Private driveway in the woods leads up a hill to three fabulous, secluded, country-setting camping locations with incredible views. Hay fields in front of you with woods behind you, you'll have peace and quiet in total seclusion but are only 5 minutes from downtown historic Greenwich village with diners and shops and a CVS. (The “Stewarts” gas station and market has firewood bundles!) Camping locations have no amenities but are cleared with mowed grass and have fire-pits. Pitch tent or bring RV, you'll enjoy yourself and the wildlife around you. Site 1 and 2 are adjacent to woods, site 3 is a wide-open-field site (great RV site) with the best panoramic and sunset view. There is camp wood for fires in various spots on the property (40 acres) that campers are welcome to but you might want to bring some of your own as well. Also, the coded entrance gate will be open for your reservation date so no additional call is required. UPDATE...driveway regraded for easier access for all vehicles now. Nice grassy camp site for tenting or smaller RV with fire pit, super views, very remote and quiet. Note: Rustic cabin available on this site with ADDITION BOOKING REQUIRED AND FEE FOR CABIN...see "Archdale Cabins" on Hipcamp site to book cabin ($75/nite) Also, cabin rents in conjunction with site 2 only if desired, cabin will not rent separately by another party on same night as tenting site 2. See cabin description below. Rustic 30x12 cabin added to site 2 on edge of woods looking North towards mountains of Vermont, this "cabin on the hill" sleeps 2 with 2 twin log beds. NO BATHROOM, NO WATER, NO HEAT yet, but plenty of room to spread out with LOTS of natural light and 6 picture windows! Covered porch has chairs with great views makes this a nice upgrade from a tent! Comfy, clean mattress sets provided but you must bring your own linens, blankets and pillows! No bedding provided. Basic tables and several easy chairs provided but the cabin is bare bones basics, only a basic shell inside with upgraded interior coming soon! Buff (our 28' Airstream, not just our preferred dress code ) rolled up this hillside and we knew immediately: this was the spot. My wife and I are die-hard Hipcamp regulars on the hunt for the perfect off-grid, clothing-optional escape — and this one was absolutely amazing. The views? Unreal. Farms sprawled out below, endless sky, and a sunset that put on a show every single night — which, conveniently, is also the best lighting for an all-natural tan. Zero lines, maximum vibes. We had the hillside practically to ourselves, so let's just say the breeze had full access and nobody complained. The host was an absolute gem — friendly, low-key, clearly loves this land, and didn't bat an eye at two retired free spirits soaking up the view exactly as we arrived into this world. That kind of easy, judgment-free hospitality is hard to find. Pro tip: bring everything you need, there's no amenities up here — just you, the meadow, and your best self (literally). We will 100% be back, sunscreen optional. Five stars, hands down

Kind of magical. Just drive up and there it is . Such a beautiful panoramic view ! And if you are a dog lover like us this spot is PERFECT! The very large open field that surrounds you is great for dog or dogs for sure . We will definitely be going back .

Beautiful private campsite with amazing views. We booked site #1 and didn't see anyone around. Went to Stewart's for firewood but the host also left some wood for us. Good for stargazing. Great mid point between Saratoga Springs NY and Manchester VT too. Would recommend!

The site is located on a hillside above the farm with beautiful views of the valley and a magnificent sunset. We enjoyed our night in a quiet and very private location. The access road is a little steep with gravel, but it was no problem for our van.

We had to cancel our 2 day stay on the day of our arrival because our dog at home 5 hours away was going into emergency surgery for a spleen bleed. We had been on the road in Green MtsAdirondacks for days previously. So we tried to go through the Hipcamp app to modify the reservation and inform the host. Fail as modifying to shorten or lengthen the stay didn’t allow. Tried contacting host with Hipcamp and left msg. No response. Again fail. Disappointed as we expected a bucolic stay and cordial response. O well it’s just $$

The views from this hilltop campsite were beautiful - farms below and surrounding countryside, as well as huge sky. We had plenty of privacy however there are three sites and the other two were not rented during our stay. We could see the other two sites, so if they had been rented it would not have been as private. They were a good distance away however, and if you were traveling with other couples this would be perfect. Easy access to Greenwich, the Hudson, western VT, and Lake George. We will definitely return in the fall to see the foliage.

My second time and loved it just as much as the first time! Beautiful place but keep in mind there are absolutely no amenities so you need to come prepared with everything from water, table, chairs, wood to a toilet. I enjoy the solitude & views and will definitely be back again!

Picturesque and wide-open space with great vista of surrounding rolling, wooded hills and farmland. Easy to access and convenient to town. Kid loved rolling down the slope from camp and dog loved barrelling after! Host was beyond helpful and kind.

It was a great experience at Archdale Meadows! We spent the nights under the stars and the wide open grassland. We’re lucky enough to see the Starlink Satellite train at night. We’ll probably be back and highly recommended!

Fantastic spot! Site 2 w/cabin, easily met all expectations and then some. Cabin is basic, but suited all our needs for only $10 charge. The view is as gorgeous as advertised. Next time we are back in the Saratoga area, we will definitely check for availability here first! Thomas's land really made the weekend!
