Thank you Hipcamp and all of the beautiful people whom we have the pleasure of hosting at Pooh’s Corner! It’s a new year, a new season of camping, and another opportunity to camp with us.
We hope you enjoy Pooh's Corner as much as we enjoy having all of you great Hipcampers sharing our beautiful Fingerlakes Region with us.
Pooh's Corner lies in a rural area just 1.5 miles from Watkins Glen. (3315 County Road 28, Watkins Glen, NY 14891). We took great care to make sure each campsite is PRIVATE (parking on-site*) and the trails are easily navigable. Our 'Welcome Shed' is equipped with a compost toilet, local information, (newly added) Hot Water Station, first-aid kit, charging station, bug spray etc. and is located in a safe, well lit, open area on the property. Each site is equipped with a fire pit and comfortable seating with tables, chairs, and/or picnic tables and tripod grills. Firewood is available on a donation basis.
There are State Parks and places to hike one of the many gorges around beautiful Seneca Lake and surrounding area. Take a tour of the many wineries and breweries which our region is famous for. Enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, kayaking, and many historical sites to see. Our reviews tell it all. We know you'll love it here :)
*PLEASE NOTE: Our sites are custom made for TENT or CAR camping. Because we have "parking on-site", Large RVs, Campers (over 16'), and any 5th-wheel campers are very difficult to place since there are no easy ways to back in or turn around. We highly recommend "Havana Glen State Park" (same general area) for those types of camping units.

Towner's Country Paradise started out as a wild forest and pasture for cows in the 1940's, owned by Llewellyn Towner. In the 1960s, Llewellyn's love for aviation led him to construct a small airstrip and hangar, and then his son Terry began to plant Christmas Trees (no more cows) and clear much of the land. By the early 1970's our main and largest pond was built and since that time our fully functional cabin, several more fish ponds, roads, trails, running water and generated electricity have been added. Christmas Trees are still grown and harvested by Terry's son Scott Towner. Green rolling hills, deep valleys, a waterfall, ponds stocked with fish, a fully functional cabin, herds of deer, flocks of turkey and Canada Geese, & well-maintained roads and trails here in Addison NY. Terrace Farm is a multi-generation farm on 160 wooded acres of Tremper Mountain located on the outskirts of the Hamlet of Phoenicia in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. World class fly fishing on the Esopus Creek, private hiking trail to overlooks of the Esopus Valley and historic rock quarries as well as several public hiking trails including the Long Path are all within walking distance. Also located within walking distance is the Hamlet of Phoenicia. We have three sites available. Beechwood at Terrace Farm is the quietest and the most secluded. This will accommodate six guests. A developed network of our own marked trails for exploring, our private red slate swimming quarry with docks and seating, and catch release fishing at 2 ponds are a few things to enjoy here. Slate Valley Trails and Merck Forest are close by. Places to picnic, enjoy the sunset, and idle are a plenty. Our farm stand is stocked with seasonal produce, jams, eggs, and bagged ice. Spring water is available. Excellent locally burgers, steaks, chicken and more are available.

With three private sites deep in the Catskills, this special land has a variety of mature trees, open meadows with ferns and dogwood stands, remnants of an old apple orchard, trails across old rock walls and mountain streams through gently sloping topography, and abundant birds, frogs, newts, and other wildlife. Plus one of the best swimming ponds in all of the Catskills!
There are three sites: one tucked into a meadow in a forest clearing, another under a hemlock grove deeper in the woods, and a third reserved for Long Path thru-hikers who come down from the mountains for a break, which can also be overflow. All are off-grid and rustic but close enough to the house and parking area to have convenience, and far enough—and hidden out of view—to offer real privacy. (About a 4-minute walk from your shared toilet/supply/storage shed by driveway.) Tent area has cleared flat pads for two small tents. Location is far enough from things that you can walk a minute into the woods and feel lost to civilization, yet only two miles of paved road from downtown Windham and all that the cozy resort town has to offer.
Makes a great basecamp for exploring the rest of the Northern Catskills, or a hideaway to stay and get lost in. Hike miles of trails and old logging roads in the Elm Ridge Wild Forest, starting literally steps from your campsite. Swim in the large spring-fed pond, or just watch the colorful koi swim. Sit around the fire and reflect on the day’s adventures. Or just take in the wide-open views of distant mountains and starry skies.
Note: the only "Kitchen available" (Hipcamp's wording) is a grill over firepit. Also, toilet is a bucket-style dry composting toilet with urine diversion inside a protected shed. Camp site is a short hike along private trails from parking/shed area. Depending on weather/season, it's sometimes muddy.

We had such a great stay in the east camp. Paula and Bill really have thought of everything and made our stay stress free. There were other campers at the west site but the property is so big we never ran into them and it was like having the whole place to ourselves. Looking forward to coming back!

Ridgeline was an amazing site. We were there midweek and nobody was at the surrounding sites but it seems like there would have been plenty of privacy even if the neighboring sites were booked.
The sunset alone at ridgeline would make us happy to come back. Grateful for the shade structure at the site as we had both sunny/hot days and some rainstorms. Also, the water pressure was great at the outdoor shower (shared and located at the main house).
All in all, wonderful stay and we will be back!

The waterfall on the property is absolutely gorgeous but be warned the walk down is a log with metal steps attached to it. Also definitely recommend having at least an AWD vehicle for getting to the campsites. Sites 2 and 3 are visible to each other and site 1 is tucked a little away in the woods.

Absolutely amazing!
Matt and Sheryl were so communicative and welcoming right from booking the site, all the way to staying in touch prior to our arrival. They were there to show us to our site and where to find/how to use their wonderful amenities. The hot water is a game changer that we can’t wait to use on longer trips in the future! They were so informative about what to do in the area with our dog, and we were so glad that we took their advice.
The sites are all so spacious and feel very private. We loved the set up of The Rabbit Hole and felt like it was the perfect balance of size and cozy. The grounds are very well kept and decorated perfectly with lighting. We especially loved the wild flowers lining the sites and pathways; they add such a cheerful touch.
We can’t wait to come back to explore the area more and we will make Poohs Corner our regular spot 🙂

This was a great experience. The camp site is clean. It really great not having any wifi. I felt i had to do everything like my old way . Thank you for everything I will recommend you to all my friends.

The spot is beyond beautiful; Site 2 was a perfect layout. It has open field space for parking, cooking, putting up the dog line, and laying out. It had a huge, gorgeous trees for shade to pitch a tent under, and a beautiful little creek that ran by the entire site. Just a 5 minute walk down the path led to a lookout pavilion and creek that turned into a wading pool area.
Beyond the site itself, the hosts were wonderfully king and helpful. I’m already sad to be back home and can’t wait to book again in the future.

I recently stayed at Majestic Farm in New York and had a wonderful experience! The campsite is beautifully maintained with spacious sites and plenty of privacy. The scenery is stunning—lush fields, woodlands, and great opportunities to see wildlife. The staff were friendly and always available if we needed anything. Facilities were clean, and the overall vibe of the place was peaceful and relaxing. I would highly recommend Majestic Farm to anyone looking for a restful getaway surrounded by nature!

Well kept grounds with about 50 yards between sites. Great showers that are hot. Joanna brought us water everyday, which is really convenient.
