine sand, no insects and no litter. Since this is probably the most remote beach on the western seaboard, there are no highrise hotels or condos, with cabins separated and offering a unique feeling of being almost alone among the vast span of ocean and shoreline. Much wildlife lives here with abundant birds and sea creatures. I have personally seen seals and people tell me they have seen whales swimming by while staying at the cottage. I have seen eagles soaring and land on the beach. There is also horseback riding (and they walk on the beach), as well as abundant hiking trails especially around cape perpetua and numerous trails that can be spotted whilst driving along the dramatically scenic highway 101 from Florence to Yachats. The beautiful Heceta Head Lighthouse and Keeper’s Quarters are perched on a cliff near the cottage and are stunning in their location, architecture and functionality. There are volunteers there to provide details about the lighthouse and give short tours. The Sea Lion Caves are ingenious in bringing people close to animals while remaining safe for both. You can visualize them enjoying life through glass and learn about them. There is a terrific gift shop at the Sea Lion Caves offering something for everyone. Yachats has a fun kind of vibe and energy there and has some very cute shops, and great places to eat. I enjoy the little shop called “Just Local” which sells hand made crafts and things for the kitchen with local style and flair. I love the Luna Sea Fish House restaurant where you can enjoy absolutely fresh fish made daily in a fun atmosphere. I recently was eating lunch there while being entertained by a gentleman playing a cello and other string instruments. There are numerous shops and restaurants in Florence, Oregon, primarily located in the old town area by the Siuslaw River. My favorite restaurant in Florence is called the Waterfront Depot. The food and drink are fantastic and the service excellent.

Four permanent residences also enjoy the beauty of Nelson Mountain Gardens. Each are separate and away from the campsites. You are welcome to bring your well-behaved dog(s). Limit 2. Horses are welcome with prior approval. Please let us know when booking. There is no cell phone service in our rural area. Limited wi-fi is available in parts of the rhododendron garden and at the barn for making necessary calls (no downloading, streaming or extended video calls). A phone charging station is located in the sauna house. Parking onsite is free. Smoking or vaping anything is prohibited inside of any structure on the property. Weekend Trip to Alsea Valley Farm

The hosts were very accommodating and the surrounding area was very peaceful. We were looking for a place to be tucked into nature and Alsea Valley Farm provided exactly what we were looking for. Our two pups also loved the miles of trails that start right outside the cabin! Big thanks to our hosts for helping us forage, keeping the sauna warm, and showing us a great time.

My family had a fantastic time on the farm. The creek is literally right outside the door it was so nice to have hiking trails where I could let my dog walk off leash. Our hosts were great and made sure we were all settled in with everything we could need.

This was not our first stay at the Flying F Ranch Bunkhouse, and it absolutely won’t be our last. We’ve stayed here multiple times, and every visit somehow gets better. That alone should tell you how special this place is. The bunkhouse is always spotless, cozy, and perfectly peaceful. There’s something about waking up to the quiet of the ranch and the rolling Oregon countryside that just resets your soul. It’s the perfect mix of rustic charm and comfort. But what truly makes Flying F exceptional are the hosts. They are genuinely some of the most marvelous, welcoming people you’ll ever meet. They go above and beyond every single time — thoughtful, attentive, and truly invested in making sure your stay is wonderful. You feel less like a guest and more like a friend coming back to visit. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with hosts who truly care, this is it. We’re already looking forward to our next stay. ❤️

Weekend Trip to Alsea Valley Farm

A lovely weekend spent listening to the rain as we fell asleep. Woke up to gorgeous views of the suspension bridge, got to take part in a sauna and cold plunge in the river, and even found some newts along the trail. An amazing stay and lovely hosts! They were very welcoming and such a cozy stay, we’ll be back for sure. :)

1 night at Powder Creek Campground

Bev and Brenda were so amazingly accommodating! I stayed in the cabin and loved the comfortable bed and the covered deck to sit on. There was also a propane stove to heat up my water. Needless to say, I will be back for sure to do this again. The campground is very secluded from the main home and the road, the running creek was such a beautiful noise and only about 15 paces away from my front step. My dog was with me and he was loving the space to run and play with the ball.

The cabin is tidy and cozy. There are a few games to play, and space to relax. We loved hiking the trails and hanging out near the creek. We heard a great horned owl at night. The property is lovely, and there's great communication with the hosts, who are friendly, and made the stay comfortable. The composting toilet doesn't smell bad at all, and the shower is really nice, with pretty mosaic tiles. This is our second stay, and its a great place to relax and play with family. Our kid really loves sleeping in the loft. Great views all around.

The property itself is very beautiful. The cabin has a lot of charm and character and it was nice being right next to the creek with the sound of the water. Communication with the host was both great before and during our stay. They were super helpful with getting the sauna going when we reached out. The cabin was clean and it was nice to have some legit cookware including stainless steel pots and pans and a cast iron skillet as opposed to the scratched Teflon at so many places. The kitchen has the basics like salt, pepper, and cooking oil. The wood burning stove has a good draw and heats the place well. Nice dried bundles were already next to the cabin for a very reasonable cost of $5 per bundle. There is an electric heating unit in both the kitchen and the bedroom. The only caveat being that they're not suppose to run at the same time. The cabin was really lovely along with the great host so we definitely recommend staying here.

Brent & Tabitha's land is beautiful and serene, I had an amazing stay at the bunk house! I like to go out of town for New Year's Eve to get my dogs away from the fireworks and this place was exactly what I was looking for. They were so kind, showed me how to use the generator and started a fire in the wood stove for me. I definitely recommend buying some of their meat, it's very high-quality! My dogs and I had a wonderful, quiet stay here, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away and unplug.

Weekend Trip to Zen Garden Sanctuary Spa

These guys put the hip in #hipcamp. Jim was a wonderful and engaging host. We stayed in the caboose and the highlights were hanging out with the host and his friends, the sauna, and hot tub. If you are bringing kids maybe check with the host or Eric on the vibe before coming. It is a beautiful property and you can tell Jim has put a lot of thought, effort, and himself in the place. We hope to return, go Hoosiers!

One of my favorite cabin stays Ive ever experienced! The land is magical and the cabin was so cozy and inviting with thoughtful touches. My favorite place was the loft, waking up to the windows surrounding you with beautiful trees and rain pouring on the roof- can’t get much better. My partner and my dog and I felt very welcomed by Danny and Molly and we hope to return!

Staying at the flying f ranch was so relaxing and refreshing. The cows did make their way up to the cabin and it was so cool getting to watch them. Brent and Tabitha showed us up to the cabin and were very nice, they were welcoming and had a beautiful property! Definitely get some steaks, eggs and ground beef!! They were delicious!! The porch sitting is awesome as well!

Weekend Trip to Alsea Valley Farm

We had a wonderful time staying at this special spot for a friends getaway. Our host was extremely helpful and responsive. The cabin is so well thought-out, and it's lovely to see the creativity and time that has gone into this property. It's so nice to be able to walk right out the door and hike their private trails, listen to the creek, and relax. We arrived right after fire restrictions were lifted, so we were able to use the outdoor fire pit and look at the stars. We also used the sauna every day we were there. It has an electric sauna heater and a small woodstove, so you can choose your heat source, and the short little path down to the cold dip in the creek is genius. Some folks in reviews have mentioned the composting toilets--as some of our group lives entirely off-grid, we were actually taking pictures of their setup because it's really well designed. Just think of all the water you're saving in the world. The property itself is well cared for, and their little dog is such a cutie. We would definitely stay here again!

This place is magical. You feel it right when you drive up and it just pops up everywhere in all the details of the property. The cabin views are incredible and it’s so cool to watch the birds/sky change colors throughout the day. Also the bed/cabin is so cozy I slept for 10+ hours both nights (magic!). Kim is so kind and generous. She feels like you’ve known her for ages. It’s hard to put into words how special this place felt. In short, I can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to come back!

South Beach Campground

This is a very large campground, with a mixture of RV/Trailer, tent, and yurt sites available, some with hookups. Large campground with a lot of families, etc. so not the quietest spot. But a great stay as it is central to trails and places to see in area. Trail from campground (multiple) lead right to the beach which is awesome. Full bathrooms and water onsite. They also have a little shop with some merchandise and snacks, ice, etc. They have bikes for rent (free i think) for guests there. They also have a free dump site available. This place books quickly so look in advance. I was able to book a spot a few nights before but not for more than a night and ended up moving around to different spots within the campground during my stay. Does h

South Beach Campground

Stopped here with a friend as we traveled up the coast. Campsite was clean, quiet and about a quarter mile from the beach. Bathrooms have showers if you need them and rangers were available for questions. Great trails for walking, biking, running, etc.. Great stop along the coast.
