Unfortunately my stay at this site was dampened (pun intended) by a considerable rainstorm but I'm sure the site would be lovely on better weather days.
Despite what other reviews have stated the drive to access the site is at most 10% grade and was a piece of cake to access in my crossover hatchback. Even despite the rain there was no slipping or sliding around which I was grateful for. Very convenient to get to, and I was surprised that the site has its own street number and Google leads you right to it!

Easy to find, simple but pleasant. We didn't use the campfire area (didn't bring chairs) but wish he had! No fuss all around. Would gladly return.

I loved having my work camp site and the road was fairly quiet minus some road traffic. The camp site was clean and well taken care of. I really enjoyed being after a full day of hiking in the Lake George area.

great fire pit
Fairly isolated although we heard more than one truck as another reviewer mentioned. Probably like 10 over weekend so not bad. No late night sweeps of headlights in the tent either.
Beautiful trees.
Plenty of parking space.
Cons - essentially the same size as a public spot with mostly gravel and one small area for a tent.
No views
And we had to clean up the site up of rocks and gravel and debris before we put our footprint down.
All in all a 4 out of 5

Overall we liked the location and camp experience but also was a bit panicked when we arrived. We got in late, and as stated we saw it was not a pull through. No problem, except the hill to get in was so steep we actually couldnt back our 8ft travel trailer in. So, we had to treat it as if it could be a pull through. It was ok in our case because our trailer can move when not connected to the truck with a bunch of strength and time, but it was a big hassle. I think it could be beneficial to see before booking that its not a pull thru and may not be suitable for pull behind campers because you can't back up.
Also, when leaving we got stuck multiple times on the loose gravel in my 4x4 8ft truck. I do appreciate the price and mostly secluded location!

Needed a one night overnight camp spot and this was perfect.
Just a cute little quiet spot off a very rarely used gravel road, (only saw one UPS truck)
With plenty of space for a vehicle, tent spot, and fire pit. The site had a great view of the stars through the trees with zero light pollution. Lots of scattered wood fall for firewood and good Verizon cell service. Central location to trails. Responsive host.
