*Please note, while we have no direct neighbors, we are in a narrow river canyon. There is an active farm and wedding venue across the river. Please be careful when using Google maps, for whatever reason it has taken several people to other places other than mine. I posted a picture of the entrance of my property, hopefully this will help. Hurlys Hideaway is a very nice location located approximately 2 miles from the town of Tillamook. Very close to the beach Sand Lake various Rivers for fishing kayaking swimming Etc. Approximately 4 MI from Netarts Oceanside area, Netarts Bay, Cape Mears. A very nice location to be able to access all of these activities in Tillamook County. My land is Timber, some clearings, we'll see how this goes I'm just getting started. Also, I just learned that the transient tax for Tillamook Oregon is an additional 10% and I hate to do this but I'm going to have to raise my prices $5. If you are coming from Town, I'm 2 mi. from the hospital west on hwy. 131. Look for the purple Minnesota Vikings bus shack. I also put up a hipcamp sign just up my driveway a bit. If you are coming from the south on Fraiser road, turn right when you come to hwy. 131. I'm less than a quarter mile on your left. Also a heads up lately I've had a few people that are having a hard time booking and I learned from another camper if you're staying one night you actually have to select two days it includes the day you check out I just experienced that with another camper so just a bit information I don't know if hip camp changed something or what, but if you're staying one night select two days and it'll work.

Niagara Creek/Pheasant Creek falls is a nearby hiking trail and there are roads as well as deer and elk trails to explore all over the ranch. If you feel like venturing further, the beach is 23 miles away in Pacific City. Tillamook is 25 miles.
We also offer pasture raised pork for sale. A variety of sausages (breakfast, chorizo, Italian, Bratwurst and French Garlic links) and pork chops.

20 years ago James and Patricia purchased land that had been logged multiple time, and built a house to raise a family, and watch the forest regrow. James loves trains and this area had a logging operation in the early 1900's that included railroads, donkey engines and logging camps in the area.
In the 1980's several 10 to 20 acre parcels were sold to people who wanted a piece of the country life. James and Patricia now live on one of those parcels and look forward to the next generation enjoying the country life.
When James and Patricia bought the property, the previous owner had cut down most of the trees and would mow most of the land. The land was allowed to recover with alder being the first forest which replenished the soil. In a few areas scotch broom (invasive plants) took hold. Not wanting to use toxic chemicals that could leach into the water supply getting rid of scotch broom was a challenge but now there is large meadow with baby Christmas trees growing (marked by the red flags). In many other places douglas fir has planted itself along with new cedar trees. There is beautiful undergrowth that includes thimble berry, Oregon grape, candy stripe and many other wild plants. There is red huckleberry growing in various places and makes a great snack when they are ripe.
Speaking of wild,
there is a lot wildlife here. Several species of birds live here including
family of humming birds. Sometimes you will see grouse, geese, ducks, swallows, red tail hawks, even a glimpse of a bald eagle. There are wild bunnies, gardener snakes, frogs, salamanders. If you go along the trails you might see signs of deer or coyote.
There are currently chickens that live near the garage and garden (that's why dogs must be on leash).

Pitch your tent in a shady meadow next to a small pond. Enjoy the serenity and the coastal mountain breezes flowing through the tree tops. There are hiking trails through forest land. The camp site is situated on the bottom of my property a half mile from the lake. It is a fairly secluded campsite with room for up to 6 tents. Sain Creek recreational area is just off our road at the lake with C- ramp another quarter of a mile around the lake. All of the lake is a park so you have to enter the park to come to our spot.

The campground is in a secluded meadow next to Powder Creek, a pristine year round stream, perfect for wading and playing in. If you're looking to unplug and escape from the chaos of city life, we are all about peace and quiet and connecting with nature.
Each of our 13 extra large campsites offers access to the creek, a picnic table and campfire ring.
All sites accommodate RVs as well as tent camping. No hook-ups or potable water available.
There are seven (7) creek side sites, one site next to a pond and all have ample space around them so you don't feel crowded.
Our newest addition is a cabin overlooking Powder Creek, tucked away by itself. Solar powered.
The Ranch has 1/2 mile of Nestucca River frontage where you can swim or fish, whichever floats your boat.
Niagara Creek/Pheasant Creek falls is a nearby hiking trail and there are roads as well as deer and elk trails to explore all over the ranch. If you feel like venturing further, the beach is 23 miles away in Pacific City. Tillamook is 25 miles.
We also offer pasture raised pork for sale. A variety of sausages (breakfast, chorizo, Italian, Bratwurst and French Garlic links) and pork chops.

20 years ago James and Patricia purchased land that had been logged multiple time, and built a house to raise a family, and watch the forest regrow. James loves trains and this area had a logging operation in the early 1900's that included railroads, donkey engines and logging camps in the area.
In the 1980's several 10 to 20 acre parcels were sold to people who wanted a piece of the country life. James and Patricia now live on one of those parcels and look forward to the next generation enjoying the country life.
When James and Patricia bought the property, the previous owner had cut down most of the trees and would mow most of the land. The land was allowed to recover with alder being the first forest which replenished the soil. In a few areas scotch broom (invasive plants) took hold. Not wanting to use toxic chemicals that could leach into the water supply getting rid of scotch broom was a challenge but now there is large meadow with baby Christmas trees growing (marked by the red flags). In many other places douglas fir has planted itself along with new cedar trees. There is beautiful undergrowth that includes thimble berry, Oregon grape, candy stripe and many other wild plants. There is red huckleberry growing in various places and makes a great snack when they are ripe.
Speaking of wild,
there is a lot wildlife here. Several species of birds live here including
family of humming birds. Sometimes you will see grouse, geese, ducks, swallows, red tail hawks, even a glimpse of a bald eagle. There are wild bunnies, gardener snakes, frogs, salamanders. If you go along the trails you might see signs of deer or coyote.
There are currently chickens that live near the garage and garden (that's why dogs must be on leash).

Pitch your tent in a shady meadow next to a small pond. Enjoy the serenity and the coastal mountain breezes flowing through the tree tops. There are hiking trails through forest land. Wake in the morning to birds singing, and fall asleep to the frogs in the pond. Clear nights and you can see a lot of stars. During the right season there are blackberries, red huckleberries and thimble berries. The Banks-Vernonia Linear trail State park and LL Stub Stewart are both near this beautiful little space.

Located an hour west of Portland through Oregons wine country. We are located in Scoggins valley which is home to Henry Hagg lake and the Scoggins valley park. The Lake offers a bunch of recreation including swimming , boating ,fishing ,hiking , biking and paddle board rentals. The camp site is situated on the bottom of my property a half mile from the lake. It is a fairly secluded campsite with room for up to 6 tents. Nestled in the woods there is a nice verity of sunny and shady spots a campfire spot, a picnic table and a porta potty. Sain Creek recreational area is just off our road at the lake with C- ramp another quarter of a mile around the lake. All of the lake is a park so you have to enter the park to come to our spot.

Weekend Trip to Fern Haus
Such a cozy and witchy vibe me and my fiancé had such a wonderful time staying here for Valentine’s Day weekend. The aesthetic was well thought out and the cabin was well stocked for a relaxing time. The cabin was a little hard to find in the dark when we arrived as it’s tucked into the back of the property, but once we found it it was nothing but a great time.

We had a very nice stay at Mark's property. It was quite a rainy weekend, so it seemed we were the only visitors, but Mark was very communicative and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. The location was perfect for our weekend visiting Netarts and Oceanside, as well as Tillamook.

This spot was perfect. Very quiet and serene. Mark was so personable and I had a great time chatting with him (and his pup) upon arrival. He rode out to my spot to make sure it would work for my car and gave me helpful advice for my trip. Definitely take him up on his recommendation for Werner Beef and Brew! Bev and Brenda were so amazingly accommodating! I stayed in the cabin and loved the comfortable bed and the covered deck to sit on. There was also a propane stove to heat up my water. Needless to say, I will be back for sure to do this again. The campground is very secluded from the main home and the road, the running creek was such a beautiful noise and only about 15 paces away from my front step. My dog was with me and he was loving the space to run and play with the ball.

This is my most favorite Hipcamp, the setting was like a state park, the host was very welcoming.
Sites vary between Forest camping and Orchard camping, I was in a big van so I took the Orchard. Incredible views and enjoyed walking around the land. Definitely will stay again when I’m in the area. Don’t be put off by the steep driveway, a UPS truck makes it up and down!

The cabin at Sarah’s place is awesome. It’s warm and cozy with thoughtful touches and the rushing river is blissful. Seeing the salmon spawning and jumping was an extra treat. My daughter and I had a lovely stay at this amazing property in the Witches Cabin. My daughter and I explored around the property and we had the best time. Dionne is a amazing host that helped us find the location and also came out to make sure we were all good at our campsite later on in the night. I recommend going to this hipcamp any time!

Great, private one night stay. Host Mark was super friendly. We really enjoyed talking to him. We walked the trails around our site with our dogs and hiss dog, Augie. Augie is also very friendly. Mark left us fire wood and offered us water in our tank which was so thoughtful. Would definitely stay again.

This piece of land is absolutely stunning!
Came in on a rainy night and Mark suggested I move up a few sites for more comfort. I woke up to a lovely apple orchard the next morning and watched so many deer pass through! First time I’ve ever seen an apple tree, too! As a solo traveler, I felt safe and secure. 10/10 experience - thank you again, Mark!
