Peace & Solitude

5 sites · RVs, Tents121 acres · Newport, OR
Our Private Land is located in Newport Oregon. Daily you can hear the ocean roar and smell the fresh air off the water. It is a forest area accessible by trails that all link together. There is also a very nice trail off our land to a nearby city trail that will lead you to Agate Beach. You will see coastal evergreens and deciduous trees with all sorts of other bushes and flowers that you typically find along the Oregon Coast. Some of the wildlife on the land such as blacktail deer and many species of birds are seen and heard on most days. You will see breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, the Yaquina Bay Bridge, the Yaquina Head Lighthouse, and Big Creek Reservoir. These landmarks can be seen randomly throughout your walk on the trails and from the campsites. There are beautiful sunsets and sunrises. On a clear night you can see the constellations, undisturbed by city lights. Our property provides a lot of room to be by yourself. Hammock, book, write, read, and my favorite... take a nap. A place of peace and solitude away from the public.

Timber Sands

5 sites · RVs, Tents52 acres · Cloverdale, OR
CLOSED FOR THE SEASON - CHECK BACK NEXT YEAR! Timbersands is an up and coming 52 acre organic farm on the Oregon Coast, I started this project in 2022 with the goal of growing fruits and vegetables year round, with the help of greenhouses and the temperate coastal climate. The property has a long history as an original 1910 homestead that began as a cranberry farm and later a blueberry farm. Now it is mostly a natural coastal forest with some sunny pastures, gardens and winding creeks. Located 6 miles north of Pacific City and less than a mile from Sand Lake beaches and recreation area. Enjoy a dispersed camping atmosphere without the hassle of neighbors right next door. Please note there are free range chickens and other farm animals, as well as wild elk and deer. If you have pets that chase or attack animals they need to be on leash at all times, but they are always welcome. Filtered and UV treated spring water for fill ups. Brand new weekly cleaned portable toilet. Please pack out any trash. Firewood available on request. Busy weekends bring distant noise of ATVs on the sand dunes! Riverwood on the Siletz

3 sites · RVs, Tents1 acre · Lincoln Beach, OR
We will be opening March 1st, 2024 but, are taking reservations now for spring, summer and fall Our campsites are easily accessible by vehicle and we have room for tents, small trailers and camper vans too. The sites are grassy and relatively level, situated under large spruce trees. We are still in tidewater here so both sites sit above the river (about a 15' river bank at high tide). The Riverside site has a fire pit and a deck for viewing the river. The Riverwood site is away from the river bank about 100' and sits under beautiful, large spruce trees. It is a short walk from both sites to our ramp and dock to be on the river. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests, Yay! We have an apartment in the downstairs of our house, about 150' walk from both campsites. It has a kitchenette with a barista bar, microwave, small fridge, a small living area, private toilet and shower. (bring your own towels, soap, etc.). We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. PLEASE NOTE.....We didn't realize how popular our Bunkie would be so to avoid double booking and disappointing our guests, we will keep you posted on the availability. The Glass House IS currently AVAILABLE these dates: AVAILABLE: March 1-May 21 Mar 25 - 27 April 1- May 24 May 29 - June 18 June 24 - July 3 July 8 - July 31 August 23 - 29 September 4 on into fall The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. Bring your Kayak or SUP to explore the slow moving river (or rent ours!). Enjoy a wide variety of wildlife; migrating and resident birds, Beavers early in the morning and evenings. Our resident River Otters have been very active the past couple of years. You'll see them in the morning and evenings swimming, playing and munching on Crawdads. There are Deer although we seldom see them on our property but, they are across the river. There is a huge heard of Elk down river. Our property is about a 10 minute drive along the beautiful Siletz River to the Ocean/Hwy 101, south of Lincoln City. There is hiking close by and miles of coastline to explore. We are happy to help you have the best experience at the coast...Just ask! A little about the process and the property: Once you reserve a camp site you'll receive a welcome message with the physical address to the property and the instructions on how to navigate the property once you are here. There is a HIPCAMP sign with an arrow to direct you to the 2 camp sites. There are also "END HIPCAMP" signs on our property lines to preserve our neighbors privacy. Check-in is 2pm or later, check out is 12noon or before. To be respectful of other campers that are excited to get outdoors (and to allow us to clean the bathroom and make sure the property is ready for the next campers) we need to adhere to these times. FIRE RESTRICTIONS - There are no fire restrictions currently but, we want you to extinguish fires when you leave the property. We have bottles of water at each site to do so. Also, we provide fire extinguishers if there is an emergency grass fire. A little about the property and us: We purchased this property 10 years ago. It is about an acre total that includes where our house sits and the 3 adjacent lots where our Hipcamp sites are. The property and house had sat vacant for 3 years prior to us finding it. It was a mess, all overgrown with blackberries, moss, etc. We spent the first 3 years cleaning up the house, apartment downstairs and clearing the property so it was usable. Back in the 30's and 40's this stretch of the Siletz River was called Mack's Landing. The original house where there was a gas station and mercantile is still here just SW of here. There were small fishing cabins along about 500' of riverfront where people would come to fish. WE still run into the concrete foundations from time to time. We had only dreamed of having a place on a river...somewhere...when we came across this property. We both love the outdoors and have always loved camping with our kids. Rick is an avid fisherman/hunter while Debbie enjoys kayaking, gardening, reading and watching the river go by. Thanks for checking us out! Debbie and Rick and our two Cattledogs, Luna and Piper

Rose Lodge - The Old School

16 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Otis, OR
This property was the Old Rose Lodge School which consisted of two classrooms originally. On the property sets the old school house and gymnasium. The property now consists of approximately 5 acres with the back side of the property being nicely lined with trees to tuck tents into. The property is located approximately a 100 yards from the salmon river and setting directly across the street is a large protected creek. We set outside of Lincoln City about 6 miles and are located outside of what we refer to as the fog bank so it will be warmer or colder depending on the time of the year than what it is in Lincoln City. We have a community fire pit, that all campers utilize and have open fires when we aren’t restricted by the County to allow open fire burns. Typically we will let you know when there is no fires allowed whatsoever, but all visitors have a good time getting to know other visitors.

Camping near Pacific City guide

Overview

With rolling sand dunes and three rocky capes, Pacific City is one of those spots on the Oregon Coast that makes you stop and stare. In this hip beach town, surf and sand take center stage. Pull into an ocean-view RV park, or pitch a tent by the beach. The roaring Pacific and the screech of bald eagles are never far off. The heart of Pacific City's natural wonders is Cape Kiwanda State Park. Explore the rugged peninsula, look for tide pools, or hang Glide from a towering dune—all within a short walk from your campsite. You can find more tent camping and RV camping at Woods Campground. Nestled on the Big Nestucca River, this seasonal hideaway is a favorite of anglers. If birding is more your speed, Whalen Island Park is your go-to camping spot. (Reach it from Sandlake Rd. in nearby Cloverdale). The campground borders the Sand Lake Estuary, home to hundreds of shorebirds and waterfowl. Are you craving some beach time? Head to Webb County Campground, just steps from Pacific City Beach. Grab your surfboard to catch a few waves, or check out the dory boat launches (fishing from one is a rite of passage). Around Pacific City, you also find shore-hugging RV resorts complete with picnic tables and full hookups. If you're dying to camp in comfort without a big rig, rent a yurt, lodge, or cabin with unbeatable cape views.
