You will see Deer, Chipmunks, Grouse, Squirrels and Maybe even a bear.The nearest neighbors are about 1 mile away and rarely make much noise. Folks around here sometimes run machinery, ride ATVs or target shoot.We are located well off of a dead end road, in the South Central Adirondacks, 30 minutes North of Lake George and 1 1/2 hours South of Lake Placid. This is a less intensely utilized area of the 6.3 million acre Adirondack State Park. There are many lakes and hiking trails nearby. Crane Mountain is close by and one of the best hikes in the region. Garnet Lake is our Favorite and Only 15 minutes away. 13th Lake is also wonderful about 25 minutes. Short Hikes close by include Kibby Pond, Cod Pond, Sacandaga Gorge, Siamese Ponds Wilderness, 11th Mountain, Rabbit Pond. There are literally hundreds of hiking trails in the area. The town of North Creek, 10 miles away, has a small supermarket, Excellent Bakery, Great Sandwich Shops, a few restaurants, a Hardware, Liquor store, Pharmacy, Bank, Laundry, Convenience stores, Gun Shop, Antique shops and a few other shops, plus 7 restaurants. Your Host Scott is a chef and foodie ask about dining opportunities in the area. There are a number of very good restaurants in the area. Due to Covid-19, still many places have limited Hours and a few are only doing takeout a few nights a week. Some are open for dining in. This is changing weekly, so please ask.
