This was our second stay at Tilden Hill Farm and I can't say a bad thing. We absolutely love it there. It's very peaceful, has beautiful views, and friendly staff. My son and his girlfriend had a great time fishing, they each got 3. The bike and hiking trails are groomed nicely. Depending on your site the cows will come watch you in the morning. I can't say enough good things. Tilden Hill Farms has a lot to offer check them out

Lonnie was very kind and helpful. I stayed only for a night just passing through this time but will return as Lonnie has put a lot of effort into making this sweet space very comfortable. The area has many bird watching locations as a major migratory corridor so bring your kayak and binoculars! Space has picnic table, chairs, fire pit, 30 amp electric and a service light if you want it. Heard a few cars from road and a distant train but nothing disturbing.

Weekend Trip to Stars and Sage

This one room cabin is gorgeous! It has a composting toilet right inside. The best part is the swinging bed and large windows with a lot of natural light. We loved the seclusion of the firepit and walking past the chickens, goats and rabbits! Good luck with your new baby, Betty & Bob!

Beautiful rural setting, perfectly maintained and mowed, our spot RV I was delightful and private, overlooking the pond. Hike /bike trails EPIC! Nearby grocery and great laundromat meant I was able to easily get those chores done too. Thank you Ken for sharing this amazing place!

Ken’s site was really beautiful! Unfortunately, we were there on a time with some pretty cold weather so we weren’t able to take full advantage of it. I would love to come back and explore it sometime when the weather cooperates. Really recommend this place. Great prices, great response time from Ken, great showers in the bathroomand a beautiful area to explore. Lots of privacy between sites and very easy to get in and around the whole campground.

I recently stayed at Tilden Hill Farms Campground in Vernon, NY, and had a fantastic experience! The campground is set on a beautiful 155-acre farm with lovely sites by the lake and plenty of activities. The hiking trails were fun and well-maintained, offering a great way to explore the area. The improvements they’ve made are evident, and the place is incredibly clean. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back!

Cabin in the woods

The cabin is located in a remote area of Bear Swamp State Forest. It is about 5 miles from the nearest paved road but has seasonal roads that take you to the cabin. There are many close attractions like Skaneateles Lake and Carpenters Falls. The Cabin doesn’t have electricity or water but we do have a generator available. We do not have a shower or bathroom but we have an outhouse. We do ask people to bring their own gas if you want to run the generator and woods to make a fire. I highly recommend 4x4 vehicles but I been there in a civic and a mini van.

The stream Sage creek runs right along the property. This property is also on the Oswego County Snowmobile trail. This offers a great place for snowmobiling guests to stay overnight if you are brave enough to camp in a NY winter. If you are staying during another season you can walk the snowmobile trail. We are also in a very popular area to the Amish. They are great neighbors and we are sure you will see them pass by regularly with their horse and buggy. The property is also next to a show horse farm that has two donkeys so be prepared to hear them also . Very entertaining. We are currently a new site and are doing construction on the land. Please be patient with us. We have one other listing on the land so there may be times you do see other guests. We have a home under construction on the property so we also may be there at times. This site gives you a quiet wooded area to camp for the night or two with a porta potty for luxury camping. This site allows you to have a quiet place to camp without a lot of people and kid free. Most campgrounds have children but Stars and Sage does not allow children. Please feel free to bring your own camping needs as we only provide a fire area. The site is approximately 19 feet by 39 feet in dimension. You will be close to Mexico village and about 20 minutes from the city of Oswego. Plenty of biking areas all around . Enjoy a hike in the trail or take a short trip to Mexico point to put your Canoe or kayaks in to enjoy Lake Ontario. Lake Ontario is well known for fishing. You may see deer, Fox, muskrat, etc. you may hear coyotes in the distance. A flash light and a hatchet and bug spray are definitely recommended to have on hand.

Lots of farmers markets and concerts in the summer. Tour Saranac brewery, visit the Munson Williams Art Museum, see a show at the Stanley Theatre. Plenty of amazing places to eat - just ask us! - Herkimer diamonds: About 20 minutes. Mine your own Herkimer diamonds, local rock formations unique to this region. - Syracuse: 1hr15 mins, Breweries, shopping mall, restaurants, NY State fair. - Skiing: Within 25 Mins of Woods Valley Ski Resort, 50 Minutes to McCauley Mountain Ski Resort, and 1.5hrs to Gore Mountain Ski Resort Other Things: We have two rescue dogs, Sadie and Blue, who live with us. They are both part German Shepherd, so they are protective. They will bark at you but are not aggressive. Let us know if you're not comfortable with dogs and we can make sure they are inside when you arrive. I am not able to accommodate RVs or trailers. I have a very long, skinny driveway with no way to turn around, and there is nowhere to to park something as large as a trailer. The camp site is not accessible by car. You'll have to park in the driveway and then bring your gear back to the site, which is about a 2 minute walk. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway. We do have a wagon if you need it to carry your gear. We have animals on the property, including roosters who start crowing at sun up. Plan on being up early :)
