Weaver Acres

We absolutely loved our stay at Weaver Acres, Site #1 – Forest View! 🌲 The site was peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful Adirondack scenery. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors while still being close to Tupper Lake. Great location for hiking, biking and paddling. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful camping spot!

We had forest sites 1 and 2. The area was quiet and relaxing. Cara was responsive to all my questions in a timely manner. If our travels bring us back to the area, we will definitely stay here again. It was great having FHU.

Great spot!

This was a great spot! We arrived in the dark and it was still very easy to find. The site was just off the road, but felt set apart. It was a huge space! We unfortunately did not get to spend a lot of time there but it was a great place to come back to and relax after a long day out and about. The hook-ups were MUCH appreciated, and the price was very reasonable. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice spot, big sites. Our site backed up to the river so that was nice. Liw road noise. A regular campground was just about 100 yards away that had bathrooms and hot showers that we were told we could use and someone selling firewood very close. Also close the the trolls at the Wild Center which we had come to see

Great location!!

The site is in an open field next to a small river. You share the field with another site and you share hook ups (there's two of everything). The electric box is 50amp. There is a regular outlet too. So if you have a 30amp rig you will need an adapter for either of those. If you have long enough lines you can distance yourself a bit from the other site. The site is big and the fire pit is by the river. So plenty of space for kids to run around. It was a bit hard to figure out where our site was on arrival but the host was responsive. It's the one closest to the road. There are only 3 sites and you can see all of them. There is a campground near by and everyone is packed in like sardines with no privacy. So this Hip Camp is a good option compared. It's in a really great location close to everything you want to do. We only spent our evenings at the site and it was really nice and quiet. The Wild Center was 10 min away. Restaurants and the little town is 3 minutes by car. We highly recommend Roscoes New York Style pizza! Yum! We would definitely stay here again if we're male the trip again.

Late summer stay

Had a great time staying here. Wonderful location close to everything we wanted to see. Only downfalls of this site were it was a bit muddy. Could use better drainage or more dirt or rocks added to site. There was no where to get rid of trash on the property either but we just got rid of it in town when we went out. Lastly, the man at the campground store down the street said they were not affiliated with this property and people should not be using their showers etc. if they are not staying in his campground. We did not need to use them but I was under the impression it must have been the same owners. Would recommend staying here for location and privacy though. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!!

Weaver Acres

Tupper Lake is a beautiful area with so many wonderful outdoor activities! We stayed 4 nights Friday~Monday. There are actually 3 campsites at Weaver Acres. When we arrived, there was a nice couple from Vermont setup in the camping area above where we ended up staying. We setup in the area closest to the road ~ designated markers would be helpful. Electric, water and sewer was available. We were pleasantly surprised to have a picnic table and fire pit over looking the stream that run in front of campsite. There was no trash bin, although evidence that there had been one by the back gate. Also, the showers noted are NOT for public use ~ they are specifically for folks staying at the campgrounds with locking keypads to gain access. The second and third night, three families with littles tent camped next to us ~ they had a ball ~ sharing picked wild berries from the property, singing, playing, enjoying nature. Was wonderful to see kids having SO much fun outdoors. We hiked, biked the ADK rail trail, strolled for trolls at Wild Center, explored surrounding Saranac Lake and enjoyed craft brews from Raquette River and Blue Line brewing. Traveled with our 8 year old rescue pup ~ area is very 🐾 friendly. Overall a great long weekend!

The sites are large, clean and the public beach is a short walk away. If your troll hunting at The Wild Center, it's just a few miles away. Cara was responsive to any questions. Nice place yo stay.

A Great Time!

My family of 6 stayed here for 2 nights in a tent and we had a wonderful time! The campsite is spacious and having potable water there was a great plus. The beach (with bathroom stalls) is a VERY short walk from the campsite if you don’t want to deal with bringing your own outhouse (not sure if the beach bathrooms get locked up at night though). There are multiple firewood stations a short walk away from camp to grab a nice big bag of wood for cooking and fires. Our kids range from ages 10 months to 7 years old and they had a great time as well - Lots of space to run and play. Stargazing was absolutely breathtaking. Insects were manageable with some bug spray. We would definitely return for another stay.

Pick up the trash!

The camp was fine! Far enough from other campers, water and power worked. It had facilities to dump waste water. However, looks like the trash dumpster had not been attended to for months, and was overflowing with trash and animals were into it and strewing it around. We went by the nearby public campground and were informed we were not welcome to use their showers.

Perfect Site

Our stay was absolutely lovely! Our site was perfect, and even though we were in close proximity to the other campers, everyone was respectful. Any issues we had were resolved quickly and in a timely manner, which we really appreciated. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do in Tupper Lake. I would definitely recommend staying here and would absolutely stay again if we’re back in the area. Thank you, Cara.

Booked this last min, first time using Hipcamp and it was great! Easy to use clear directions to the camp. This spot was wonderful, very quiet and spacious. Saw deer out our window every morning the road was quiet. Yet we were still a short drive into town for anything we needed. Lots of great hiking a paddling close by. Hopefully we will be back to stay again!

We found the site very spacious and quiet. There is a shared electrical and water unit so had someone else come we would have been sharing those with our RVs pretty close together. We had the site entirely to ourselves. It is close to everything nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

Our weekend at Camp

Cara was very accommodating when someone with a RV was in our spot. The people who were there took our site by mistake. We communicated with Cara who got us situated in another site with water & electricity which we requested. We were able to stay in the other camp spot for both nights. Cara was very receptive to our needs. The camp site was clean. We had a very nice visit there & we will definitely be back. Thank you Cara!

Love Tupper lake

Great private full hookup place to camp. Wouldn't camp there unless you know who's at the other 2 campsites since 2 of them are within a foot of each other. This is why we have 3 couples. Take all 3 sites. This is our 2nd year. And enjoy the location for our brewery hopping, relaxing fire long weekend.

Not easy to find but a good time

The directions to get to this location were severely confusing. We tried two different roads to get there and the directions she posts make no sense unfortunately. We had to stop at someone’s house and ask them if they knew where we could go and they helped thankfully. Those directions were super clear. The landscaping was pretty poorly done. The grass was up to my shins so my one year old walking through the grass was basically up to her chest. Other than that it was a quiet private place and we felt very safe there. All of the amenities worked well and we would stay there again, now that we know where we’re going but we would hope for better landscaping.

Would recommend if you’re looking for a simple quiet stop over with hook ups and more room and flexibility than your average campsite - close to an area of natural beauty. Would recommend! This campsite was great! during the busy time of year, I can see it being nice because its slightly down the street from the main little wolf campground. So you are a bit removed from the main area but still within walking distance to all of its amenities! I was there when the main camp was closed so the beach was very nice and quiet! The fire pit was also a very nice touch!

We arrived late and left early so didn't get to enjoy everything the site offered, but were pleased with our spot and would happily come back another time to explore more. We appreciated the privacy of our spot and the fact that there were hookups if we wanted them. The place is a bit hard to find at night (Google Maps and Apple Maps take you to different places), so recommend arriving while you still have some light.
