Just minutes from I-87 and the Lake George Region, our A Frame site offers a 120 square foot authentic A-Frame cabin with an open Adirondack Lean-to approach. This 1-4 person A frame comes with 2 sleeping cots each with quilted pads, 2 hammocks with hanging space inside or out and plenty of space to pitch a tent all around, tent included. Down by the stream you'll find a fire ring with a cooking grill and outdoor seating. Inside the A frame you're provided with authentic oil lanterns and flashlights, gas cook stove, kitchen ware, food storage cooler and small table and chairs. 14 gallons of potable water is provided with a nearby stream for additional supplies. There is a small corner loo inside the A frame with a flushing RV type toilet and also a comfortable Adirondack outhouse with an ecological waste removing system. Although the A frame is unheated, there is a small propane space heater to take off the chill of a cool Adirondack evening. This 5-acre quiet paradise is surrounded by on site walking trails where the only sounds are the owls and an occasional airplane. Camp TedRock is close to many popular Adirondack adventures including nearby Crane Mountain, spectacular Garnet Lake, The Hudson River and many more. Top quality kayak packages are available upon request at an additional charge. Our son recently vacationed at some great glamping sites around the country and had a vision of creating one on our property.   We are excited to share the experience of what camping in this historic region of Adirondack's is all about.Black Hole & Dunkley Falls campsite is located on an 80-acre old Adirondack farm. The Mill Creek runs along with this property, which features access to the scenic Dunkley Falls & The Black Hole — a cavernous geological anomaly. This famous swimming spot is a perfect place to test your nerve with a backflip off its 20 ft cliffs or just take a leisurely swim in the naturally formed glacier pool. Like to fish? The Mill Creek is also stocked annually with over 3000 w/ brown & rainbow trout. All of this is just a short walk from our property. Onsite: Canvas Wall Tent (16ft X 14ft ) and Outhouse. In addition to the Canvas Wall Tent, we have a canvas bell tent for rent from larger groups. You can reserve this by adding it on as an extra when checking out with us here at Hipcamp.

Our property is located in Wakonda Family Campground. Our site is B15 and is located in a wooded area where you can have a tent or small trailer. The campsite has water and electric hook-up and fire wood with an outdoor fire pit. The campground has two private beaches for swimming. That same pond is open to fishing and paddle boating. There are bath houses throughout the campground and the closest one to the camp site is a 1 minute walk. The bath houses include 1 shower, two sinks, and 3 toilet stalls all are which are very clean and maintained very well by the campground. The campground also has a playground, basketball court, pickleball/tennis court, sand volleyball court, fenced-in dog park, and camp store with souvenirs. Nearby Activities include: - Town of Lake George (25 mins) - Paradox Brewery (30 mins) - Xtreme Adirondack Zip Lining (20 mins) - Town of Schroon Lake (15 mins) - Town of Lake Placid/Whiteface Mountain (1 hr.) with plenty of hiking trails - Plenty of outstanding nearby restaurants!

You will see Deer, Chipmunks, Grouse, Squirrels and Maybe even a bear.The nearest neighbors are about 1 mile away and rarely make much noise. Folks around here sometimes run machinery, ride ATVs or target shoot.We are located well off of a dead end road, in the South Central Adirondacks, 30 minutes North of Lake George and 1 1/2 hours South of Lake Placid. This is a less intensely utilized area of the 6.3 million acre Adirondack State Park. There are many lakes and hiking trails nearby. Crane Mountain is close by and one of the best hikes in the region. Garnet Lake is our Favorite and Only 15 minutes away. 13th Lake is also wonderful about 25 minutes. Short Hikes close by include Kibby Pond, Cod Pond, Sacandaga Gorge, Siamese Ponds Wilderness, 11th Mountain, Rabbit Pond. There are literally hundreds of hiking trails in the area. Bridgeview Harbour Marina is a family owned and operated full service marina on the Adirondack shore of Lake Champlain Established in 2020 the Marina provides seasonal and overnight slips and moorings to boaters, fisherman, and lake-goers in addition to camping and an on-site cafe. Marina services are available May thru October each year, with other events and services available throughout the year. The marina is set on 33 acres along Lake Champlain and hosts ~4150 feet of lake-frontage. Prior to becoming a marina in 1989, the property was home to a very large Iron Foundry, rail yard, and barge-loading operation known as Cedar Point. Cedar point, part of the larger Witherbee-Sherman Mining Company, operated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries smelting iron ore to be shipped throughout the world via the Lake Champlain Canal and Hudson River, and is credited with providing iron to some of America's leading projects at the time. Some remains of the sites industrious past can be observed throughout the property. We have a outdoor shower and a porta potty currently for the restroom. You will have access to a water spigot and cabins do have a 20 amp service each. We are about 10 minutes to Lake Geroge, Bolton Landing. If you bring tubes, you can go tubing right from our property (about a 4 hour trip to bridge) Nice and easy float! We are also right down the road from Adirondack Extreme ropes course. No shortage of things to do in our area! Come check us out!
