Directions were clear. Close to Athens. Very communicative with questions/messages. Helpful to have a headlamp or flashlight for night to find your way. Clean linens.
My wife and I returned from July 22–26, 2026, and once again had an absolutely wonderful experience. The pond-side A-frame cabin and surrounding campsite are truly special. The property is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by nature. The cabin offers the perfect balance of comfortable camping and an authentic outdoor experience, especially with the screened opening that lets you enjoy the fresh air and nighttime sounds without dealing with the bugs.
Jenny and Logan are exceptional hosts. They are friendly, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely want their guests to have a great stay. Their hospitality is one of the biggest reasons this place stands out. They are always available when needed and make you feel completely welcome from the moment you arrive.
The entire site is clean, organized, and thoughtfully arranged. It is obvious how much work and care they have put into the cabin, campsite, farm, and surrounding land. This is the kind of place where you can truly slow down, unwind, and enjoy time together.
We loved our stay and will absolutely return again. Jenny and Logan, you continue to impress us—y’all rock! We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable camping getaway.
Overall, we had a peaceful stay, but there were a few differences between what was advertised and what we experienced.
The property is quiet, private, and relaxing, and we really enjoyed how peaceful it was. The amount of complimentary firewood provided was generous and definitely appreciated. It was also thoughtful that the hosts offered us towels and trash bags to use as makeshift ponchos since it was raining, which made the walk back and forth to the car much more manageable.
That said, there were several things that didn’t match the listing. We did not receive the advertised welcome basket upon arrival, and we were never offered a menu or information about the farm-fresh breakfast or other meal options, so we ended up cooking all of our meals over the fire.
The pond also wasn’t quite what we expected. The water was very still, and there was quite a bit of old fishing line and hooks scattered around the area, which made it feel less inviting for swimming or fishing than described.
Since it was raining, the walk to the cabin was understandably muddy but still manageable. The bigger issue was that the directional signs to the cabin were down, so we had to guess which path to take.
Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet, secluded place to disconnect, this is a nice spot. However I think the experience would better match the listing if the advertised amenities like the welcome basket, meal information, maintained signage, and cleaner pond area were more consistently provided

Exceeded all expectations. The hosts are magnificent, the setting serene, and the surprises abound while strolling the grounds.
We had an amazing time at the Farm! Logan helped us haul our gear to the site with a little trailer on his mower, the outdoor shower was so cute and the outhouse was right across from our site. It's about a 5-6 minute walk from the parking area, so the help hauling was needed. The A-frame was perfect and we loved lifting the front, putting up the bug net (a must)
and sleeping in the open air! Logan even brought us an extra bundle of wood when I texted we were low and helped us motor out our gear in the morning. The site is SO peaceful, so many different birds. The 5 gallon jug of water, with pump, was perfect, outhouse has all you need and is pretty nice (as outhouses go lol). Super private (we were the only camper there on a Friday night). we had hiked cedar Falls/Ash Cave in Hocking Hill and then just about an hour drive to the site. My first camp trip taking my dog along and with a tieout he had roaming area of the whole site. Highly recommend, great hosts and site!

Jennifer and her husband are amazing hosts. The land is beautiful, and the campsite offers a private experience with lots of amenities and luxuries. I highly recommend any and all of their campsites, I know I will be returning in the future!

Ramp Camp!
Couldn't have asked for a better experience - from the location to the seclusion to the people. They were nothing but helpful and understanding, and were extremely flexible! Will definitely be back!

Pond Side Cabin
We loved our stay at the A-Frame. It was more secluded than expected which was nice. It is about 1/4 mile from where you park. Logan will help you haul your stuff in his Gator which was super helpful when we were leaving in the rain. We had a peaceful stay and explored Lake Hope State Park, dined at Pleasant Hill Winery, and enjoyed Jennifer's delicious homemade and locally sourced breakfast burritos.

The land was beautiful and well maintained. We stayed one night as a quick stop on a longer trip. Jennifer was very sweet and had the site prepped with water and fire wood for us. the bathroom was clean.
The pond was my favorite part.
Wonderful place for a weekend getaway with wife. Host communicated well and place was super awesome. Definitely want to book again soon.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay this past weekend at the Birdhouse Farm Cabin. We truly appreciated the peaceful, secluded setting it was the perfect quiet getaway. The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, and the host went above and beyond by providing plenty of fresh drinking water and campfire wood. We’re already looking forward to booking another stay soon!

Pond Side Cabin
Absolutely loved the little A frame cabin. So cute and cozy! There was a 5 gallon jug of water and bundles of wood (1 is included, more can be purchased!) waiting for us at camp. It was a short, but beautiful, hike to the cabin. We didn't use the outdoor shower but we did check it out - its heated! The outhouse was close to camp, that was nice. My husband loved fishing in the pond. My dog had a blast - lots of wildlife to watch and she was so curious about the goats 😂 we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!
We enjoyed our night staying at Ramp Camp! It’s a short hike to the site and a little further to the outhouse (you’ll have to walk uphill then back downhill). If you’re in a hurry to poop, no you’re not! We appreciated the outdoor shower to rinse away the day. Lots of farm animals to enjoy- goats, chickens, cats and dogs! Jennifer and Logan were very welcoming and friendly.
We loved the pond side cabin due to the privacy, beauty of the land and comfort of the adorable a-frame. During the peak heat of the day, the a-frame's pull-out hatch provided shade and easy-to-hang mosquito netting provided protection from insects.
The pond was a magical setting with a canoe and fishing gear available.
The trails were marked and mowed and really enjoyable to hike. We especially enjoyed the climb of the Pawpaw trail.
The outhouse was close-by. We did not use the shower but liked knowing it was there.
It rained the second morning and the hatch kept everything dry while allowing us to enjoy the rainfall from the comfort of bed.
It's a relatively easy hike to and from the campsite and it's quite picturesque past the farm and through the trails.
Highlights included the cutest and friendliest campsite cat and delicious breakfast burritos prepared by Jennifer and delivered right on time to our cabin.
We highly recommend this beautiful place for a getaway which is conveniently located near Strouds Run (which we visited for hiking) and Athens (which we visited for Whit's custard).
I highly recommend staying with Jennifer !! The Pond Side Cabin was absolutely beautiful and lovely. The hosts were very courteous and hospitable. The campsite itself was very private, and the versatility of being able to open/close the side of the cabin allowed for very fun and immersive nights. The food Jennifer cooked for us was professional grade and knocked out any expectations I could have had out of the park. Overall I highly recommend this campsite and I will be returning!

Pond Side Cabin
This campsite was beautiful! You can tell true love and care is put into their land. Jennifer gave us some delicious homemade pickles! Would definitely recommend to a friend and we will be back!
We had an incredible night camping here! He helped us get our cooler and bags back to the cabin, showed us the outdoor shower and outhouse which are both very nice, and showed us the basics of the campsite. The a frame is so cool!! The pond is lovely and we sat and watched bats eat bugs off the top of the water, and they have fishing gear and a canoe. There are some perfect hammock trees in the campsite, and a nice fire ring - it's a darn shame about the burn ban! They provided a 5 gallon water jug with a pump that was really handy too. We had a fun time playing games at the picnic table under the solar lights. It was a great experience! We definitely want to come back.
There's also an adorable cat but he's definitely a people cat - he will sit on you and cuddle you and sleep with you! We thought he was delightful but worth knowing about if you have an allergy as he won't be dissuaded!
The hosts were lovely and gave us a watermelon from the garden and some pickles and ramp salt. All humans and creatures were friendly! We felt very safe and comfortable.
Awesome Land, beautiful spot, and fantastic hosts.

Ramp Camp!
The land is so gorgeous and Jennifer was so helpful and accommodating.
5 Star all the way. The land was absolutely beautiful. Logan and Jennifer were more than welcoming and quickly gave us the layout of the land. 35 acres of pure nature. They have put a lot of work on their farm (Chickens, goats, garden, etc.). No exception to the A-Frame pond side cabin they built. We LOVED IT! Upon arrival and introductions, Logan assisted us in transporting the limited camp gear we brought along (The site has everything you need). Logan kept us supplied in water and maintained the composting toilet daily.
My wife and I are avid campers. Over the years, the tent and blow up mattress has made things difficult. The cabin has a screened veil option to basically sleep under the stars (without the bugs). Very clean or organized and easily accessible site. I use a cane and navigated the 7 minute or so walk to the site. Oh, they left us with 1/2 dozen farm fresh eggs and freshly canned pickles.
We wanted a bit more fire wood and it was onsite before we returned to the site. Just leave them a message. Wonderful job Logan and Jennifer, Ya'll Rock. We WILL be back. Oh, lastly, huge fishing lake packed with fish. I never did get a line in the water but you can see them. Next visit its time to fish a bit.
I cannot say enough. Try this cabin!

Enjoyed camping at Birdhouse Farm Camping. Site was private and there was plenty of space to explore. Logan was kind enough to haul our bags back to the cabin which was a short walk from our car. Hosts left a goodie bag with fresh eggs, soap, and some hemp salt and were available if needed.
We had a great time in the cabin! The site was beautiful and secluded. The stars were absolutely amazing! I can’t say enough about our hosts. They were so accommodating and helpful! There was a nice gift basket of farm fresh eggs, homemade jam and seasoning salt. There was a beautiful picnic table and amenities like a small charcoal bbq grill. We had everything we needed and more. There was even a 5 gallon jug of water that came in very handy. They got all our stuff to the campsite so we didn’t have to haul it all there. The pond was a short walk away and the toilet was nearby the cabin. There are some nice paths to walk on the property as well. We went to a local restaurant for breakfast and it was amazing as well as to Strouds run state park. We had a wonderful time and can’t recommend this site enough!

Ramp Camp!
Had a great time at ramp camp!
An awesome little get away site.
The hosts were extremely accommodating even in the midst of a family emergency.
There was a gift basket with fresh eggs, some seasoning and home made black raspberry jam.
It’s far enough away from everyone the you definitely feel secluded, but close enough to the hosts that they can be there in just a few minutes.
There are some nice walking paths and a serene pond.
I give it five out of five stars!
