The well equipped, easy to get to campsite boasts, running water, electric, hot tub is out of order, shower house, screen house, picnic table, hammock and horseshoe pits. The essentials are at the site (cooler, camp stove, pots, utensils, lanterns, coffee pot, firewood and more). Interesting trails right outside your door. We added an outdoor hot tub to the site as well as a shower house. Bring your swimsuit! The shower house has a private side for the portable loo as well as a shower side with running water. You may not want to leave, but Onteora Lake in the Bluestone Wild Forest is great for hiking, swimming and boating. Our campsite is located only 5 minutes from Ashokan Reservoir where you can fish and boat. Bring your own camping gear or rent ours, the adventures are endless! Welcome to The Outlier Inn! The Outlier Inn features 12 unique accommodation options, available for individual nightly bookings with a two night minimum. There are 7 year-round, winterized accommodations with private indoor facilities and heat, and 5 seasonal accommodations with private outhouses and communal outdoor kitchens, showers (hot water!), and dining. While there are communal gathering spaces on the property, each accommodation has it’s own privacy and it’s own picnic table, charcoal grill and firepit. There is a spring-fed, swimmable pond on the property as well as a communal sauna, accessible by all guests. There is also a Rails-to-Trails hiking trail accessible from the property which leads to a park with a lake and children’s playground and to the neighboring hamlet of Mountaindale.

Deer and wildlife galore. Pitch your tent or bring your camper to our 150-acre working farm oasis. Beautiful views of the Adirondack Mountains. Easy drive to great hiking spots. Easy access in Essex for the ferry to Vermont. Lake Placid, high peaks 30 minutes. Or just relax at your campsite with a fire. There is a water spigot to the left of the big brown metal building with easy access with the driveway in front of the building.
