Sweeping pastoral hillsides mixed with densely wooded private acres make our camps unique, each one offering a different experience. A developed network of our own marked trails for exploring, our private red slate swimming quarry with docks and seating, and catch release fishing at 2 ponds are a few things to enjoy here. Slate Valley Trails and Merck Forest are close by. Places to picnic, enjoy the sunset, and idle are a plenty. Our farm stand is stocked with seasonal produce, jams, eggs, and bagged ice. Spring water is available. Excellent locally burgers, steaks, chicken and more are available.

Our 75 acres is a wonderful, diverse mix of habitat, harmoniously integrated with our small farm. This land was the homestead of the very first non native settler of the area, John Wiley, in 1787. Before that, it was the land of the Mahican native Americans. They named it "valley of the butternut trees", or Wyomanock.
The Wyomanock Creek is the backbone of this little valley. Beaver have dammed the creek at several points to create ponds and other wetland features that support a diversity of wildlife including otter, moose and a myriad of birds, from osprey to herons. This sanctuary is host to many uncommon native plants and plant communities. We would love to share it with you!
Your host, Thom, invites you to property to explore 75 acres of meadows, woods and water. Choose one of several sites either in the woods or open areas. You are also free to use our outdoor solar shower or take a dip in the cold pond or artesian spring fed pool.
Our location is convenient to the Berkshire Mountains, state parks, hiking and other attractions, including Ramble Wild tree to tree adventures and Jiminy Peak. There are a few miles of rail trail access just down the road.

For generations, the majestic waterfall has been revered for its spectacular beauty. It’s considered a sacred site central to local land rematriation work with the Kanienkeha:ka.
Coursing between two outcroppings in a deep ravine, the waterfall crashes down over mossy rock shelves into emerald swimming holes and through dramatic clay beds. It’s one of those extraordinary spots on earth that make you feel like you’re in another world. The sites aren’t suitable for parties or loud groups.
It's about a 10 minute hike to the waterfall where you can spend the day swimming, exploring the clay beds and looking for fossils in the 280 million year old gorge. In the evening, make a campfire and fall asleep under the stars listening to the river below.
The hike is steep and appropriate footwear is required. All hiking is at your own risk. Although your path to the waterfall is private and the waterfall is on private property, there may be other guests or locals that access the waterfall further down the road. There is no glass or alcohol allowed at the falls.
Be aware that you may hear your camping neighbors in the woods. For this reason, we ask that you don’t play amplified music and keep noise down after 10pm to enjoy the sounds of frogs, crickets, owls, and night songs of the countryside
At the entrance to the campsites there is a barn community room with a charging station, cold water sink, fridge, coffee maker, cookware, and a port-a-potty. There are 5 gallon solar shower bags that you can use at your campsite. You are responsible for filling them and putting them in the sun to heat the water.
This is a leave no trace site. Take all your trash with you when you leave. Bring your own biodegradable soap for dishes and toilet paper for the port-a-potty!
Firewood is available onsite for $1 per log.
The Schoharie Valley is said to be the most fertile valley east of the Mississippi. It is still wild, unspoiled country and there are many local farms stands with fresh produce and organic meat close by.
Within a 5 miles radius is a general store, Scrumpy Ewe Cidery, Panther Creek Arts, Rooted Movement, the Sap Bush Country Store and Café, and Mustang Valley (a wild mustang sanctuary). Nearby hikes include Looking Glass Pond and Vroman's Nose, and others.

We had an absolute blast during our stay! The spot was secluded enough but just a short distance from our car and the animals. Our toddler couldn’t have had more fun saying hello to each of the animals every morning, which was such a fun addition to a typical camping trip. Nick was a gem, so helpful and kind and let us do our thing. We will definitely be back :)

We had an outstanding weekend staying at Heather’s awesome farm! We reserved the Hops site but changed to the Quarry site after arriving and seeing the other sites with Heather. I don’t think there’s a bad site on the property but The Quarry was excellent! It took some work but I was able to turn our 28 ft travel trailer around to leave without any real issue. The road to the site is gravel with two steep hills so if you have a sizable rig, you want a powerful truck and possibly 4wd. The quarry itself is incredible - tons of bright orange koi fish happy to eat the food provided on the dock, beautiful, refreshing water, tubes and kayaks provided, and a perfect “cliff” to jump from (maybe 15 ft?). Heather and her husband provide firewood at each site and definitely visit their store for some homemade goods. Exceptional hosts - friendly and happy to share their land and knowledge for us to enjoy as they do. A place and trip to take you back to camping trips of the 1980s when everyone was a friend and campers took care of each other.

Such a unique and fun place to stay. We loved the retro vibe of the tiny camper and the outdoor tub was such a cool touch. Sam was wonderful and such a kind host.

My wife and I had an amazing date night at Firefly Acres. We will definitely return to this property again. The views of the sunset, stars, and the moon were amazing to see during our stay. I would 100% recommend this property to anyone. We met Fay’s Father, Tim when we arrived. He is a very helpful man who kindly showed us around the property and assisted us with firewood and explained the use of the outdoor shower. Thank you for sharing your amazing property with us. Our stay at Wyomanock Farm was peaceful and charming. Although our RV site was located at the end of the parking lot, which offered less privacy than we would have preferred, the respectful and quiet comings and goings of other campers made it a non-issue. The beautifully maintained grounds provided a delightful opportunity to stroll, admire nature, and fully enjoy the serene surroundings. A special thanks goes to Thomas, who graciously accepted our last-minute reservation and remained responsive and welcoming throughout our visit. Overall, it was a relaxing experience.

This camp was AMAZING. I was able to snag site 4, with only 2.5 days notice. The photos dont do the camp justice. I thought I was going to be in someones back yard- but this is actually part of a lake side "camping village" so it was like a dozen rvs and 5 or 6 tent sites.
The lake was gorgeous. Paul also runs a continent store that has everything!
It was a great location, has free wifi, warm clean bathrooms, boat rentals, and more!

Weekend Trip to Towner's Country Paradise
We absolutely love coming here!! The scenery is breathtaking and there is so much for kids and families to do. If you stay here, taking a trip down to the waterfalls is a must!!!! We will definitely be returning year after year. 🥰😊

We had a wonderful stay at Angie's off-grid cabin. It was clean, cozy, and very peaceful. We loved waking up in the peaceful setting surrounding the cabin. It was refreshing to disconnect from screens and relax. Guests are free to use the shower facility, coffee maker, and hot tub, and Angie and her daughter brought a yummy breakfast right to our cabin in the morning. Would definitely recommend this cozy place!

We had a great time, we stayed in a beautiful spot and we felt we had plenty of privacy. There wasn’t a shower (the listing said there wouldn’t be a shower so that’s fine) but there was an outdoor spigot/showerhead that we could use to wash up so that was really good. Overall everything was good, the only tiny thing we weren’t super jazzed about was the farm dog barked a lot and throughout the night and woke us up several times. The host was wonderful and if you can tolerate barking dogs, then this is a 5 star location! Nick was a wonderful host!

We loved staying at number 10 with our tent! The campground looked a little cramped with a lot of huge RVs but in reality we had a lot of space and everyone was super friendly. The set up is more for RVs though with no station to wash out dishes for example. But the view and lake and fun stuff to do totally made up for it.

2 nights at Waterfall Sanctuary & Quiet Retreat
The wildflower cabin was clean and comfortable. The site was completely private and we only had neighbors the first night but barely heard them. The site had everything we needed. The falls were absolutely incredible! We hiked all the way up and wow, what a unique experience! I recommended to my family. Thank you Amy for hosting us! We will absolutely return.

Gorgeous land. So well maintained and serine. Zero litter, bunnies hopping everywhere and a great big blue heron fishing at the pond every morning. Many areas to explore including forest, wildflower meadows and beautiful views in every direction. Many very private comfy camp spots.

We stayed in the Starlight Cabin and it was incredible! The waterfall is such a beautiful place, the cabin is awesome (the bed is so comfortable), the stars were BEAUTIFUL, and Amy was a wonderful, super responsive host. If you are between a few places, trust me, pick this one!

3 nights at Wyomanock Farm
We had the most relaxing stay at Tom's beautiful farm. The campsite is very secluded and the sunset view from the deck is sublime.
The bed is very comfortable and there are many conveniences provided, such as the mini fridge, gas grill, plates, cutlery, etc.
Tom is a very gracious and accommodating host. We would highly recommend this site to anyone who wants a total getaway.
