You are also just minutes to the very convenient Town of Reedsport dumping station at the corner of HWYs 38 and 101. You will find anything you might need in town, from groceries to fishing and crabbing equipment. Truly one of the most beautiful areas of the Oregon coast, activities in the region abound. Crabbing and fishing are centralized in Winchester Bay, about 10 minutes away. You are also located very near the mouth of the mighty Umpqua River, one of the best salmon fisheries in the state. Easy access to the coastal dunes is available up and down HWY 101 both North and South. Winchester Bay offers the closest entrance to the dunes where you can ride atvs and 4x4s and permits can be purchased in town. Stunning options for hiking, biking and mushroom hunting surround you here on the central Oregon Coast. With rainforest on one side of HWY 101 and coastal dunes on the other, there are many opportunities to explore different types of forested areas and trails. Wildlife enthusiasts are just minutes away from the Dean Creek Elk Viewing wildlife recreational area on HWY 38. This large herd can be seen daily grazing in the meadows.

This magical property is conveniently located 5 miles north of Florence and directly on Hwy 101, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the ocean. This is a large private site that is surrounded by old growth timber and teaming with flora and fauna. Campers are encouraged to explore, but be aware, this property is wild.. and encounters with wildlife are common. Beyond the adventuring that can be done on the property, Baker Beach state park is less than a half a mile away and there is a plethora of trails, parks, and lakes within 10 miles. We do have full time neighbors just to the North, so we ask that you be respectful and cautious with regard to dogs/noise. Hwy 101 can be very dangerous for unsuspecting pets. There are several roadside campfire stations(directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night. **Be advised that we are slowly working on the property to eventually create more camping space. There was a lot of dirt/fill brought in over the winter of 2022 and the property may not be as green as years past.** Please be our guests, relax, and enjoy!

What a great space! Getting there can be a little tricky since the Maps directions are just a little off and the gate is hard to spot from highway, but if the three of us can pull it off- anyone can! Lots of room for group camping. For its proximity to 101, the site is quiet and feels secluded. Port-a-potty was clean, the fire pit was perfect, and overall we had a great time. Would definitely return.

Easy access, private, spot right off of 101. If traffic noise bothers you, this might not be the right spot for you. But, I’ve tent camped here twice and our group always has a good time. Quieter in the evening and you can hear the ocean in the distance. Great for big groups and dogs. Clean and routinely maintained porta potty. Will definitely stay again!

I can't say enough good things about this site. It was conveniently located about 10 minutes from Florence right off the 101. I felt spoiled staying here and having this huge place all to myself. There were so many options where to set up my tent. There's a fire pit, a picnic table, and a porta-potty with lights installed. There is a house next door but I never heard or saw anyone. Megan was very friendly and approved my request to stay there pretty quick. There are pay showers at 37th Street Coin Laundry ($4.00), and a huge Fred Meyers within a 10 minute drive from camp right as you get to Florence. I could hear the cars on the road earlier in the day, but after 10 pm I barely heard it, and slept like a baby all through the night. Between the creeking of the gate when opening, and having neighbors right there added an element of safety for me at night, and my gear if I left for a bit. I really did feel spoiled. It was perfect for me at that point on my road trip down the coast. I highly recommend it.

This was the perfect spot to pitch our tent, have a little fire and get some sleep! There is a picnic table and nice fire pit as well as decently soft and mostly flat ground area for a tent. The trees are amazing, very private area and was easy to find, even in the dark as we arrived fairly late.

Huge forest grove all to ourselves! Drive north for less than one minute for one of the best coastal views we’ve seen in our many travels. The porta-potties were the cleanest ever. So know that this site is right off the highway, but we noticed that at night there’s very little traffic, and the location can’t be beat. For some the road noise might be a bit much but we really didn’t mind. The site is nice and private, with a big picnic table and fire ring and plenty of level places to set up a tent or an RV. We will definitely return to this one.

It was perfect for myself and my dog! I’m glad I arrived early to be able to find the gate, as well as look around to figure out where best to pitch my tent. Went out to visit with some friends that night and had a difficult time trying to find the turn off in the dark- but for me that’s all a part of the fun 😉 My dog did not want to leave. This spot is the perfect, private piece of land I hope to find on Hipcamp. It’s right next to the 101 so super easy to get on and off during a road-trip. The highway noise is all just the swishing sound of cars, not semis & loud trucks like camping near 1-5 so it’s not bad at all and gets very quiet at night. The land is big enough to walk around a bit and stretch out. The picnic table and fire pit seating area around it are all you need. The porta potties are spotless and smell good! And the magnificent trees and all the birds in them are a real treat. We had such a lovely, peaceful stay and highly recommend to anyone needing a private respite on a camping trip on the 101.

Welcome to the river! This beautiful 10 acre property is located on the scenic main Umpqua River. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite. Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge! There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months (Mid April through Labor Day Weekend - please message us for exact dates if you need it and are booking outside this window). There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.

The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. Your stay here helps us to pay the bills and keep making this small patch of earth better. The property is on a sunny bench not far from the ocean and usually above the fog line. Our location gets ample sunshine most days and is surrounded on 3 sides by a forest of trees. The property is fenced and access is by gate. There are two seperate campsites which are separated by our central garden and bamboo plantings. There is very little street traffic before 9 AM and after 4 PM Mon-Sat. Sundays are quiet. Both sites can use the portable toilet and outdoor shower. We keep it clean and odor free for a sanitary camping experience. Bring your bikes, boards and outdoor gear! Many adventures to be had here on the central coast. Your hosts are avid surfers and cyclists and can help direct you to the best spots to match your skill level. The property is close to town as well as bike loops, gravel roads and trails. We're also close to the beach. Within a short drive surfers of all levels can find something fun to ride nearly everyday of summer and fall. The 18 hole golf course is just down the street from the property and the town of Waldport is 2 miles away. Yachats is a short 12 minute drive to the south where you can find amazing restaurants where they serve fresh roasted coffee along with a large menu of drinks and treats at places such as The Green Salmon Cafe. White sand beaches are located just down the hill from us where you can walk all the way from the mouth of the Alsea river to the mouth of the Yachats river. Forested and easily accessible walking trails are also nearby. South of the property is Cape Perpetua - a natural wonderland with whales, tide pools, blowholes and a 26 mile trail system. This serene park features 38 spacious sites, including 10 pull-thru options in the main area and an additional 8 sites set in a picturesque meadow, providing guests with a perfect blend of comfort and nature. Each site is equipped with 30/50 amp electrical service and water access, ensuring a hassle-free stay. For your convenience, two dump stations are available exclusively for registered guests. While Verizon phone service and Wi-Fi are provided, please note that cable is not available; however, local stations from Eugene can be accessed with an antenna.
