Our property offers the perfect blend of tranquil waterside camping and forest adventure while maintaining easy access to local amenities.
Our camping mission is to connect our guests with the river and nature in a respectful, sustainable way. “Enjoy the wildlife, don’t become it.” We’re not a party destination, but rather a sanctuary for nature and for campers who appreciate the quiet beauty of a riverside camping experience.
What We Offer
We provide four primitive camping sites on the banks of the Little Miami River, with two primitive camping cabins coming soon. Guests have access to 5 of our 11 acres of peaceful woods with walking trails to explore. Each site accommodates up to 6-8 guests, two leashed dogs, and three vehicles. Portable toilet facilities are available on-site, and we maintain a quiet, generator-free environment for authentic outdoor experiences. Our land is a prime location for fishing, tubing, swimming, and river activities, situated just minutes from Lebanon and Morrow.

Pack your essentials and escape to the Little Miami River Valley's best kept secret. Our off-grid cabin and tent campsite offers over an acre of space and is situated on a total 14 acres along the National and Scenic Little Miami River. The cabin is included in the site rental, but you are welcome to tent camp only if you prefer. New in 2026, the cabin will include a 6" memory foam camping pad. Additional bedding (pillows/blankets) can be provided as an add-on.
Once here, you'll park next to the farmhouse and take a 4 minute hike over the creek, through the meadow, and into the woods. *Driving to the site is an option if you have 4WD and the ground is not too wet. Exceptions for 2WD can be made if the weather forecast and ground conditions permit.
As you approach the cabin and campsite, the trail opens up to an acre of green space shaded by large Sycamore, Walnut, and other native trees. Take a dip in the river, enjoy people watching as canoeist pass, or take part with a canoe or kayak rental from a nearby business (within 3 miles). The Little Miami Trail is also less than a mile down the road so bring your bike! The composting outhouse is serviced between each stay, meaning it's emptied, sanitized, and like new for each new guest. *Depending on your group size, the host may need to service/empty the outhouse once daily. There are two established campfire locations and a picnic table is provided.
*This is a family residence. The hosts live onsite and although you will not see them from your site, you will likely hear kids/adults playing outside and possibly weekend tasks such as mowing/weed eating/etc. Other "noise pollution" may come from canoeists passing by or the gun/ATV riding club which is a 1/4 mile down the river. That said, overall it remains rather quiet and you should find your stay peaceful : )

A grassy parking area is provided near the road, however, ALL SITES ARE WALK-IN (with the exception of site #1).

These campsite are amazing! We reserved Eagles Nest for the weekend and it was perfect for a group. It was large with several nice flat areas that were big for larger size tents. The site is right along the river with easy access to the river banks to sit by the water or wade around a bit. Everything is well kept and there’s nice privacy between campsites. The owners are friendly and keep things really nice. There were two ports potties for the four sites and they were well maintained. We love this place and we’re already planning our next trip!

The Morgan’s are seriously the best hosts! They greeted us upon arrival and guided us back to our site. They delivered dry firewood for $8 a bundle and advised us on the weather. The site and porta-potties are immaculate and it’s a perfect little slice of heaven right alongside the river. We are so grateful they share their property with people who love nature and care for the land as they do. They even came out and checked on us in the morning. The trees on this property are amazing, and Mr. Morgan takes such great care of the land. We are blessed to have had this weekend experience with our family and will hold the memories near and dear for life!

Aimee’s place really was a hidden gem in southern Ohio. I would have never known how beautiful it was out there had I not stumbled upon her place. Site 2 was so secluded and we loved that also how peaceful it was there and being 15 minutes from paint creek state park was really nice too. Also her little pond was so cool to swim in, my wife, 6 year old and I absolutely had so much fun jumping in and swimming with the koi fish

I have looked for other spots to camp along the water in several states and nothing comes close to this property that Dirk and Lori have. They are very responsive, kind and helpful during our stay. The site is right on the Little Miami River, has a great fire pit with a grate, 2 picnic tables, ample space for tents and plenty of trees for hammocks. I absolutely loved camping at Dirk and Lori's Riverside Acres--Little Miami. The property is beautiful and the attentive gestures provided by the hosts were appreciated. When a thunderstorm was headed our way, Dirk made sure to let all that were there, know it was coming. I had already been watching the radar on my phone (great cell service at camp!) but for those that weren't aware, his weather update was helpful. I look forward to coming back here time and time again!

My children and I had a wonderful experience at DL's campsite. The authenticity of nature is truelall around you at the very peaceful and secluded environment around you. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the little Miami River was super relaxing and really cool! The variety of amenities DL provides are absolutely out of this world! I highly recommend giving this hidden gem a try on your next camping getaway trip. You wilk not be disappointed.

We had such a nice time on Glen’s property. The farm was beautiful, well manicured with a great view of the pond. The site is level and graveled with a nice table, chairs and fire pit provided. Electric is 50 amp and 110 but you’ll definitely need at least a 75ft extension cord. There is a spigot available for water but no bathroom, so plan accordingly. Glen is friendly, hospitable and offered us several eating suggestions in Yellow Springs. Trail Town Brewery and Sunrise Cafe were awesome! The space is private although the host has a cabin nearby but hidden by huge spruce trees. We only heard the neighbors once and it was no big deal. Glen has many cows on the farm and it was nice to see and hear them. Would highly recommend this site. We would definitely return!

Absolutely beautiful. I was a little intimidated because it was VERY natural and woodsy, but it was amazing once we settled in. It was private and right on the water. There are steps down to access the water and we were able to get a canoe down and back up. There is also a small sandy beachy area further down between the sites that was fun with the kids. It was absolutely whimsical and perfect for what we wanted. Would definitely return again!

Dirk and Lori are great host. Campgrounds are clean and well maintained. Our families had awesome time camping on the river this weekend. We will definitely be bringing our families back every summer .

This was a great site. Even though there are a few other campsites nearby it felt secluded. It's really nice having the river right there for a relaxing ambiance. I would come back again.

Amazing location, right on the river and so much to do in the area. DL also told us about some hiking opportunities on site that unfortunately we didn’t have time to fit in. This is our second time staying here. Great host!
