Weekend Trip to Forest Echo Cabins

Rustic cabin with a stocked kitchen, amazing fireplace and my favorite, the sleeping porch. Situated 0n acres of gorgeous property ours to explore - hime, swim, paddle or just relax. Scott and Rose were lovely at check-in, could t have asked for nicer hosts. Perfect way to truly disconnect - no WiFi or strong cell service, just peace and quiet. I read an entire book yesterday - that hasn’t happened in years!

A hidden gem of a spot, even nicer than the pictures show. You can really tell the hosts put a lot of love and effort into the place.

3 nights at Forest Echo Cabins

We had a great time at Forest Echo and can't wait to go back! The property is absolutely gorgeous. The cabin was so very comfortable and the cleanest of any hipcamp cabin I've visited. The forest and land is beautifully cared for, and I loved the flowers and ferns around the cabin. The lake was beautiful and perfect for canoeing and kayaking while the farm pond was picturesque for sitting and relaxing and a fun swim spot too. The people were extremely kind, welcoming and helpful! The hike down to the lake isn't an issue for most people, especially not active ones. However, if you have mobility or breathing problems it may be difficult. We still made it without a problem, but some may find it difficult.

2 nights at Grateful Acres Vermont

Grateful Acres was one of the coolest campsites I've ever stayed at. They really balance taking care of you while giving you plenty of privacy. The canvas tent my friend and I rented had everything from spare phone chargers to an electric fly swatter included in it. It was incredibly helpful (I doubt you've ever seen accommodations like that at other campsites, private or public). Stephanie and her son Noah were such friendly and welcoming people. I would 100% recommend others to camp at Grateful Acres. If you have down time, go and appreciate their Grateful Dead themed cornhole they have set up. It's wicked

Weekend Trip to Graceful Acres Farmstay

We had the most amazing stay here! It was so peaceful and relaxing at the Corn Crib. Not too far from Saratoga Battlefield National Park and Saratoga Springs for day trips but also optimal to unwind at the cabin with a good book or cards. A woodchuck may have gotten into the hood of our car, but Elizabeth and Brad quickly remedied the situation with ease. Highly recommend overall!

Weekend Trip to Forest Echo Cabins

My family and I had a great time in the Ripley Hill cabin! We stayed here last year and loved it so much that we came back and brought along my sister’s two teenagers. There was plenty of room for all of us, a nice newly renovated bathroom, and the fireplace came in super handy for the chilly nights we had. So much of what we needed was already there, such as kitchen equipment, lighting, games and cleaning supplies, plus lots more. The hosts were very kind and accommodating even though we forgot to text before we left. Thank you!

The simple tent trailer is a good spot to crash while exploring the surrounding area. It is on the edge of a field so not much privacy. Justin was great at communicating.

This spot is an outdoors lover’s dream! You are a walk or bike ride away to hikes and trails. Also, the town of Poultney is 3.4~ miles away. There is an amazing used book store and some nice little diner spots. Oh yeah, the cabin is awesome too! On my first night I jumped in the canoe and just bopped around on the pond. It has everything one human could want. I love this spot, and I will be back!

Adam, Stephanie, and Noah are excellent hosts! They cater to your every need and give you a safe space to be yourself. The Mars Hotel is extremely comfortable and it was really nice having access to a heater, solar shower, and personal toilet. My boyfriend and I had the most amazing time at Grateful Acres and we will absolutely be back soon!

Weekend Trip to The TrailHouse

Great amenities, including the super nice hot showers on a cold rainy long weekend. We had a big group which was perfect for the campsite as we could take over the many sites. Bell Tent stayed warm and dry, although some of the blankets and things were slightly damp by the end of the wet weekend, just due to the humidity. Air mattress was *very* comfy. Bike access to trails and town is unparalleled. Great vibes all around!

Weekend Trip to The TrailHouse

We loved this sweet little cabin on Caitrin and Hardy’s gorgeous property. The bed was comfy and having mini fridge, power outlets and a hot water kettle made are our “camping” weekend feel luxurious. We loved the big windows and waking up to beautiful nature right outside the door as well as the direct access to the Slate Valley mountain biking trails. Can’t wait for our next stay here!

Weekend Trip to Riverside Retreat and Tiny Cabin

Absolutely stunning location & wonderful experience through & through! Very quiet area & the sound & view of the Poultney River from the cabin helped me get some of the best sleep in recent memory. The trip consisted of me, a middle-aged mom, my 16 year old daughter who wanted a city-sensory detox following exams, & two young, high energy dogs that had yet to travel together. I’m thrilled to say the cabin fit us all well & cozy, & Robbin’s hospitality was truly remarkable! You can tell when a host truly wants to welcome visitors & who understands the art of hospitality & not simply the aesthetics of what may look good from afar. She & anything & everything I could have thought of stocked & ready in a lovely rustic cabinet - from cookware to tea, spices, cloth napkins, extra towels (she told me to not worry about staining bc puppies and torrential rain = some mess lol) & even extra hotel sized toiletries if needed. Not only was the cabin cozy & well heated by the gas ‘wood’ stove when it got chilly, it had nice air circulation when the quality newer windows were opened . The sound system is GREAT - albeit a bit complicated for me to understand but the teenager understood it easily, go figure 🤣 From the fresh flowers waiting to the small selection of books, games, (and a puzzle cube we didn’t dare attempt lol,) it was a lovely getaway. I hope to return again with my water shoes, an inner tube, & a tether to keep me close to shore for another magical tiny house visit!

Great campsite, very beautiful and private! We enjoyed our stay. Hearing the birds was so amazing, I recommend the Merlin Bird ID app to help identify them! We also brought battery powered fairy lights to hang up in the tent for an extra magical touch. It rained on and off the whole weekend and we stayed warm and dry. It would be nice if newspapers were supplied for the wood stove as I had to use up my glove box supply of napkins haha, but other than that had everything we needed! While we brought our own supplies and food, the farm store was a great touch knowing if we needed anything, it was just down the road. Would stay again!

Adirondack Rustic Retreat

As far as we know, this land has been occupied since shortly after the civil war. It is actually two farms, combined into one around 1900. The main farmhouse was built out of the logs they cleared in 1879, and there are old foundations of the other original farm houses/barns as well. All over the property (now woods) there are piles of stones that the original inhabitants pulled from the fields. The second farm house was built in 1901. Most of the total 240 acres were cleared pasture land at that time. During the twenties and thirties the property was owned by an industrious couple from the City that lovingly turned it into more of a "rustic retreat"; damming a pond, planting ornamentals and upgrading the buildings. There have been many owners over the years, but we are proud to say it has been with us the longest. Our family bought it in 1961 and we have been trying to be good stewards ever since. Its a 15 min drive from Okemo/Ludlow, 10min drive from the Appalachian trail (7.9 mile walk) and there are 3 other Ski resorts within an hour of us as well as numerous lakes and hiking trails. Just 2 miles up the road is Star Lake and the quaint town of Belmont. Our 7 acres sits on the Northside of Belmont hill. Half of it is open with several gardens to meander through. There is a pergola filled with kiwis and wisteria and a hammock for lounging. A shady grape arbor filled with white grapes that we have made wine with. On property we have a tree fort, greenhouse, chickens and pigs. We do provide fresh eggs for sale. There is a medium pond in the back for swimming, a large fire pit for fires and but the Hip Shack comes with its own fire pit/grill combo. Wood bundle's are also available. There is a rudimentary outdoor toilet and shower. The shower can be filled with hot water using the faucet by the garage. All water from hoses, pump hoses and faucets is the same drinkable well water, collected from the many underground springs that also feed into the pond.
