Wonderful spot! Very flat, right next to a gorgeous pond with birds and croaking bullfrogs. Great fire pit. Pretty river with a bridge on over it nearby as well. Plenty of room, and an easy stroll into the village to grab a meal if you want to. Very kind hospitable host. It’s a really great place

2 nights at Grateful Acres Vermont

Grateful Acres was one of the coolest campsites I've ever stayed at. They really balance taking care of you while giving you plenty of privacy. The canvas tent my friend and I rented had everything from spare phone chargers to an electric fly swatter included in it. It was incredibly helpful (I doubt you've ever seen accommodations like that at other campsites, private or public). Stephanie and her son Noah were such friendly and welcoming people. I would 100% recommend others to camp at Grateful Acres. If you have down time, go and appreciate their Grateful Dead themed cornhole they have set up. It's wicked

Weekend Trip to Forest Echo Cabins

My family and I had a great time in the Ripley Hill cabin! We stayed here last year and loved it so much that we came back and brought along my sister’s two teenagers. There was plenty of room for all of us, a nice newly renovated bathroom, and the fireplace came in super handy for the chilly nights we had. So much of what we needed was already there, such as kitchen equipment, lighting, games and cleaning supplies, plus lots more. The hosts were very kind and accommodating even though we forgot to text before we left. Thank you!

Unfortunately, this time around we didn’t get a chance to stay due to a family emergency. We were disappointed we couldn’t stay, but family comes first, and that our refund was/is still a challenge to obtain. I hope to receive my refund very soon as I had notified within the cancellation policy therefore, a full refund is due. (Not sure why I need to leave a review when I requested a cancellation, speaking with the host directly)

Absolutely beautiful natural camping experience on Mikes Land, every site is amazing and surrounded by trees, from the breath taking views up top on the “green mt” site to the site by the small pond it was a wonderful private peaceful trip, mike is an amazing easy going guy who respects your privacy and also you may be visited by the cutest group of chickens ever! Right across the street is shaftsbury lake state park for amazing hikes and only 10/15 minutes to bennington VT for any supplies needed. 10/10 will definitely be back to healing springs again!

This was our second time camping at this spot and we loved it both times! It’s spacious and feels private without being miles away from everyone else. The camping spot is very clean and well maintained, the hosts are responsive, and the dog (and chickens!) are super friendly and well behaved, we barely noticed they were there :) The view of the mountains and sunset is definitely the highlight of this spot though. We hope to visit again sometime!

I am counting the days until I can return!!! This was beyond spectacular. We had an enormous amount of space, didn’t see another person, and it was so well marked, gorgeous and peaceful. The experience was a gift my dog and I will cherish! These folks will be sick of me by the end of the season

Such a beautiful site! Very peaceful with lots of frog song in a small pond and a stream flowing next to the site. I would definitely come back! Augustus answered all of my questions very quickly and was very helpful.

Stunning landscapes, one of the best sunrises in the state from site 1 in our 16' travel trailer. Clean, accommodating, easy to find. Just off the beaten path enough to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Relaxing hiking trails, easy but fun 3 hole disc golf course, and the dogs loved the pond and open fields! Having power and water is a nice bonus with the option of an outhouse, We will be back! Roy is an excellent host with excellent communication, felt like we were renting from someone we already knew. Can't recommend enough!

Stephanie and Noah were very friendly and welcoming, we felt like we were at home. The Daydream Cabin was clean and cozy. The view of the sunset was fantastic. My wife and I will definitely be returning for more relaxing getaways. I highly recommend this campground.

Very nice place. Roy is a great host who responds quickly to Messages and booking request and for any questions you have along the way. Since I was there very early in the season and the only occupant, my experience was supreme-super quiet and peaceful. He had me down at Lilly‘s pond, which was a very nice set up, with a picnic table, ideal, flat, tenting surface, and a fire pit. Outhouse is right around the corner, clean, and well equipped.

Very quiet with great swimming and lots of hikes right from your sites. 2 of the Brookside Sites (Wishbone Left and Right) are close by (2.7 miles) where we have another 1/2 mile of river frontage and can handle bigger groups as Conservation land on Sunrise Farm only allows 4 campers per site. Sunrise Farm Sites 1 and 2 have oodles of space and Spectacular 50 mile views of Mount Monadnock with no house lights out there in the evening except the party string lights we provide. Site 1 (with entrance 70 yards south of the farmhouse) is best for camping in with up to 20 foot trailers or multiple tents …on the large flat spaces in the 25 acre field to choose from. Great Well water available near farmhouse. Biodegradable soaps Only if used in the ponds. Double Olympic sized Swim Pond we stock with Rainbow Trout to keep clear. We have been advised Not to allow imported firewood (can import Wood Beetle dangerous for our forest). - PLEASE use the Firewood bundle tubs we provide ($12.50) - pick up at the farmhouse or pull wood from the woods (and make it safer for use). Beautiful and plenty of wildlife nearby... as well as Outhouses are marked on Map we provide with solar lights marking them at night. Do Not Leave food out when camping or away from site. Bears are rarely seen but it is wild country. Sites have locking garbage lids. Unique and lovely as well as being next to trails and roads to miles of remote spots with very few if any ... people. In Winter we request only AWD vehicles go down to this site or park up by farmhouse and hike in so you can easily get out. When wet park up by the road if you have 2 wheel drive. Always WISE to arrive When LIGHT out as we do not live at the site and are not able to show guests to their sites as a result.

Our property is located in Wakonda Family Campground. Our site is B15 and is located in a wooded area where you can have a tent or small trailer. The campsite has water and electric hook-up and fire wood with an outdoor fire pit. The campground has two private beaches for swimming. That same pond is open to fishing and paddle boating. There are bath houses throughout the campground and the closest one to the camp site is a 1 minute walk. The bath houses include 1 shower, two sinks, and 3 toilet stalls all are which are very clean and maintained very well by the campground. The campground also has a playground, basketball court, pickleball/tennis court, sand volleyball court, fenced-in dog park, and camp store with souvenirs. I now try to keep the back acreage by the brook and pond as natural as possible for habitat, as well as you the campers! Learn more about this land: Most will have cell service at the site or there is a free public Wi-Fi in Wilmington center. Private yet convenient to Downtown Wilmington, VT. Located between the Harriman reservoir and Lake Raponda, both great for boating, fishing and swimming. As well as the Deerfield River across the street, which runs through town. There is a public hiking trail that goes through the property. It goes from the Fairview ave. boat launch in Wilmington, all the way up to West Dover. You can access this at the back of the site. The site is only a minutes drive from downtown Wilmington, or you can hike/bike there on the trail (approx 15 min). In Wilmington there is plenty of shopping, gifts, coffee, restaurants, gas, liquor store. I also have dry, split firewood available for $10 on site. Please don't bring your own unless it is prepackaged from shaws or bought from one of the local sellers right around me. Transportation of out of state firewood can bring invasive beetles to our forests...

Adirondack Rustic Retreat

As far as we know, this land has been occupied since shortly after the civil war. It is actually two farms, combined into one around 1900. The main farmhouse was built out of the logs they cleared in 1879, and there are old foundations of the other original farm houses/barns as well. All over the property (now woods) there are piles of stones that the original inhabitants pulled from the fields. The second farm house was built in 1901. Most of the total 240 acres were cleared pasture land at that time. During the twenties and thirties the property was owned by an industrious couple from the City that lovingly turned it into more of a "rustic retreat"; damming a pond, planting ornamentals and upgrading the buildings. There have been many owners over the years, but we are proud to say it has been with us the longest. Our family bought it in 1961 and we have been trying to be good stewards ever since. Come and visit our little patch of wilderness!
