Weekend Trip to The LAAAAND (just you & 50 acres)

My husband and I loved our camping experience in Cari’s the Laaand. It was fun and weekend is not enough. We loved the short hikes and our favorite is the overlook trail which of course overlooks the Daniel Boone’s Forest. There is no outhouse so better bring your portable toilet ☺️ Overall it was sooo peaceful and serene, we heard roosters at times, but we’re not bothered. The best thing is that we have the place on our own during our stay. 100% sure we’ll book our future camping trips in the Laaaand

Very nice clean campground. It had rained a lot before we got there and it was still wonderful. There were no other campers there as I believe this is somewhat off season. They have bands there on weekends during season. I will be staying there if I go back to red river again. Host is fantastic. You won't regret your choice. Oh yeah, the bathroom facilities for primitive camping.. VERY NICE. Flush toilets and I came in at around 2am with 0 problems. Host did come down to check on us in the morning and was around during departure.

I've stayed at around a dozen hipcamps around the country, and I have to say, this is one of my favorites. It is completely private and there is much to explore right there on the property. Easy communication with the host, available water, and a few minutes drive from some cool hikes in the red river gorge. I'll definitely be staying here again if I'm in the area.

We loved bringing our teardrop trailer to this beautiful private property! We are new to the area and this was the perfect spot for our family. We felt so safe and comfortable and had everything we needed! Our camper did wonderful by the pond! We did hiking every day at red River Gorge and it was so nice coming back to this nice private spot (spot by the pond). We did this trip in March so even though the nights were chilly we did just fine and everyone was sad to leave! Thank you guys for such a great experience and for sharing your property with us!

Nice level site and really well maintained with gravel allowing any rain to drain well. Beautiful ridge top location that was quiet at night. The stars were lovely. The site was large and allowed us ample room to set up our teardrop trailer and to have space for our camp chairs, etc. The porta potty is close enough to be convenient as well. The directions to get to the site were great. They made it easy to find where we were going even after exiting onto a steep mountain gravel road.

Secluded Woods on the Bourbon Trail

* HIKE IN ONLY * The property adjoins our family pumpkin farm where we have miniature Zebu cattle, mini horses and mini goats. There are 109 acres, 91 acres of which is dense woods with plenty of trails to explore. While completely isolated and secluded, it is still close to town and highways/railway, so there will be typical sounds associated with those. Absolute seclusion on the Bourbon Trail and only 4.5 miles from town. Only two designated sites on 109 total acres, or find/make your own spot in the dense woods. Park at the host residence and a short hike in is required. There is a strong 5G signal, and each site includes a fire pit and picnic table. The closest site has an outdoor shower. There are three miles of easy walking/biking trails through the woods. Salt River (off site) is less than a mile away and offers a popular kayak launch location, and an amazing destination just a little further down the road where you can drive in the river (see pics). Four Roses Distillery is .4 miles off site and within walking/ biking distance on Bondsmill Rd. The property is almost entirely wooded and borders the Norfolk Southern railway. Some locations are within 100yds of the railway, where you can see the train through the trees as it passes by. Other areas are much further away. Be warned! Lawrenceburg KY is known for it's Wildman Days Festival because of the high volume of Bigfoot sightings in the area, and there have been multiple, documented sightings on this property. Firewood available for a small fee upon request. Preview of sites by ATV tour *may* be available during daylight hours. There are several hiking trails onsite and plenty of woods to explore. ATVs or side by sides are welcome to be used on the main gravel roads and some designated areas of our property. There is plenty of wildlife around but no hunting is allowed. Our designated tent sites do have firepits and picnic tables. Our trek in sites do not have those options. The farm has a small playground, yard games, creeks, and a steep and rugged hiking trail that loops the mountain. We're also just 8 miles from the hiking trails at the Berea College Pinnacles, 8 miles to Owsley Fork Reservoir, 20 minutes to Anglin Falls, 12 miles to Berea, 35 minutes to Richmond, Ky, and a scenic hour to Red River Gorge. The southern perimeter of the property is all cliff line, so you feel truly remote. Other than that, you'll mostly hear the wind rustling trees, deer and critters making their way through the woods, and possibly a waterfall at certain times of the year.
