The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. There is abundant wildlife on our property, including deer, wild turkeys, black bears (rarely seen), many varieties of birds, and more. Learn more about this land: One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van in a meadow near some fir trees bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility. Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek. When entering the property at the county road, you’ll see a big Century Farm sign on the left at the driveway entrance. Continue past a brown machine shed. You will see two apple trees on your left. Just beyond the apple trees is a sign, on a big fir tree. This sign points to the direction of the campsite. Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path down to the creek and campsite which you may drive. Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. On the left, at the entrance to the barn, is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. We have a free-range farm atmosphere, with 2 kids, 2 large dogs, 2 cats, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are not allowed in the tiny house and that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land. No smoking in the Tiny House. This rustic property is close enough to Hwy 101 and downtown to be convenient, but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway, but once at the top, it is flat, and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red-tailed hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). It is quite an "up and down" walk to Old Town for dinner, or you can bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Prichard State Park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river. Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by!

Welcome to the river! This beautiful 10 acre property is located on the scenic main Umpqua River. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite. Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge! There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months (Mid April through Labor Day Weekend - please message us for exact dates if you need it and are booking outside this window). There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.

We have two gates so our guests have a private entrance with secure parking. There are two well behaved dogs, Figi and Kit and one cat, Riddle on the property. It is okay to have your well behaved dog off leash and a small camp fire most times of the year. We have an outdoor sitting area and BBQ. Small shower bath combo in the camper and in progress a dog washing station! Even though the photos illustrate the beauty and privacy to the West, we do hear some traffic to the East and the ground can be a bit muddy near the bay. We encourage guests to walk on the pathways vs the marsh which we are preserving if they head out to the sandy beach to clam or kayak. Other sports that could be fun would be kite surfing, or wet suit swimming.

Awesome fishing opportunities next to the Smith River and close to other great fishing spots. Great meeting place for families to make memories that last a lifetime. We don’t offer any hook ups at the sites but amenities include: Bathrooms, showers, potable water, and an RV dump. Also recommend when driving to our campground when you use most apps for directions to take the route that takes you to Reedsport then east on Lower smith river rd. Welcome to the river! This beautiful 10 acre property is located on the scenic main Umpqua River. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite. Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge! There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months (Mid April through Labor Day Weekend - please message us for exact dates if you need it and are booking outside this window). There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.

Tim's place was absolutely amazing, the endless possibilities and beautiful sounds and views 😍 we will be back. The sites where way bigger than we expected, we had plenty of room for all of us. It was so nice. We could hear the Elk and sea lions all night and the morning before we left we seen some whales just a couple of minutes down the road. It was an experience.

The spot was easy to find. The view is really nice. We booked for only one night as we were just looking for a safe night to sleep while fishing the Siuslaw. We sat up our sleeping mats and blankets and slept inside the little tiny building in the property. We brought our own bathroom set up. It worked out really nice for what we needed. Weekend Trip to Creekside Retreat At Triangle Lake

I’ve been looking for a camp spot next to water for a very long time, and not only did I find it, it exceeded every expectation I could have. From the very first email to Brooke, to checking out Sunday morning waving bye to Tom our weekend at Creekside Retreat was incredible. The campground is stunning, beautifully maintained, and packed full of activities from board games to hiking to a waterfall. The hosts have taken their hearts and souls and embedded it into this retreat and it shows through all the details. Not only will this be my favorite spot forever, it’s the one I’ll be telling everyone about. Thank you for the best weekend away! Beautiful location on the Smith River with easy access drive-in site in my van. Each site had a picnic table. There is a small store with food items for sale but not much remained although my visit was at the end of the fishing season. Well stocked bar with plenty of brew selection. This Hip-camp is 15-20 minutes from Reedsport which is a good location for any needed business in the city of Reedsport. I will definitely stay here again when I visit the area.
