Our portico was constructed from 100 year old barn beams that were salvaged from West Virginia. This unique structure with 10 ft exterior walls and over 17 feet to the center dome was hand crafted by Blue Ridge Yurts in Floyd Virginia. Every space in this property has been custom built to create an unforgettable experience. This is the only 10 ft walled yurt in the region offering a spacious loft. Lay back and enjoy watching the clouds go by and seeing the rustling of the trees in the wind through our 5 foot dome. At night stare up at the stars as you fall asleep on your full sized queen beds with memory foam mattresses. The main floor offers a very spacious living area with in floor radiant heat system to keep you toasty warm in the winter. The space also includes a mini-split unit that offers additional heating as well as A/C in the summer months. A pull out couch is provided to accommodate any extra guest. The living area is open to the beautiful kitchen with custom made cabinets and rustic center island constructed out of old salvaged barn beams. The large marble island top provides ample space for food prep and dining. Our kitchen has all full sized appliances with large farm sink, full sized French door fridge and a convection oven. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics you would need to prepare simple dishes including cooking oil, spices, flour, sugar, basic cookware and baking utensils. A Keurig coffee machine and pods are provided as well as a drip machine with ground coffee. Our bathroom provides every convenience and luxury during your stay. A large 6 foot walk-in shower is spacious and inviting. Admire the custom built vanity also constructed from salvaged barn beams. A full sized washer and dryer are located in the nook of the bathroom and guests are welcome to use throughout their stay. Our main floor also includes the master bedroom complete with full sized queen bed with memory foam mattresses, Storage ottoman and TV. As you make your way out the back door you will find a little oasis awaiting. Our patio area provides privacy and the opportunity to relax in nature. Soak in the 6 person hot tub or gather around the fire pit in the evenings with friends and family. A 6 person dining set is a perfect place to enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee in the morning. Our little campground began as Bailey Wayne Bike Camp. In 2023 we learned that Wayne National Forest wanted to drop "Wayne" from its name, so we decided to rename our campground and campsites in memory of Raleigh and Blue, two wonderful dogs who we wish were still with us. This area was once a booming coal mining town in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The hollow was made up of hundreds of company homes, several mines, and other company buildings. As the mines died, the forest slowly took over. In the 1980s the National Forest began acquiring ownership. Today, we are just a stone's throw from the new Baileys Trail System. My wife and I have been biking for years; we've spent a lot of time camping and biking in OH, KY, WV, and NC. We primarily ride gravel routes on our tandem mountain bike around Athens and Washington Counties in Ohio. Our property is 3 acres, which offers enough room to open up a couple primitive campsites so we can share the peacefulness of the forest.

It is the beginning of a large ridge line, mostly wooded and hilly, with a 2-acre piece that has been lovingly prepared as a campsite for hipsters. Wonderful little camping area tucked away in the middle of nowhere, yet close to everything! Site had no grass so be prepared for mud! We actually stayed in a tent during severe flood warnings and the site never flooded or became unusable (minus while it was raining) so even in not so great weather it didn’t become chaotic. Hocking hills was very close and it was a quick drive to get to the state park and spend the day hiking :)

The hosts were extemely gracious, responsive and accomodating. We have quite a bit of equipment and they were super helpful with getting all of it to and from the site. The property is beautiful. The site is private and spacious. We have a very large tent and we had plenty of room to stretch out. The camp was quiet and relaxing. We highly reccomend the geocache map and trails. They take you all over the peoperty. The trails are well maintained and marked. We loved walking the property and seeing the sheep and wildlife. Of course, the highlight was meeting the dogs. Especially watching Scout chase butterflies.
