We really enjoyed our stay! Very peaceful and an awesome flat yard for playing games with the kids. Loved having a fire in the evenings. Tracy was very accommodating.

Our stay at Tracy’s property on Puget Island in the middle of the Columbia river was divine. We were concluding our weeklong trek through the state and last night was rounded out our stays in wine country, high dessert and the coastal towns dotting the Western Coast. We parked our Sprinter next to the fire pit steps from the beach, watched the tugs, ferry and barges go by, uncorked a local Pinot and toasted to a memorable visit to Oregon. Thank you so much for having us!

I stayed at this Hipcamp twice in one week to break up a long drive to the Oregon coast, and it was the perfect stop both times. The site is right along the Columbia River — incredibly quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. Waking up in my van to the view of the water and sound of birds was just what I needed. The host’s house is on the property but set back enough that the site still feels private. I’d absolutely stay again.

This is a beautiful spot on the. Columbia River. I stayed twice (at the start and end of a road trip) and both times were so relaxing. I parked my camper van near the water and spent quiet mornings sipping coffee watching the boats go by. I plan to come back so I can spend some time exploring the island and do a little kayaking.

Had an amazing time on the river enjoy the ships going by and just being in nature. Extra treat was the deer in our camp every night getting a drink of water. Next time I am bringing my rods for some fishing!

I had a great stay! Tracy was friendly, accomodating, and responsed quickly to texts. It's a great location to view the birds and boat traffic, and easy launch point to visit nearby CoffeePot Island.

The views and river access were unparalleled here! When we stayed there was no one else in the neighboring houses, it was so quiet and peaceful. The host was so accommodating and attentive. We had a great stay.

We had a lovely time overall! The host was easy to work with and generous in letting us use their personal bathroom (toilet/sink only, no shower) and kitchen sink for tap water. (Though, my partner and I are kind of shy people, so it was a bit awkward going into their home.)
We enjoyed exploring Cathlamet, especially The Spar, Patty Cakes, River Mile 38, and the Skyline disc golf course. We'd visit the area again but probably choose a different spot for tent camping. RV campers might have a better experience.
I do wish we had known about the neighbors' dogs in advance. We expected the host’s small dog, but the neighbors had several more large and small dogs, and that came as a surprise. Most interactions were fine—our high-energy dog mostly enjoyed the company—but one dog wasn’t very friendly (ours ended up with a small bite mark), and another kept trying to get into our food and trash. The neighbors were very kind people, and our dog wandered to their side a couple of times too, but the unexpected dog activity took away from the secluded, peaceful vibe I was expecting for my partner’s birthday trip. I was hoping it would feel more romantic. The host did offer to talk to the neighbors, which I appreciated, but I declined because I didn’t want to disrupt the neighbor family's holiday weekend on their personal property.
In retrospect, it was a bit expensive for the value. I planned this a bit short notice ahead of the holiday weekend, so my options were limited.

Tracy was a very gracious host. I was worried about the awkwardness of using the bathroom in the host's house, but it proved to not be an issue at all. Thank you for hospitality Tracy!

We enjoyed our stay on Tracy's property, which is right on the river. Tracy was very welcoming and helpful during our stay. The boys got to swim and fish all day, with plenty of room to play. Great spot, with nice sunset views in the evening.

The sand, proximity to the water, a cool island to cruise around in our inflatable boat (with trolling motor), plenty of free-rome space for our dog, nice table and chairs, fire pit.... lovely. Hoping to come back some day.

We had such an amazing experience there! We’d absolutely go back to that same spot. The host was so friendly, always kept the communication immediate if and when you needed her. She introduced herself, but other than that, never bothered us nor had any complaints. She was super kind to our kiddos and even offered a bunch of toys and water gear they could use at any time. I’d highly recommend families with kids and dogs check this place out. You wake up to the spectacular view of the river right in front of you. Super safe for the kids to swim in all day and the water was super fresh and clean. She offers TONS OF SPACE just for you.

Being right there on the river was an awesome camping experience! We went kayaking and biking around the island. BTW- be sure to check tides and winds when planning your kayaking! It’ll save you a lot of work!

We had such a great time staying here! It was on the beautiful Puget Island right on the Columbia River with your own private beach access. You are right behind their house about 100 yards right on the beach. The neighbors were just a few feet next to us using their beach access as well but they never bothered us. Loved this place and would recommend 100%.

We had an absolutely horrible experience here. I was traveling with my two teenage children and arrived at 11:30 at night. The only instructions given on how to find the campsite or to stay to the right of the garage and drive straight to the river. There is an extremely deep pit of sand right along the path that they ask you to travel

First of all the spot is level and right on the water… With places to sit and a fire pit.
I arrived much later than expected and it was dark and I was having a hard time finding my way to the river and the host came out and walked down with me so I could see exactly where to park… She was lovely and helpful and I highly recommend the spot
