It was pretty cool, but we were ultimately disappointed because after we booked, we got a message saying that the hot tub was out of order. That’s kind of the whole reason we chose this one instead of the other ones we were looking at. In the future, there should probably be something indicating that the hot tub is out of order on the original post, so that people can know what they’re spending their money on before they spend it.

What a wonderful place in a wonderful town. The place was amazing. Everything you could ever need to have a great camping trip was there or could of easily be provided. Jay was a great host that responds right away for any of your needs. The location was not far away from any stores just in case you want to pick up different stuff, so you could pack lightly if you want. You're located a short ride away from many trails and lakes just in case you want to explore around. Also big plus that you could let your fur baby run free on the site, so highly recommended if you have a pet to bring along. One of the biggest treats that you don't find in many site is the ability to take a nice hot shower at any time. All in all I would highly recommend the place. The spot is well kept and when you go to the local areas the people where pretty friendly. Will most definitely look into staying there again on another date.

My family and I had a nice time at Stonecutter's. The site has everything you need. We arrived 1 hour earlier than check in time at 2pm, Jay said it was okay, but the site didn't feel prepped for us. The tent wasn't lived in recently, so was filled with spiders and nests of long-legs everywhere. There was no salt, oil, or any spices in the kitchen. Everything looked a little disheveled. After we cleaned and settled in, I felt better and it's a lovely, cozy, very private ground. The bed is super comfortable. Jay offered a cot for us too which I was thankful for, but we didn't end up using it.
I feel very badly and want to apologize that we didn't empty the toilet or take the trash out of the site the morning we checked out. The storm was coming in, it started raining and one of my kids wasn't feeling well. We rushed out and totally forgot to clean the BR and trash. My deepest apologies!!
Overall this is a great private site close to many activities and just a few minutes from downtown Woodstock. We also rented the rowboat, so fun!

Our camping got an upgrade! This glamp site was really thoughtfully put together: comfortable bed, outdoor *heated* shower, fully stocked cooking amenities with nothing overlooked. Jay was an attentive host and had the site well prepared for our arrival. We completely loved the area: we found a river beach about 15 minutes away, a pond around the corner to canoe in, and the surrounding towns of Woodstock and Kingston were a lot of fun to explore. Would definitely stay again!

We had the best time! The property was so gorgeous. The shower even had hot water which was an amazing plus! Jay was great host and checked in on us. The property had everything you could possibly need from kitchen, bathroom, to bedroom. We absolutely loved our stay and HIGHLY recommend!! 10/10

Stonecutters Edge was a cute little spot tucked into the woods. It definitely felt secluded. Campsite had cooking gear and a great amount of firewood. Bed was super cozy. There were a few things that probably could use a little maintenance - the string lights were only half working, shower head is not in great working condition and camp cooking gear storage in general was a little disheveled. Overall I would recommend this spot if you are looking for a cute little escape.

Jay's land and camp site was wonderful! We came for a late season outing and it delivered. He supplied a propane heater and we slept nice and cozy. The mess tent was well stocked and we had a great weekend!

Jay's campsite was excellent! Perfect combination of wooded, secluded camping with amenities. The location is not too far from main roads & town which was very convenient. We were lucky enough to have perfect fall weather which made it even better. I would absolutely return and recommend this campsite. Thank you Jay!

This was a really nice spot! It felt reasonably secluded and was quite cozy. We were only there for a short stay, but enjoyed the trails around the property. The bed in the canvas tent was so comfortable, I actually slept better than I have in a while. Would love to bring some more friends back for a longer stay sometime!

What a great property!! It fit all of our needs. I would go back 10/10. Of note - the tub is out of order. I didn’t realize other reviews mentioned this too. Jay was so nice and filled it up for us with cool water, which was actually way better considering it was 90 out!

It was such a lovely spot and well appointed. Close to everything and yet; it really did feel worlds away, while at camp. Jay was responsive, timely and informative. I definitely recommend checking it out and plan to stay here again myself. Enjoy, happy camping!!!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Jay's camp called Stonecutter's Ledge. The spot was very private and Jay has outfitted the camp pretty extensively to provide a nice "glamping" experience. Jay himself was easy to communicate with and friendly and welcoming when we met him in person. I highly recommend this place.

This is a GREAT campsite for people who do not have any or very little camping gear. I don’t generally use provided outhouses because they are usually dirty, smelly, full of spiders, and jut plain gross, but the outhouse at this site is very clean. Check to see if the hot tub is working BEFORE you book.

The site was lovely overall and even in the pouring rain, the provided sleeping tents remained dry. While it was outside the host’s control, the week before we arrived we were informed that the hot tub was out of service. It was too late for us to find something else as it was 7 days from when we were scheduled to arrive, so we decided to just go with it and make the best. When we arrived on site it turned out that the running water (thusly the hot shower) was also out of service due to a well problem but we were provided a large jug of water to use for drinking, dishwashing and handwashing. The host refunded us 40 dollars (twenty per night) for the lack of hot tub availability. We are experienced backcountry campers and have all our own supplies (we choose glamping with a hot tub and hot water this weekend because it is a luxury we never get) so had we known that the remaining available amenities were solely shelter and location for the price we would have cancelled and stayed at another location. The reviews were all very good and Jay apologized for the inconvenience after we arrived and did return to us $20/night. At one point when we messaged him to notify him that the water was not functional and ask for help, he did offer us the use of the “cottage shower” but he never replied to tell us where that was or how to access it, I’m assuming as he was busy working on the issues at hand. All messages were conducted through Hipcamp.

We loved camping at Jay’s! He was very accommodating. I recommend comparing what you want in the kitchen to what’s already there. We brought a toddler and an infant so it wasn’t your typical camping experience, but we felt like we could still enjoy being outdoors and comfortable in the tent. Our favorite part was cooking steaks over hot coals in the large fire pit.

This site was huge! It had everything and more! Our 2 nights there it ended up snowing and raining pretty much the whole time, but we made it work. The heaters provided were perfect, and the portable stove top still allowed us to cook under protection from the weather. The hot tub was a huge plus and there's even a hot shower and outhouse. Trails were everywhere but the weather wasnt ideal. Jay was a great host, came and checked in with us with any questions I had. Would love to stay again!

I came here with my husband and a friend to celebrate my birthday, and we had a wonderful time! This campsite is perfect for those who truly enjoy the outdoors. Jay was an amazing host—very communicative and attentive. He checked in on us and was always ready to assist when needed, which made our experience even better.
A couple of things to keep in mind if you're booking in the winter: if you're sleeping in a small tent, I highly recommend bringing a heating blanket or some extra warmth, as it can get quite chilly. The cold made it a bit uncomfortable, but we managed. Jay does provide an air mattress, but since inflated items tend to deflate in the cold, a pump wasn’t available.
Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone who loves the outdoors and enjoys a hands-on, rustic camping adventure!

The campsite was Amazing. Unfortunately, the area was frozen in snow and ice, so running water was not an option and was really cold, but our dog had a lot of fun, and there was a heater in the tent to cut the chill air. The host was very kind to check in

This site was incredible! It's fully stocked with everything you'd need for a successful camping weekend including kitchen and cooking supplies, chairs, tents, string lights, electric, and running water. The hot tub and hot shower were highlights after a long day of hiking in the Catskills. Jay was very helpful and responsive to any questions/needs we had. The site was perfectly located very close to Woodstock and hikes in the area. We would definitely stay again!

An absolutely beautiful and pleasant experience!
The tent's heater was perfect at keeping us warm. Definitely recommend getting propane to make it happen on colder months.
The whole site is spacious, the cover tents for eating and cooking was great.
A little tough to find the entry route the first night but easy once you do it once. Definitely recommend getting there during daylight.
Hiking in the area is easily accessible and range from easy to challenging!
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a half-glamping half-camping experience!

Jay’s site was great! It was far enough away from the hustle & bustle, but not far enough to feel too isolated— plus there’s electricity! Jay provided a camping stove, utensils, pots and pans, a sink with soap and sponges to wash dishes and even a Kureig! There was an outhouse, & a shower with hot water, too. Taking a hot shower after a nice hike on the Ashokan Rail Trail (less than 10 mins away) felt so nice. Our sleeping arrangements were: one couple in the canvas tent (on the wooden platform) with a queen bed, one couple in a tent with a queen air mattress that Jay also provided, and then the third couple brought their own tent. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not heating up enough while we were there, but Jay let us know ahead of time. He provided a decent amount of fire wood, but we had to buy more because it was so cold at night that we ripped through most of it the first night. Jay was very responsive before and during our stay. He came to bring us more wood and we had a nice chat. Directions were detailed, easy to find the site. There were some small lights placed around which was nice to have at night. The screen surrounding the picnic table and cooking area were also very nice touches!

I loved camping here. Lots of space and beautiful surroundings of trees in a private little getaway. The hot tub was lovely to warm me and my partner up on the cold october evening. and having. bed to sleep in was also very nice. The shower was nice and hot as well. Highly reccomend!!
