Located an hour west of Portland through Oregons wine country. We are located in Scoggins valley which is home to Henry Hagg lake and the Scoggins valley park. The Lake offers a bunch of recreation including swimming , boating ,fishing ,hiking , biking and paddle board rentals. The camp site is situated on the bottom of my property a half mile from the lake. It is a fairly secluded campsite with room for up to 6 tents. Nestled in the woods there is a nice verity of sunny and shady spots a campfire spot, a picnic table and a porta potty. Sain Creek recreational area is just off our road at the lake with C- ramp another quarter of a mile around the lake. All of the lake is a park so you have to enter the park to come to our spot.

A great piece of property that has been handed down in the family. We love camping here. Sites are …… as you drive in first to right in number 1, 2, 3 . 4 is last one to right after cell tower driveway it is now open as an open play area. ( Left hand side is another Hipcamp host they are marked A, B, C, D ) Porta Potty is for my campers it has a combo lock This combo will come to you as automatic message 24hrs prior to arrival time. The lock combo is for top line of lock not the middle. All sites have a picnic table Site 1 and 3 have fire pits. Site 1,3 have campground style BBQ New as of June, 2023 porta potty added. DO NOT put garbage or transfer any waste to porta potty. Jacks Country store in Ocean Park, WA has garbage drop off for small fee depending on size. This was a wonderful spot very close to hagg lake. Lots of areas for tents if you have a big group and it was great for just the 2 of us for a couple nights. The host was nice and provided water when we got there. I would come back for sure!

Really wonderful spot with many places to pitch your tent if you wanted to come as a larger group. As a group of 2, it was nice to have such a large space to enjoy camping right off of Hagg lake. Scott was a wonderful host and super friendly! He provided water and a porta-potty and continued to check in on how things were. Would absolutely stay again!

We chose this site because of the proximity to Hagg Lake and Tree to Tree Adventure park, as a summer last hurrah for our kids. Scott and his dog Hilda were very friendly hosts, stopping in to check on us— Hilda is clearly a common camp visitor as she hung out at our camp for a few hours each day. It was thoughtfully laid out and had several spots for tents. Scott provided water and a clean portapotty. It was pretty dusty as we came at the tail end of a dry summer, so be sure to prepare for that. Overall it was a lovely experience and I’m thankful we had the opportunity to visit.

2 nights at Beach Camp - Long Beach Peninsula

Great experience. We went Sunday-Tuesday so we had the whole campground to ourselves. Even the other side that’s not hosted by this person. The lot is split in half with two owners both found on Hipcamp. Had a fire pit, porta-potty, a private gate entrance, very clean, edged with tall beautiful evergreens, trails around the camp site, wildlife all around. We saw deer cross through the campsite Monday night. You do have to bring your own water. There is no water on site. We found free water at pioneer market in Long Beach. (Jacks country store does not help with water from a spigot) You can’t walk to the beach, it says it’s a 1/4 mile but we did not find any beach walking distance. The closest was a 8 min drive(3 miles). The camp spot is on grass but there are gopher heads that kept getting on my daughter’s foot (1 yr old, so it’s a big deal 😂), riddled along the drive way and edges of campsite. Have to wear shoes all the time to be safe and I’m glad I didn’t take my dog. It would have been a hassle. Other that that, the campsite is a 4 out of 5 in my opinion. No Water, gophers heads, and the misleading about the beach is why it didn’t get 5.

We loved tent camping on Scott’s property! This location is ideal for large groups. There are several large tent pads, parking for multiple vehicles, and it’s secluded area. We had 2 dogs with us who enjoyed meeting his small pup and spending time roaming the property. The lake has several access points within half a mile.

Great place for a stop. Sites 1-3 are large enough for groups. The provided outhouse is clean, and well maintained. It is a nice quiet spot for families. Not far from there is Pacific Pines State Park. It's a nice change from Long Beach. More remote so you can spread out some. Dog owners: Great spot, but look carefully at their paws and fur. Somewhere nearby we picked up puncture vine seeds in our vehicle tires. I don't know where exactly. We looked carefully around in the gravel and saw a couple, but nothing in campsite 3 where we stayed.

This was a surprisingly spacious spot. Flat parking, lots of privacy, without being too far from everything we wanted to do. Portable toilet was clean and stocked. We'll definitely be back in the future.

I loved staying at this camping spot. It’s about 2.3 miles from drive on beach access. It was quiet, clean and had lots of space for each of the sites. It’s in a very safe neighborhood and easy to find. Only downside I would say is it has a lot of thorns (goatheads), so watch your feet and your dogs feet. But all in all I would recommend if you like staying where it’s uncrowded and have lots of room to spread out.

This place was absolutely wonderful. It is close enough to town to grab any forgotten items, but felt like being out in the woods. The land has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate larger groups but still offer privacy. Scott was incredibly thoughtful and kind. We brought some recreation gear to use at Hagg Lake, but this time, kicking back and enjoying the weekend at a relaxed pace won. We really appreciated the thoughtfulness and care put into this camp spot. Can't wait to return!

A basic campsite set in a clearing in the woods. Peaceful and quiet with visits by deer evening and morning. Beautiful beach nearby. There is also a wooden boardwalk through the dunes but didn't find out about it until we left. Next time!
