Experience the charm of our modest farm nestled on an 88-acre forest, complete with a babbling brook and lake access. Located just 45 minutes from Acadia National Park, and in close proximity to less-frequented public trail networks (such as the Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust, right next to our property), our site offers a serene retreat far away from everything and everyone! Indulge in activities like fishing (ensure you have the proper licenses, as Fish and Game Wardens monitor the area), kayaking/canoeing, and swimming from our private lake dock. Although our sites are off-grid without running water, we provide access to composting toilets and potable water. Embrace the quintessential Maine vibes at our campsite, situated along Gott Brook, offering convenient access to the lake via the main campsite road.Enjoy peace and serenity on our 88 acre forested property. A short 3-5 minute hike in from the main road, this campsite is situated on the side of a natural waterfall along Gott Brook. The site is situated underneath mature hemlock trees that are sure to keep you nice and cool on even the hottest summer days. The site includes a composting toilet and a solar shower for all your hygiene needs. A short walk down the main camp road will take you to the Branch Lake Trail, where you can swim and rent kayaks/canoes. Please keep the fire in the existing fire pit and use only the wood provided by us (imported wood can contain invasive pests). We are located 5 minutes away from Hothole Valley (Great Wilderness Area), 15 minutes from downtown Ellsworth, and 45 minutes away from Acadia National Park.
