For over 60 years, our family has spent summers on this 80‑acre Adirondack farm, and now we’re sharing it with guests. Rented as one private camp (no shared sites), Black Hole & Dunkley Falls Glamping is ideal for couples and families who want real Adirondack nature with the comfort of fully set‑up canvas tents—no gear required. The camp sits on a secluded corner of our property near Mill Creek, just minutes from the famous Black Hole and Dunkley Falls swimming area. The deep, glacier‑carved pool and rock walls make it a classic local spot to cool off on hot summer days. The swimming hole is publicly accessible nearby (not on our land), so you get easy access without day‑use crowds at the campsite. Cliff jumping is at your own risk; children must be supervised at all times. Your booking includes both canvas wall tents as a single, private site: Two 16' x 14' canvas wall tents, fully set up on arrival Comfortable beds with mattresses and linens Simple furnishings: chairs, tables, and places to relax inside and out Fire pit and outdoor cooking area with basic cooking gear Camp lighting plus a portable electric generator Potable water on‑site with refills at our nearby cabin Outhouse with shower stall and 5‑gallon solar shower bags For larger groups (up to a maximum of 8 guests), you can add our canvas bell tent as an extra when booking. You can drive right up to the site, which makes arrival and unloading easy for families and anyone who doesn’t want to haul gear. From camp, you can enjoy: Mill Creek fishing (stocked annually with brown and rainbow trout) Woods walks and nearby hiking Whitewater rafting on the Hudson River Gorge (Class III–IV) with local outfitters Day trips to North Creek, Gore Mountain, and Lake George (about 20 miles away) We personally greet guests on arrival, give a quick tour, show you how to use the showers and where to refill water, and share local tips. After that, you’ll have a quiet, private camp in the woods to yourselves. Cell service is limited; AT&T tends to work best. There is no Wi‑Fi at the tents, but you can briefly access Wi‑Fi at our cabin if needed. This is bear country: all food and trash must be stored securely, and all garbage must be packed out. Our family of six had the most amazing time camping at the Black Hole and Dunkley Falls campsite. The tents and accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and far exceeded our expectations. The Fords went above and beyond to make our stay special—bringing us warm water for showers and even surprising me with cupcakes for my birthday. They truly think of everything, making it a completely carefree glamping experience. We loved exploring Dunkley Falls and jumping into the Black Hole, both just a short walk from camp. We also spent a day whitewater rafting and tackling the Adirondack Extreme Adventure Park—there’s so much to do in the area! We can’t wait to come

Amazing! 100% recommend. My son and I went white water rafting nearby and found this amazing site for two nights of camping. Absolutely everything has been thought of and it is clear the owners have invested significantly in making this an idyllic spot. The kitchen area is fully stocked and the tents are extremely spacious. Being able to drive or walk down the road to the Black Hole was a highlight. The owners were kind and hospitable and I would recommend this to anyone. Perfect location for family or friends gathering.

Everything you need is truly provided. Sue and Jim were great hosts making sure we stayed comfortable. Our two dogs loved running around the property. Sleeping in a canvas tent with a real mattress (king size) was awesome for my pregnant (3rd trimester) wife!

Sue was an amazing host. Site was private and clean. Very well stocked. Covered picnic table next to the pre-set and stocked kitchen was amazing. Short drive to the waterfall down the street. The Firepit at night was very relaxing. The site has everything you need. Would highly recommend this site and plan to revisit in the future. Thank you Sue!

This place is a great! Anyone looking to enjoy the Adirondack wilderness while still having some of the comforts of home should check it out. The camp is well maintained and has everything you need. Susan is super helpful and makes sure you have lots of water (warm and cold) and firewood. It is super close to the swimming hole and lots of other fun activities. Our group had a great time - thanks for having us!

Sue’s glamp site was beautiful! Resort- like. She had everything you could possibly need, including Jackeries for charging phones and plugging in. We played it safe and brought everything with us, but needed almost none of it except for food. everything was spotless! she even had a station for doing dishes. Cooking supplies were a huge bonus. The size of the site was nice for parking and spreading out. The black hole swimming spot was awesome and a short walk from the site. We saw a weasel, which was fun. We thought it was a ferret. We only stayed two days, but would definitely go back! I don’t know how we will camp again. You can’t beat this experience! We loved the privacy because we have an intense dog. She loved camping too! There is plenty of outdoor activities in the area like tubing and white water rafting. Next time! Thanks, Sue and Ken!

Thank you Susan for being such a gracious host! Vinny and I had everything we needed during our 4 day stay (and we so appreciated the daily refills of hot water for showers 😆). The campsite was everything we wanted it to be and the tent was a dream! It was comfortable and made our stay so relaxing. It was a rainy weekend but the games provided kept us entertained. Sue & her husband were amazing hosts. The property was beautiful, well kept & in close proximity to nearby activities. We even were able to see a little bit of the northern lights, the sky was so clear on our last night. The dogs had the best time running freely. Would definitely go back

We were so sad to leave our home away from home this morning. We booked a 2 night stay and although our tribe was small, this glamping site blew us away! Despite a drought, this weekend was the perfect getaway to spend outdoors in the nearby hiking trails and waterways. The beauty of the area exemplified how important it is to take care of our waterways and nature. Lake George is close by and Dunkley Falls provided the best rock scrambling experience. Revolution Rail and Ok Slip Falls was awesome to see as well. Although, we preplanned seeing these activities, we wished we had looked at the brochure sooner! Sue and Jim really set the bar high for glamping. The outdoor shower was a different experience and dining area truly made for a comfortable camping experience. We truly appreciated the shower capability and an extra water bag was provided without us asking for it! Everything, including the art on the brochure folders was tastefully done and spoke volumes of the thought put into this camping site. We cannot wait to come back again for another experience!

We absolutely loved Susan's site. We do a good bit of camping, and this was by far the most comfortable, well-equipped site we've ever stayed at. The location is great - very private, beautiful, and close to great features like the Black Hole for swimming (family loved the cliff jumping). The site itself is incredible. The tents are clean and homey, the beds comfortable, and there is lighting hung everywhere. We took full advantage of the hammock, the outdoor swing, and the screened in picnic area. What was really amazing was how well equipped the site was. You could literally pack clothes and food and go - no prep or camping gear packing needed (which is what I'll do next time). The kitchen area had everything - stoves, gas, pots, pans, utensils, grill, coffee pot, etc. There were solar lights lighting paths at night, and many lanterns (hanging inside the tent for interior light and portable ones to move around with) were provided. The firewood was dry and burned beautifully in the firepit. The outhouse was the cleanest I've seen, and the outdoor shower (with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap provided) was great. There was cold potable water for drinking, and warm water provided for dishwashing (along with basins, sponges, soap, etc.). Literally everything you could want was there. All you have to do is enjoy the fire and the stars. We will definitely be returning. Great site.

Unique, Fun & Special!

What a great place to celebrate our 40th Anniversary! 💕 It was special from the moment we arrived! Jim sent us up to the site where Sue was ready to greet us. She showed us around, and everything we might need was already there waiting for us! Sue and her family have really thought of everything! It was expected to be a chilly night so Sue brought us up a portable heater with extra tanks just in case we got too cold. She explained how to use it and all we had to do was pay for the tanks if we used it. We didn’t use it, but I was sure happy it was there just in case! 😉. Don’t miss out on a great glamping location! Truly special, you only have to show up and enjoy yourselves! And we did!

Great campsite has lots of room for games and running around. Plus the separate place for eating and everything was provided for!! The pots/pans/ utensils, toilet paper, blankets, pillows, even the bug spray was provided!! The was 9 adults and a baby in our group, there was plenty of room and very private!! We all had a great time

This is a really nice glamping location! The extra effort of the shower set up, cot arrangement, coal and firewood didn’t go unnoticed and made the stay even more enjoyable! If you are new to camping or just want to make things a little easier on yourself this is a great site.

Our stay at Black Hole/Dunkley Falls was awesome! The tent is very spacious and all of the “cozy cabin” touches make you feel right at home. The site comes with a fire pit, outdoor shower, outhouse, dining area, grill and more. Everything is extremely clean and orderly. Susan gave us a little tour of the place on our first day and we were amazing at all of the amenities! She even has a binder of nearby attractions if you want to just book the place and figure out your plans spontaneously. During the day, I recommend you head over to the Black Hole for some swimming or hike up Crane Mountain- some great views and challenging hike! End your day around the fire with some smores and looking at the stars at night- they are AMAZING. If you are willing to do a little driving, you aren’t far from Lake George area or an hour north to the Adirondacks high peaks. Definitely check out this hidden gem of the adirondacks area! We loved it!
