Campers are welcome to walk the trails around the fields and woods and visit the animals. Most of the time cars or r.v.s can manage the gravel and dirt road back to the campsite, assistance or a truck will be provided if a large rain storm might occur during your stay. We are just a mile north of Seneca lake providing easy access to Geneva and the many wine trails. this is basic camping area with no hookups but an electric generator is available. There is a dock, fishing, picnic table and deck, and fire pit, you will have the entire area to yourself and can set up camp whenever you would like. There are many areas to spread out individual campsites for large groups if desired. we have added a large porta potty.

After he purchased the land, he spent the next year building the perfect house on top of the hill at the end of our long driveway. We have a beautiful view from our front porch. We have discovered from my Grandmother that this same property happens to be the same property that my Great, Great Grandparents used to farm and cut firewood on. We offer wooded and open area hiking trails around the property. A fire ring and picnic table or table are provided at your site and a porta-potty available for our campers to use. The property is located in the quiet hills in New York's Finger Lakes Region. Just 20 minutes from Keuka Lake and 25 to all the shopping and dining experiences that you could ever want in downtown Corning along with hundreds of NYS breweries and wineries to enjoy during the day. Return to the hill for a quiet campfire in the evening. Their are several nearby rivers and lakes to canoe or kayak, hiking trails all over the region and even in our own backyard! We hope to see you soon!   Sites #1, #2 & #3 can easily accommodate any type of camper (tent, trailer, van, RV, motor home, etc.)  These sites could be booked for more than just 2 campers. Please contact me if you have a larger group.  Site #4 offers the best view! However it is close to our house so if you want more privacy we recommend staying at one of the other sites.  But their is plenty of room here for a larger group.  Site #5 is secluded by itself on the far side of the field on the right hand side of our driveway. The best way to get to it is to take the road to the end of the field. You will find an vehicle accessible path next to the tree line.    Site #6 is the first spot you will find off the driveway it is before the play area and tucked in the trees #6 offers more shade but would be better for a tent. New this year! Windy Ridge Cabin. The cabin can sleep up to 6. Spacious and clean. The cabin sits on the edge of the woods and overlooks the valley to the left.

We developed 2 RV sites with full hookups, including 30, 50 Amp and 110 electric. There is water and sewage hookups, at both sites. We would like to share this sanctuary with others, who would appreciate it. You can book 1 site or add the second site at the extras section, in check out. We are only renting to one party at a time. You will have the campsites to yourselves. Our property is one mile from Cowanesque Lake, where there is fishing, boating, and swimming. You will enjoy wildlife, on our property and in the surrounding area such as deer, bald eagles, various birds, hoot owls at night, and others. It is also within driving distance from the Finger Lakes and wineries, Watkins Glenn, Corning Glass Museum, Leonard Harrison and Colton Point State Parks, Hills Creek State Park, Mansfield University, Tioga Boar Hunting Reserve, and the adorable town of Wellsboro. There are no lights on our property and is very dark at night. It is best to arrive during daylight, for easier RV hook up. However, due to the darkness, stargazing is spectacular. We have been able to see the Milky Way, at times. There is only one other home visible from the campsites. Enjoy!

We stayed in a 26' trailer, and the hookups were excellent. If you have dogs with good recall, this is the perfect place. Being able to let them off leash was so appreciated. The lake was beautiful and crystal clear. Our dogs loved swimming, and we enjoyed paddle boarding. Next time we’ll come earlier in the season so we have more daylight to enjoy everything. This spot exactly as described. Very private but everything here and well laid out. The walk to the lake is a bit steep but 110% worth it if you like to fish or be by water. We caught at least a dozen largemouth bass, several 10-12 inches, a yellow perch and several large pumpkinseeds. RV Site is gravel and damn near perfectly level. Couldn’t ask for much better, appreciate Roberto and his family are willing to to share this very nice location, A+ Hipcamp!

Weekend Trip to Calm Mountain
Wendy and Dennis have a great site in Lawrenceville. We had our pick of two different spots and had the whole place to ourselves. It is located on a quiet road close to Cowanesque Lake and some very nice hiking trails. The sites were level and well-maintained. They were kind enough to provide a charcoal grill and firewood for the fire pit. The hook-ups were fantastic, with options for 20, 30, and 50 amp. This is a great place to set up base if you plan on visiting the area or are looking for a place to stay if you pass through on a longer trip. We would highly recommend it. The stargazing is also incredible!

We loved the area and enjoyed the vineyards, farms, and hiking in the area. We even did a hot air balloon ride in Ithaca. Very cool experience. We loved the privacy. There is a road near the camp where we heard a lot of ATV's the first couple of days, but we didn't see anyone else the entire time. The lake is lovely. My dog absolutely loved it. We took her down everyday & each time she gave us a hard time leaving. It's an easy walk down, but a hike back up, although a short lived one. There are other houses around the lake with their own docks. The use of the dock was great. We didn't bring our kayaks because we saw from earlier reviews that kayaks & a row boat were there, but that wasn't so on our trip. We purchased blow up lounges & floated around on those & felt like kids again. The camp itself was behind a vacant cabin. The fire pit was perfect, abundant firewood provided. Adirondack chairs were provided as well as a picnic table and another table. The hook ups for the camper were easy to use. We had a great time & even extended our stay by two days. The one drawback was the size of the stone used as ground cover for the majority of the hip camp, it was pretty large & cumbersome to walk on. My dog could hardly walk on it, so I laid a blanket path out for her from the camper to the fire pit. We had to wear shoes to walk on it. We tried to use a blow up mattress to sleep next to the fire pit one night & the stone made it difficult. They laid it as drainage for the rain, but smaller sized gravel would have been softer on the feet.

This is a really nice spot for a camper or two! The location has great hookups, sits back far enough from the road, and there were no problems with bugs or anything while we were there. There are lakes and rivers to access with boats and kayaks. For some quick hiking, I’d recommend the Stephenhouse Trail. Go on the Tioga river 🛶 and then stop at Jones Cones 🍦. Just a really great spot for a care free easy going stay ☀️

Underhill Inn is a small homestead located in the Finger Lakes region tucked in the rolling hills near Dryden Lake. Our small pond (tho not suitable for fishing or swimming) provides entertainment w/ turtle sunbathing raft and lots of nature's visitors. Pets always welcome off-leash with your guidance. About the Trials Riding: We host 6 Mototrial events each season (see below) and if spectating appeals, you can plan your trip to coincide. You're in for a treat if you've never seen these nimble motorcycles do their 'thing'... up, over, and around the obstacles. Events are busy and exciting, but no worries (!) trials bikes are not loud. Riders are friendly and considerate. If spectating is not your thing- no worries either. Non-event days are very laid back. On any given day if Trials riders come here for practice (or instruction with Mike) it's not loud or invasive, nor interferes with any camper training or play on the course. When riders are here (barring events), it's typically only 2-4 riders at a time. Multiple activities co-exist quite nicely here as there is plenty of room for all. Just 20 minutes from Keuka Lake and 25 to all the shopping and dining experiences that you could ever want in downtown Corning along with hundreds of NYS breweries and wineries to enjoy during the day. Return to the hill for a quiet campfire in the evening. Their are several nearby rivers and lakes to canoe or kayak, hiking trails all over the region and even in our own backyard! We hope to see you soon!   Sites #1, #2 & #3 can easily accommodate any type of camper (tent, trailer, van, RV, motor home, etc.)  These sites could be booked for more than just 2 campers. Please contact me if you have a larger group.  Site #4 offers the best view! However it is close to our house so if you want more privacy we recommend staying at one of the other sites.  But their is plenty of room here for a larger group.  Site #5 is secluded by itself on the far side of the field on the right hand side of our driveway. The best way to get to it is to take the road to the end of the field. You will find an vehicle accessible path next to the tree line.    Site #6 is the first spot you will find off the driveway it is before the play area and tucked in the trees #6 offers more shade but would be better for a tent.
