We also have a variety of small animals as well such as Red and Grey Squirrels, Raccoons, Porcupine, Opossum, Fisher etc. For the birders, we have Barred and Great Horned Owls and Red Tailed Hawks. It is also not uncommon to see Bald Eagles soaring over the fields looking for their next meal. All of the property is easily accessible via our extensive trail system. Todd went above and beyond at every instance that we needed him. Lovely spot, great trails in hardwood forests for dog walks. Quiet country living, beautiful pond. Couldn't ask for a better host. He even lent us his waste tote to dump black and grey tanks and even took it away with my husband to dump.

I do wish that the site photos were a little more specific to the site and was able to make out the differences a little but easier before booking, but the site we ended choosing was perfect. The portapotty was close by and very clean Definitely considering the same site again or even one of the bigger ones in the future (will be returning for the annual Sheep and Wool festival hopefully!) or even coming back in warmer weather to enjoy the animals and property more.

This campground is easy to park with a convenient bathroom and showers that are fairly clean. Toilets were cleaned both mornings. The last shower stall is large enough to get clothes away from shower area. The shower heads are intelligently placed facing toward the back wall and there was plenty of hot water. The washer and dryer are reasonably priced. We were there late in the season and they were doing some work with chain saws. Perhaps in preparation for the next season. Absolutely no managerial people spoke to us and the office was closed when we arrived. We just went to our reserved site.

The site known as "Million Dollar View", never fails to deliver a stunning backdrop for our vacations to the Berkshires, no matter the time of year! My wife and I, recently finished up our 5th trip to Vermont, while staying at Nick's property. This Hip Camp location is hard to beat in the way of beautiful long distance views, a well kept camp site/ beautifully cared for land, and it's general proximity to Williamstown and other areas. This site is perfect for those who enjoy a primitive camping experience. Before you even arrive to the camp you'll enjoy a short drive through old growth forests! We won't give away all the hidden treasures of Nick's property, you'll have to find those on your own! If you're looking for a quiet, well kept and truly special spot to camp, this is it! Nick has certainly earned a repeat customer with us, and we feel very fortunate that this spot is available. We respect the property and appreciate the work that has gone into making it truly one of the BEST primitive camping experiences in the area!

Amazing spot tucked away in the woods, we felt like we had complete privacy and could barely see other campsites from our spot! The broader campgrounds is perfect for hiking and exploring. Highly recommend. Campsite 2 is up a steep, unpaved gravelly road. We managed getting up and down in our AWD Zipcar just fine, though.
