Welcome to Lilac Firefly! This is a residential 7 acre property in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are right off the main road for easy access about 15-20 minutes south of Bangor. It is very peaceful and calm here. We live in the 5 bedroom older farmhouse where you can use the bathroom if needed. You will receive a code for the electronic door lock. Upon booking, I will send a welcome email with all info needed for your stay. There is a small stream and community fireplace by the 4 campsites and another fireplace closer to the garden. The designated campsites are at the rear of the property and are first come, first serve. A tent can be set up anywhere on the 7 acres and does not need to be in the designated campsite area. We have easily accommodated 20+ campers at once (6-8 groups), though typically you might be the only group here. Car camping, van life, and tents are welcome! We previously accepted RVs, but for 2026 this has changed due to tenants now in an RV. There are some lightly wooded areas, apple trees, a pear tree, and an open field. We are pet friendly and there animals that live here too. I travel a lot as a DJ and audio tech and might not be here, but have a self check in process and video I will send. Roommates are generally here. Maine Savings Amphitheatre is 15 min away (concerts in Bangor). Acadia National Park is just over 1 hour away. Bangor and Bucksport are both about 15 min away. Fort Knox is about 20 min away. From the campsites, the road and house are not visible. We have flowers when in season, deer, turkey, birds, and friendly creatures that visit.
Please be ready to be self sufficient and sustainable in any weather. Well water is available, and passes all tests - pure and safe for drinking.
Chopped, split, and dried wood (pine) is available included in your Hipcamp fee! You can burn what you need for the day/night. Thank you.
Sometimes we get campers who are going to a concert in Bangor, which is awesome. Any hours coming and going are fine! Feel free to reach out with any questions.

We are third generation Randalls to own this 100 acre farm. We love the property and we are creating an event venue space. On the farmhouse side we have an original 1800s barn. We are building a large pavilion for events. Behind this area there is a rolling hill which overlooks Dixmont mountains. Across the road, is a large, flat field with small farm pond with tree swing, rustic arbor and historic farm equipment. We are just a few miles off I-95 both north and south bound. This is a huge level gravel pad up a long dirt driveway. Travel down a dirt road about 1 mile to find your oasis in nature.
4 wheel drive is not required but necessary if you bring an RV (please use 4 wheel drive when going up the driveway if you’re towing to avoid creating ruts in the drive way. A car will make it down the dirt road and up the semi-steep drive way. PLEASE DRIVE SLOW to respect the road and preserve the undercarriage of your car.
Please bring everything you need for a great stay and take everything with you when you depart. The pad will accommodate multiple tents, a small to medium sized RV and 4-5 cars.
There are no onsite amenities. Please bring your water and plan to take your trash with you. The area is lush and green and the stars are bright at night.
Any fallen trees are yours to use for firewood. You can also take any small branches from the brush piles. We just ask that you do not cut down any other trees on the property.
You have 13 acres all to yourself. There are a few short trails that lead to the rear of the property but they are very short and not maintained paths.
Guests interactions:
You are on your own! We will observe the property after your checkout. Please take everything with you and do not burn trash in the fire ring.
There are nearby ATV trails. If you bring ATVs, kindly ask that you drive them carefully on our gravel pad, driveway, and dirt road (drive slow, no donuts please :))
Dogs are welcome! Bring your friends. Take your trash. Please respect our nature and pack it out if you pack it in. That includes anything you may or may not do in the woods. Do not leave tissue paper or piles of #2 on the paths. Use a bag, pack it out.
We do not provide anything besides the space to pop a tent. Bring a hand saw to cut wood!

The campsite is set just off Rocky Point Road (a quiet dead end dirt road). While the tent itself is visible from the road, traffic is light — mostly neighbors and the occasional car misled by GPS heading toward nearby Sears Island. The campsites true gem is a wooded trail leading to your own beach access just ten minutes away. The site includes a sturdy platform tent with a queen-size bed frame (BYO bedding), a private off-grid toilet with a compostable bag system for your bathroom needs, and a simple camp shower bag you can fill with your own water for a quick rinse under the trees. There is no electricity or running water on-site.
Explore two short wooded trails (interrupted by Fire Lane 3) to the stairs that lead to your beach access. At the end of the steps to the beach, you’ll find a second fire ring perfect for an evening drink or early morning coffee. Don’t forget to hunt for some of Maine’s treasured sea glass as a souvenir!
Enjoy stunning views of Stockton Harbor, watch for eagles and deer, or while you’re hanging out on the beach, wander over to the Stockton Springs Yacht Club, where you’ll find a full service bar and restaurant right on the water. They also have’s kayak/canoe rentals!

Sunflower Ranch is the name of our home and property.
Not only is our cozy, modest house sunflower yellow but in August it is surrounded with sunflowers of all sizes.
We share our property with a flock of sweet hens and ducks.....and a few bossy roosters.
Eggs are available for purchase if needed. There is a little greenhouse with herbs, greens and strawberries. The field is also an apple orchard that mostly feeds the wildlife. The tent site is privately placed in our cove unseen from the house.
We wanted to offer a site that we would enjoy as well and feels like it is
in a world of its own. We spend all of our free time outside, camping and paddling the local rivers and lakes. Tommy and I can recommend many beautiful remote Maine adventures for you to experience that are located off the grid and away from all other humans.
The sweet city of Ellsworth is only 7 miles away for all of your provisions and Otis General Store is 1 mile away.. they have everything to get you through plus beer, wine, ice and homemade pizza. We can give you a pass to visit the Beech Hill Pond Beach also only 1 mile away (I walk there all the time)
which has clear water and a
sandy bottom. Great spot to spend the day sunbathing and swimming.
I can offer yoga, personal training, boxing and paddleboard lessons or SUP yoga for some onsite physical fitness fun upon request.

So... I'm actually going to need to schedule another trip to meet Lakeisha in person! She had to make a last minute change to my reservation; however, she found room for us at a relative's property, and my granddaughter and I had to suffer with a waterfront view. It was absolutely beautiful. Her relative was very accommodating. His property is used as an Air B and B, so he's used to hosting. He had wonderful walking paths cut through the property, and the property abuts a Preserved area named after his grandfather.
Even though we were not on her property, Lakeisha reached out during our stay, to make sure everything was going well for us.
I'll definitely book again! I want to meet Lakeisha and check out her property, too! The Penobscot area, and the surrounding towns are really wonderful. Thanks Lakeisha! And thanks to Starr, as well!

Nice campsite that is close to the airport. Traffic can be a bit noisy depending on the campsite you pick. Campsites are well marked but can be a bit of a pain to find where they are at first if arriving at night.

Weekend Trip to Private Glamping
We had an absolutely magical time staying in Heather’s little spot in the forest. We loved the privacy, the surrounding evergreens, the amenities - everything about it! We got to know some regulars, including a family of deer, a few lightening bugs, and a very curious hummingbird. Would 10/10 recommended if you’re looking to find some peace and natural beauty in your life.

I stayed here for a weekend of rock climbing over in Clifton—would definitely come back if I’m in the area again. Paths and campsites were well mowed, and it was nice to have access to a real bathroom! Plenty of fireflies and morning birds to spot. Camp sites are well out of sight from any roads.

Kyle is a great host, the site is isolated yet close to the water access. He has a nice dock for relaxing on and/or swimming off of. We would definitely spend time there again. We moved to this site when we wanted to add 1 night at the last minute and the site we were at was rented. Claude let us move before check in time, and even let us access his tackle box when we ran out of live bait. This site is calmer, with still water and an erratic boulder/rock shelf to fish/swim/kayak from. Sunrise hits it early, and the porta potty is maybe 1/8th of a mile away-took maybe 2-3 minutes to walk to it. Easily set up our camp shower nearby.
