Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Only 1.5 hours from the PDX/Vancouver area, along the scenic Ocean Beach Highway and nestled in the town of Cathlamet, WA, Los Helechos is a place where you can reset after a busy workweek. We have two furnished geodesic domes, each with its own bathroom, outdoor kitchenette area, and wood-fired hot tub. On hot days, enjoy a refreshing cold plunge! We also have a sauna to help you leave your stress behind. The sauna is a shared space. Our 20-foot dome can sleep up to 4 people, and our 16-foot dome can accommodate up to 2 guests. We have a designated parking area on the upper level, with only a few steps down the slope to reach your destination. Please bring comfortable shoes for walking on the gravel road and flip-flops for getting in and out of the hot tubs. For cooking, we have a small designated area on the deck. A cooking stove and some cookware are available for your use, but you’re also welcome to bring your own barbecue. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do! — The Los Helechos Family

Huckleberry Dome

100%
(2)
Dome · Sleeps 2 · 1 bedroom · 1 bed · 1 toilet
This 16F dome is ideal single visitors or couples . The interior has a queen side bed and some furniture. Bedding and towels provided. The dome has a wood-stove for cold nights, and a fan for hotter days. Enjoy the forest view in the back, while you drink your coffee or bring your yoga mat for your morning routine. The unit counts with a kitchenette area for morning coffee and small refrigerator to keep your food safe. Cups, dishes, utensils and some cookware are available to use, but if you prefer to dine out, the town has some good options (4 minutes drive). Outside the dome is the private bathroom with toilet, sink and hot shower! There's also a designated cooking area with sink. The deck has a table and 3 chairs, and a propane fire pit for night gathering. Next the dome is the wood-fired Cedar hot tub. Easy to operate with a max of 3 people inside (it takes about 2 hrs to warm up the water). To preserve the water quality when using the hot tub, we recommend to take a shower before entering it. Our water comes from a well, so you can drink it directly from the tap (just leave it run for a few secs prior drinking it) or you can filter it with the filter pitcher available. The site also offers a community sauna that might be shared with guests from second unit.
