Walk the shoreline agate hunting, fish from Harrington point, borrow one of our water crafts for a day paddle or bring a bike to enjoy miles of looping farm roads. This is a nature lovers paradise. Look for otters, sea lions, white pelicans, eagles, king fishers, porcupines and many more.
We have a dry, pull through RV site that can accommodate 1 RV.
A short walk down the road to our driveway will lead you to the beach access. There are 2 canoes and 2 kayaks onsite with adult sized lifejackets and paddles for you to borrow.
Bring your WA state fishing license and you can fish off the point or try your hand at kayak fishing!
Please be aware that this property is located just off the shipping channel. It’s important to keep watch for ships, changing tides and inclement weather.
The shoreline is rocky, requiring sturdy footwear. You will likely have to carry your watercraft over some large pieces of driftwood to enter the water. Please return all watercraft to its original place to keep them safe from changing tides.

What to Know Before You Book
The cabin sleeps 3 adults comfortably and has basic amenities inside: bed and futon with bedding, chairs and table, games and a small library. The outdoor kitchen includes two picnic tables, a gas and charcoal grill with burner, basic cooking equipment, and dishes for 8. Propane and wood fire pits are included.
Camping at Hidden Pillar is a primitive, off-grid experience:
- No electricity; no running water
- Bring all water or purification system; pack out all trash
- Gravel roads are steep and rutted—high-clearance vehicle recommended for cabin and Creekside access

Visit the only working covered bridge in Washington State. Bring a kayak or floaties. Ride your bike on a beautiful country road. The water is very amazing and surrounded by woods. There are 2 sites directly on the river and 2 about 50' from the river with a river view. A few miles away is a little restaurant called Duffy's. Open only Thu - Sunday. It is 12 miles to nearest town in both directions for a store and gas. There is a Porta potty and picnic tables. No potable water yet so please bring your own. A contained fire allowed. Wood is available to buy. Most phones get service. No electric at this time. Pet friendly. Pets must be on a leash for their safety. ( You should be able to let you dogs run free down at the end of the beach) Life jackets are highly recommended for people who can't swim. Two sites have a little country rd that is between you and the riverfront that hardly gets used. The river is a stone throw away. Only 26 miles to Astoria Oregon and 34 miles to Long Beach Washington. There is a old farmhouse on the top of the hill that is not lived in. I store my tools in there that I use. All sites are huge. Twisted Tree Camp s a 13 acre property about 5 miles north of Long Beach, Washington. The property is long and skinny, we have built road that accesses the back of the property. The campsite is in the middle of the woods, you can wake up to many birds singing and no neighbors in sight. In the evening you can listen to the frogs singing while you stare at th campfire.
The road winds thru the trees and this is not suitable for vehicles longer than 23 feet or wider than 8 feet.
There are multiple twisted trees along the road as you drive in to the campsite. We have recently built the road to the campsite at the back of the land so there is still evidence of recent construction along the road.
There are two cameras on site - one at the entrance along Pacific Way and one by the campsite at the end of the road. Cameras are there to monitor the site after hipcampers have left and will not be on while campers have rented the space.
Nearby there is SnowPeak Campfield that has a sauna and hot tub. There are many restaurants and public beaches to experience. During the summer there are numerous events like the kite festival, sandcastle festival, Rod Run and others.

We have two furnished geodesic domes, each with its own bathroom, outdoor kitchenette area, and wood-fired hot tub. On hot days, enjoy a refreshing cold shower, located next to the sauna. The sauna is a shared space when both domes are rented.
Our 20-foot dome can sleep up to 4 people, and our 16-foot dome can accommodate up to 2 guests. We have a designated parking area on the upper level, with only a few steps down the slope to reach your destination. Mary has created an absolute gem of a Hipcamp! Our spot was exceptionally clean, quiet, and offered an incredible view right on the Grays River. It’s a premier, centrally located basecamp for both fishing and hunting. You can truly see all the hard work Mary has poured into the property. The road leading in is peaceful with virtually no traffic, just beautiful trees, abundant birdlife, and pure relaxation. We had such a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Quiet weekend. My dog and I walked the field trails in the morning and evening. Saturday morning we walked to the Covered Bridge. Four and a half mile (rt) walk on a road that had very little traffic. Past an old farm on the way. The elk were out early Sunday morning but we missed them.

It was an amazing site that was definitely well loved and cared for. Hosts provided lots of games for every one to play. So much so that we canceled some of our plans to stay at the site and play. The water was super easy to get to and absolutely beautiful. Although the site was right off the road its such a small sleepy island that it felt like we were decently secluded but it was nice that store and such were so close. My kids were already asking to go back on the drive home.

I tent camped at Water's Edge and it was terrific. A short hike to the banks of the river and speaking of Grays River, the sound of the flowing water at night was so peaceful to fall asleep to. A country road close by yet barely saw any cars and none at night. Mary the host is available and attentive. I'll be back and so should you! Happy Travels :)

We camped here over the weekend for the International Kite Festival in Long Beach. Anne was kind enough to place us in a group camping area, so we had some privacy from the other campsites, as well as our own fire pit! Our campsite was easy to find and was a great spot to spend quality time together in nature. It was also not too far from town. We saw a lot of banana slugs!
