Camping with Animals & Family
You will not be disappointed what so ever. This is not only an ideal location , but very spacious. We had a tent and a camper and 3 vehicles. We had several friends join us for the day of fun and food and there was plenty of parking. The site over look on the app is spot on as far as how much space there was. The hosts were more than accommodating and they even provided bathrooms with toilet seat covers and TP too. They have games for you to play and were super super nice as well as communicative . Would highly recommend this place if you have a large group. The two sites together are perfect for large groups and it’s right on the river so you can fish. Our dogs had plenty of safe space to roam and have a blast. Will be back again.

West Sunny Sands Beach Campsite 1
Were used to dispersed camping but with a few friends looking to join us who weren’t a fan of “roughing” it, we chose Sunny Sands! We loved being right on the river surrounded by such vast mountains and hills around. The porta potties were so well kept and pleasant to use!! Very impressed with the state of them. The island itself is so cute and set the tone for a laid back relaxing time. The host were concerned of the “heavy traffic” of the area with the event they had going but I didn’t see more than a handful of cars drive by. The land was as shown. Only a few steps from the water, sand, nice place for tents. Not too many trees but enough to keep it shaded. The place is wide open to the road and there isn’t much privacy but you can make do if you have vehicles to block you and like I said the island itself is not very busy. You can really tell the hosts take care of the land to have a place for people to gather and enjoy themselves. The river was great for swimming. Shallow enough for children and animals. Probably a good fishing spot as well

Marie and Michael are great hosts! The spot is so perfect and right at the river's edge! You won't regret staying here! Loved it!
BTW - some mentioned noise from the paper plant, but we didn't find it distracting.

Marie and Mike were the sweetest and made our weekend so amazing! This spot was absolutely perfect and would be so lovely when it’s hot and sunny to play in the water ! Even being too cold to get in the rest of the area was perfect!

This was perfect for us! It was raining like crazy, but our host Mike had built a fire for us! Great spot. I’ve already told a few people!
Also- the restaurant they recommended- Duck Inn- was exactly the kind of place we were looking for, and delicious.
