We hope you enjoy Pooh's Corner as much as we enjoy having all of you great Hipcampers sharing our beautiful Fingerlakes Region with us.
Pooh's Corner lies in a rural area just 1.5 miles from Watkins Glen. (3315 County Road 28, Watkins Glen, NY 14891). We took great care to make sure each campsite is PRIVATE (parking on-site*) and the trails are easily navigable. Our 'Welcome Shed' is equipped with a compost toilet, local information, (newly added) Hot Water Station, first-aid kit, charging station, bug spray etc. and is located in a safe, well lit, open area on the property. Each site is equipped with a fire pit and comfortable seating with tables, chairs, and/or picnic tables and tripod grills. Firewood is available on a donation basis.
There are State Parks and places to hike one of the many gorges around beautiful Seneca Lake and surrounding area. Take a tour of the many wineries and breweries which our region is famous for. Enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, kayaking, and many historical sites to see. Our reviews tell it all. We know you'll love it here :)
*PLEASE NOTE: Our sites are custom made for TENT or CAR camping. Because we have "parking on-site", Large RVs, Campers (over 16'), and any 5th-wheel campers are very difficult to place since there are no easy ways to back in or turn around. We highly recommend "Havana Glen State Park" (same general area) for those types of camping units.

Towner's Country Paradise started out as a wild forest and pasture for cows in the 1940's, owned by Llewellyn Towner. In the 1960s, Llewellyn's love for aviation led him to construct a small airstrip and hangar, and then his son Terry began to plant Christmas Trees (no more cows) and clear much of the land. By the early 1970's our main and largest pond was built and since that time our fully functional cabin, several more fish ponds, roads, trails, running water and generated electricity have been added. Christmas Trees are still grown and harvested by Terry's son Scott Towner. Green rolling hills, deep valleys, a waterfall, ponds stocked with fish, a fully functional cabin, herds of deer, flocks of turkey and Canada Geese, & well-maintained roads and trails here in Addison NY. Sweeping pastoral hillsides mixed with densely wooded private acres make our camps unique, each one offering a different experience. A developed network of our own marked trails for exploring, our private red slate swimming quarry with docks and seating, and catch release fishing at 2 ponds are a few things to enjoy here. Slate Valley Trails and Merck Forest are close by. Places to picnic, enjoy the sunset, and idle are a plenty. Our farm stand is stocked with seasonal produce, jams, eggs, and bagged ice. Spring water is available. Excellent locally burgers, steaks, chicken and more are available as pre-order EXTRAS.

There's an excellent Farmers Market on Saturday's in Rock Hill from 10-1pm from June to September also. Come find us there!

Terrace Farm is a multi-generation farm on 160 wooded acres of Tremper Mountain located on the outskirts of the Hamlet of Phoenicia in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. Underhill Inn is a small homestead located in the Finger Lakes region tucked in the rolling hills near Dryden Lake. We have a small garden, a flock of sheep and chickens, hives of honeybees and countless wild foraging on our 36 acres of pasture and hiking trails. Take a walk down to Brockendock pond and cruise across the water in a canoe or paddleboat to find peepers, heron, toads and turtles. Drop a line in the water to catch trout, bass and sunnies. The chicken coop is always bustling and there are plenty of eggs to harvest each day. A morning hike on the trails usually kicks up the deer and wild turkeys and at night the barn owl will sing for you if you listen close. About the Property: Our unique property boasts quiet camping on a beautifully manicured MotoTrials Riding and Obstacle Play Course. 2025 marked our first year offering camping to the public, and we look forward to HipCampers joining us in our unique venue. All 4 camping sites are nestled into the Obstacle course. Trials riders and non-Trials Riders alike will find much to enjoy here. Campers unfamiliar with Trial are welcome to take advantage of a Lesson on one of our Rental Bikes, while the Obstacle Course is also super-fun on foot (for walks or runs), mountain bike, trials bicycle, or for playing with your RC toy! We have night lighting to turn on at your request, even if just to sit in the evening and enjoy the lights reflecting off the pond-We surely do! We are located on NY 38 but our traffic is not obnoxious (Log and Milk Trucks, Farm Tractors and Commuters). It is very peaceful here. Your camping can be as private, quiet and leisurely as you wish. The views and big sky are gorgeous in our corner of farm country. Our small pond (tho not suitable for fishing or swimming) provides entertainment w/ turtle sunbathing raft and lots of nature's visitors. Pets always welcome off-leash with your guidance. About the Trials Riding: Sundays are a practice day or Event day. We host 4 Mototrial Events each season (see below) and if spectating appeals, you can plan your trip to coincide. You're in for a treat if you've never seen these nimble motorcycles do their 'thing'... up, over, and around the obstacles. Events are busy and exciting, but no worries (!) trials bikes are not loud. Riders are friendly and considerate. If spectating not your thing- no worries. Non-event/non-practice days are quite laidback. If Trials riders come here for additional practice (or instruction) it's not loud or invasive, nor interferes with any camper training or play on the course. When riders are here (barring Events or Sunday Practice ), it's typically only 2-4 at once. Multiple activities co-exist nicely, as there is plenty of room for all. There are many days no one is on the course at all (!) and you may have it all to yourself or possibly with another camper. Hope to see you in our slice of heaven! Just off the NY Scenic Byway County Route 16, there is tons of space for larger groups. A New York favorite. Greet the morning sun from your tent as it rises above High Peak. Surrounded by the Indian Head Wilderness peaks, you'll enjoy the cool mountain air at night and stunning views all day long. Hike the trails and then dip in the creek when you get back. This campsite is equipped with a single Queen-sized cot with air mattress, woodstove, portable camp toilet, solar heated sun shower. Bring your own bedding/sleeping bags. Drive-up access requires SUV-type clearance for the creek crossings. For easier 2 wheel access check out my other 5-star secluded campsite- Schoharie Creekside Tent. Only a quick drive to Tannersville, Hunter, Windham, Palenville, Woodstock, Phoenicia, Catskill and Saugerties where you can explore the cute town, restaurants, and shops. The site is perched on the banks of the Roaring Kill Stream, perfect for swimming and fishing. There are also lots of flat areas to put additional tents. Great access to the Roaring Kill Trailhead and to the Devil's Path Hiking Trail. If you're looking for some water activities take a short drive to Colgate Lake. Site guidelines Do be careful driving on the dirt jeep track out to the camp. Don't miss swimming in the Roaring Kill Falls. Do leave the campsite just as you found it. "Don't feed the bears." Seriously, do keep a very clean camp. Do ask questions about local activities- swimming holes, hiking, etc. Please take all trash with you, leave no trace!

We have lots of very lovable goats that love interacting with people, 7 babies......plus pigs and chickens, and our homestead is deep in the woods.....full reimbursement i.e. free of charge.

We are nestled on a private road on top of a hill backed up to 2100 acres of New York Gaundry Hill State Forest. There's waterways with active Beaver ponds between our properties. We do have bear and a mountain lion up here.

We have three camp sites on a 200-acre parcel of secluded, rural farm land. We are a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and eggs are produced. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley!
When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones and smoked treats for your furry friends. Many of our items are well suited for campfire cooking. Keep in mind that all our products are frozen so be sure to plan for time to thaw. If you're not sure what that involves - we're here to help.
We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Learn more about us and the history of the farm at our website.
As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you.
Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths
If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices.
When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. It's a great place to view the night sky during a meteor shower.

the locals know our street because of the indigenous people and early Dutch settlers mixing with the slaves. Much history here, with the small town of stone houses, making Hurley a national historic destination.
This serene is secluded on a mountain surrounded by trees with seasonal views. The campsite is neighboring 105 acres of beautiful conservatory land available for hiking. No true trails are available, but you can be adventurous and hike further up the mountain, arriving to a clearing, providing you with a lovely mountainous view. From the mountain, you can hike to a waterfall or even hike across a lovely plain field surrounded by mountain ranges on both sides and crossing the creek over to Historic Stone houses in Hurley. Within a 10 minute drive check out some of the local restaurants like Alebrijes, Hickory BBQ & Smokehouse, and the Hurley Inn where the movie “Tootsie” was filmed!. Hurley Marbletown Trailhead and Rail trail parking are only a 6 minute drive away! The town of Kingston is about 15 minutes from our site where you will find Bluestone Wild Forest, antique shops, restaurants, other outdoor activities!
The nights are just spectacular as you look into the sky surrounded by a blanket of stars, able to see the many constellations looking like jewels on a black cloth. The sounds of nature and all of it's distinct calls including that of eagles, is truly an experience. And we cannot forget our other friendly neighbors, the wild turkeys and deer! We are very appreciative of this beauty and would love to share this sacred place with you.

We host NYS Police along with local police/sheriff deputies here through our organization Hearts in Hand Horsemanship LLC. Don't be surprised if you see a NYS trooper or police unit parked up in the field near the horses.
All fires must be completely out unless you are physically with your fire. We supply 5 gallons of water and more is available to drink, wash dishes and put your fire out. Please respect our rules. Fire safety is necessary to keep everything safe here for all of us. Thank you for understanding.
Here in the mountains we can experience very cold nights. We supply a small pile of firewood for a small fire at no charge. If you like, you can gather more dead wood (not live trees) in our forests. Winter is coming soon. Please bring lots of clothes and layers. Stay warm!
Smoking: We are primarily a non-smoking/vaping farm and appreciate you smoking/vaping in your vehicle not on our premises please.
Partying: Nope not us. Our farm is peaceful and quiet and so are our neighbors. Please party elsewhere and come here to relax in the blissful quiet of nature. Quiet music, just playing some Spotify tunes and acoustic musicians are welcome here. There's a great bar restaurant 5 minutes from us, "17 Cherry Plain Sq". Live music, great food and something like 40 beers on tap. Party there then chill out here with us.
Breakfast and the best beef this side of the Mississippi can be found at Gardners Cafe and Icecream Shop only 5 miles up 22 South from our place. You can enjoy a big fat omelet with homefries and bacon then grab frozen hamburg and steaks from Gardner's own local beef grown wild and free outside.
Cherry Plain Sanctuary Farm is adjacent to miles of public forest. Peace and solace can be found in these quiet mountains. In addition to amazing hiking, backpacking mountain biking, road biking right from your Hipcamp site, with kayaking nearby.
We are 10 minutes away from Cherry Plain State Park (which has a gorgeous lake and kid-friendly sandy beach), and even closer to the Taconic Crest Trail.
Our location is nestled between the Taconics of New York, the Green Mountains of Vermont, and the Berkshires of Massachusetts.
Come share our paradise, bring your outdoor adventurer gear (you will be glad you did) and we will share our favorite local destinations with you.
We ask that all hipcampers who are primary guests be 21 years of age or over. Children are welcome but we will not knowingly rent to anyone under 21 years of age.
There is a $50 additional charge for garbage left at our farm including cigarette butts (we are a no smoking farm!), broken glass, bottles, cans, plastics, containers, bags and other trash.
This is a pack in and pack out working farm not a party spot. Renting from us constitutes your reading of our rules attached to each property, your understanding and your agreement of our policies. Come unplug and enjoy an abundance of wildlife, on-site trails and stargazing. We are located in the Finger Lakes Region with all the wine you can taste! While here you should visit all the waterfall trails you can! The Watkins Glen Gorge Trail is our favorite! The Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) is walking distance from "The Hollow" and so is a natural spring. There are horseback riding and mixed use trails in the area. Bring or rent a kayak to paddle any of the several large nearby lakes! Plenty of fishing in the area too! There is a modern outhouse with shower, flushing toilet and sink with running water a reasonable walking distance from each site. A portable camp toilet is at your site due to the elevation. Every site has a fire ring and seating. Bundles of firewood are available for purchase and can be onsite prior to arrival if we know ahead of time.
Owned by military veterans who love the outdoors and live on site in off grid cabins. If you are looking for a place to unplug, this is the place for you!

We had a great stay at this campsite in New York. The farm was absolutely beautiful and made for a peaceful, relaxing setting. Our site had everything we could have asked for and was well set up for a comfortable stay. Heather, the host, was very nice, welcoming, and informative throughout our visit. She made sure we had everything we needed and shared helpful information about the property and area. We would definitely stay here again.

The whole property was extremely beautiful. Our site by the quarry was large and secluded among the slate piles and trees. Very peaceful and quiet, except for the many birds!! Heather was welcoming and set us up with an abundance of wood and spring water. We saw lots of wildlife, including a porcupine, on the site. Definitely hope to come back!!

Weekend Trip to Stoney Goat Homestead
Gary a great hoast. He cut up plenty of wood for the inside fireplace to keep us warm through the night and even left us some fresh eggs for breakfast. The bed was comfy and the yurt was more spacious then it looked in the photos.

Weekend Trip to Tryals Park Camp & Obstacle Course
Once I heard that our first warm day of spring was coming up, I knew I had to spend it at the little barn. As usual, Laurel and Mike were amazing during the booking process and were so welcoming. I stayed toasty warm in my hammock and got to watch a lightning storm over the hills through the open hayloft door, which was a highlight of all my years camping. Can't wait to come back!

everything you’ll ever need for a cozy stay outdoors. we chose this spot because of the tiny shelter it afforded during what was going to be below freezing temps. The kitchen space and bed set up was much appreciated and allowed us to focus enjoying the stay itself. The owners were super helpful getting us setup and providing a welcoming space. Bring layers and everything you need to keep warm in the winters - we even caught a light snow storm on our morning of departure! would come back again.

This is your on stop spot for motorcycle Trials. Mike and Laurel have made a welcoming spot on the hillside for RV's. Easy access to parking from the road. They provided us with a nice welcome packet. That had plenty of information about the area. Places to eat or see. Most people who camp here will be coming for riding. Mike offers lessons as well. But it would a nice spot for anyone looking for a getaway. Don't be put off by the riding. This is not a motocross track. You might be amazed at seeing riders tackling the obstacles and trials bikes are quiet. You might even want to try it yourself? Looking forward to a summer stay. Thanks.

Weekend Trip to Terrace Farm Phoenicia
We absolutely loved the Beechwood site!! It was private and well-maintained, complete with firewood, a clean outhouse with composting toilet, a really nice fire pit, and a container of non potable water. A few steps away from the hiking trail that led us to an amazing view at the lookout point, and there is a fresh spring at the base of the trail. Adele is a wonderful host, and her farm is truly beautiful. The 3 camp sites are spaced far apart in the woods behind the farm, and the Beechwood site in particular comfortably accommodates one large tent (there were two of us staying), and also has a picnic table with benches, and a wooden rocking chair by the fire. We had an awesome time, and we’ll will definitely be back!

One of the best maintained and run camping sites I’ve ever been to via HipCamp. Adele and her daughter are responsive, accommodating and hard working. Beechwood site is remote, well maintained and a level area for your tent. The site is difficult to find in the dark so make sure to get assistance on your first visit.
