What a great space! Spectacular views! My
boyfriend and I were tent camping with our two dogs- one of which is pretty reactive and why we avoid regular campgrounds. Although Kathy and Tim do have a dog it not once wandered up into our area, which was not as far away as I would’ve liked… that being said I never heard anything from their house. Except some of the animals, which was perfectly fine! They’re certainly no road noise and it was as if I had the entire area to myself.
The amenities were very thoughtful. Brian, my boyfriend was amazed at how well the wood was stacked and the availability of different sizes and how dry it was for starting fires! A beautiful place to start the fire with metal grates that are adjustable, picnic table with tablecloth! The outhouse is absolutely wonderful. I’ve camped many times and not generally use the outhouses. This one is different! Five star indeed! Another thing I’ve never experienced is a solar shower… Turned out to be quite possibly my favorite part of the experience! There is something very freeing about showering outside in the wilderness. I even walked back to the tent area air drying, and it just felt glorious!
All in all, it was a great experience. Cathy and Tim are fantastic hosts! Of course we did get the free eggs which were delicious. Tim also helped us find some places to dip into some water as it was over 90° that day. Wonderful people. Feel special that they allow us to enjoy their land. I’m a hip camper forever!

We chose this site for a few reasons, with the views being at the top of the list — and they absolutely did not disappoint! We also loved that it was a single, private site where our two pups could run free. We don’t have much of a yard at home, so it was so nice to see them having so much fun.
Kathy and Tim were wonderful hosts. They greeted us when we arrived and even gifted us a dozen farm-fresh eggs, which were delicious! The site itself had plenty of space and was very well set up. We really appreciated the outhouse and outdoor shower, both of which were well maintained.
We also loved that we could have come with the bare minimum and still had everything we needed. The site had plenty of chairs, a hammock, a picnic table, and a mini kitchen setup that worked perfectly for our portable grill.
Plenty to do nearby too! We found a few spots off the side of the river in the area to set up a few towels and spend the day swimming.
Overall, this was a 10/10 experience, and we will definitely be back!

Coy Mountain Camp
This was far and away the best campsite and one of the best camping experiences I’ve had in 40+ years of camping. The photos are true and accurate - the site is stunning and beautifully maintained. Kathy and Tim are gracious and generous hosts. Our group consisted of three adults and three boys under the age of eight. Having so much space for them to run around free was great. The wildflowers surrounding the site, the swallows swooping about, the fireflies, - just a really special place. Thank you, Kathy and Tim, for sharing your space with us.

Cannot say enough good things about Coy Mountain! From our first intro with our hosts who gifted us farm fresh eggs, to the thoughtfully setup campsite and pristine outhouse, everything about it made for a perfect weekend getaway. My dog and I had an absolute blast and can’t wait to go back.

Stellar view and lots of privacy from this high field. Great place for a tent or camper van. We enjoyed the firepit, cute outhouse and outdoor shower. And trails to explore in the woods. Hosts were welcoming and the gift of fresh eggs was a bonus!

A beautiful well maintained campsite. Kathy and Tim were very friendly and helpful. The eggs they gave us on arrival were delicious and there was plenty of firewood for us to burn on the cold October nights. Everything was immaculate and clean, especially the out house with some luxury touches. All the extra details show how much they care about their guests camping experience. The property was fun to explore as well as visiting all the animals on the farm. Easy to explore the area from their place, loved the small town general stores and local creameries. Look forward to visiting in warmer weather.

We loved camping on Kathy and Tim’s land! This place was beautiful, peaceful, lots of privacy, and felt like heaven! So much open sky, being surrounded by the mountains and sounds of nature. The night sky was absolutely spectacular! Perfect for those who are into astrophotography. We felt so welcomed and the amenities were super thoughtful. 100% will be back, we cannot wait!

Love this site and Kathy and Tim are wonderful hosts! It is super private, perfect for off leash dogs, super cute bathroom, 2 hanging sun showers perfect mid-afternoon, and the 360 view for star gazing is unbeatable. This was our 2nd visit and we are already wondering when we can go back.

Outstanding camp site !!! This Kathleen and Tim provided the most welcoming and private spot that was so quiet, full of wild life sounds and peace. Our dogs had the time of their lives running and not confined to their leashes! The views are incredible and we will be returning! 5 stars!!!!

This was my first experience using Hipcamp and I will definitely use the app for future camping trips. We loved the view from Kathy and Tim’s mountain, the campsite was spacious and private. I liked that there weren’t any nearby camping neighbors. My daughter said the outdoor shower was liberating. The animals were very cute, especially Charlie-puppies are so much fun! There are nearby trails for hiking and a lake for swimming. We enjoyed building our campfires-thanks to the wood provided. I set up a screen tent for the picnic table to provide some shade and respite from the buggies (some made their way inside). We were very grateful for the farm fresh eggs-very yummy with breakfast. We will be back to visit Coy mountain for sure.

We LOVED this site. Kathleen and Tim have put a great deal of thought and effort into creating a peaceful and accessible camping experience! The view is breathtaking, the bathroom is adorable, and the privacy was refreshing. Our 2 German shepherds had plenty of room to run off leash. Will highly recommend and plan to visit again soon. We loved the beautiful private space that was Coy mountain! The attention to details, from wood to the shower and especially the out house were awesome. It did rain almost our entire trip so we didn’t get to explore the trails/woods very much and we also didn’t catch a sunset, which I imagine would be so beautiful. So we will just have to come back. 😊

This is our third time staying at Coy Mountain, and we’re already planning our next trip back! It is quiet, beautiful, and altogether a magical place to visit. On top of that, Kathy and Tim are incredible hosts. They have built a wonderful campsite, and we look forward to the farm fresh eggs every time! Could not ask for a better place to settle in and read all day long.

Quiet and magical. Lovely hosts and simple gorgeous camp site. We made it there before sunset and plan on going back. The evening star show is brilliant because there is no manmade light. The quiet is complete. The sleep was deep. Like the Four Seasons Hotel but way better.

This was the most magical campsite we've ever stayed at! Our dogs were so happy and could freely run around. Amazing sunrises and sunsets. The outdoor shower was awesome. An idyllic place to camp in the fall surronded by the hills and colours in the trees. We can't wait to come back :)

We were welcomed with open arms by very nice people, we were the only guests so we had the whole terrain to ourselves under the starry sky and with a campfire and picnic table. We got eggs from their chickens. We could take a lovely cold shower. And the surroundings were beautiful.
