We stayed at Dunagan’s Meadow and had a WONDERFUL time. Tom and Judy are fantastic hosts. They make you feel like family. ❤️ We got the tour of their property and when we got to the meadow we saw them round up the cattle to put in the other pasture. The sheep were great as were the donkeys. The stars at night were beautiful! We will definitely come back. Thanks so much for an amazing long weekend trip.

In the process of planning another trip to the little slice of heaven. Absolutely gorgeous spot, spent all day swimming in the river. The bathroom was clean, the hosts were so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I’d check in with them when you get there- we were too excited and set up, & started swimming. They offered to drop us off at the start of the river which would’ve been very cool but it was too late in the day & we made the mistake of only booking a single night. I’d also put in Bowman’s landing into the GPS and not the listed coordinates.. that will position you across the river… Excited to come back in a few weeks!!

6 nights at Riverfront Santa Fe/Ichetucknee

We loved this hip camp. It is very secluded with a great view of the water. It was nice to have all the hookups and roof for protection. It made setting up and tearing down very easy. We enjoyed the quiet and did a little fishing, caught a few smaller fish. We would definitely recommend. Direction and check in very easy

2 nights at Bowman's Landing

Bowman’s is a beautifully secluded campground on the Santa Fe River. Filled with many tall trees, a canoe/kayak launch, and fishing, several small cabins overlook the river. Only two sites available for RV’s. Two very well maintained bathrooms with showers. Fire pits and picnic tables at each site. Bowman’s is well situated in Fort White close to at least three natural springs. Cons include a very narrow road/bridge leading to the campground and no dump station.

This is my second time staying here. I love the land, it’s so beautiful and spacious. Tom and Judy are very kind and always make me feel welcomed. This time I stayed next to the cave and it was so magical! Would definitely recommend this spot.

Weekend Trip to Quail Run Ranch

A beautiful property in some piney, scrub habitat. The campsite was quiet at night and very close to Shell Mound. The view of the sky was great! The only downside were the unrelenting No-see-ums in the evening hours.

3 nights at The Hatch Bend Hideaway RV Place

What a great location! The site was super clean and very level. We brought our boat and launched just down the road and left it at the dock for the weekend. Easy access to springs in both directions by boat. If you are looking for a bite on the river we tied up downtown and walked across the bike trail to burgers. Headed south if you turn down the Sante Fe there are a couple of restaurants in that direction too. Very quiet, decent service with Verizon, a place we will keep on our list for sure!

Weekend Trip to Riverfront Santa Fe/Ichetucknee

We loved our time at Jerry’s riverfront spot! The views were amazing and it was so peaceful. We kayaked the beautiful Santa Fe and Ichetucknee rivers, saw lots of wildlife and had a great view of the stars. We will definitely be back!

Glenn Farm

The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

Parking is allowed on site and set up is at your discretion. Campsite is about approximately 50x50 and includes use of outdoor composting toilet, picnic table, outdoor chairs, trash can with lid, outdoor hand washing area w/ water, and a nice sized fire ring. (Wood is available for your enjoyment and ease, but please only use what you need) Hosts are on site 24/7 for ease of making your stay comfortable and we will ensure all your needs are met in a timely fashion. This is PRIMITIVE camping site and would not be suitable for RV’s. Van camping is allowed and can hold up to three vans or cars. Small walking trails available behind the campsite. This campsite is not on any water. We do have a boat launch 5 minutes away: Lots of local places listed below! Local Highlights - Ginnie Springs, Blue Springs, Rum Island, Ichetucknee Springs, Ichetucknee River, Santa Fe River, Pink Flamingo, The Great Outdoors, Steakout, and more! The Bird Ranch

Parking is only available at the bottom of the driveway for tent campers. All tent sites are less than a 5 minute hike up the trails. There is plenty of firewood available after 3 hurricanes in a year's time. The Bird Ranch is 4 acres of peaceful nature. We have 3 pioneer sites (2 with fire pits), and one RV hook-up (30 Amp power and water) to choose from. We never really know what wildlife is wondering around or when they might pop up. Rest assure though; there are always birds singing, crickets chirping, frogs croaking, owls hooting, and we can even hear the neighboring pigs, chickens, cows, goats and dogs from time to time. I will take all that over city noise any day of the week! The Gofer Turtles are protected wildlife here, but please do not disturb ANY of the animals or their homes. We have had kids destroy a turtle's home before, so please be mindful. The property has trails, an open field for games, and plenty of day outings to do. There are 2 natural springs (Royal Springs and Little River Springs) off the Suwannee River that are each a 10-minute drive. Branford Springs and Troy Springs are within 20 minutes. You can float down the Ichetucknee River on an innertube (seasonal), catch a local rodeo just down Hwy 129 or take a 3 hour round trip bike ride on the Suwannee River Greenway. The Mystic Jungle Educational Facility is a quick 15 minutes up Hwy 129 towards Live Oak, where you can learn about their wild animals on a guided tour, but they are only open on Saturdays. Cedar Key is a quiet little town 1.5 hours away with cute shops and restaurants for a nice day trip ***(also very messed up from hurricanes last year, so no promises)***. They roll up the streets after sunset; but what a beautiful sunset! There are also a few horseback riding ranches within 20 minutes from the property and if you're really adventurous and want to ride a camel; Lonesome Chicken Camel Ranch is less than an hour away. Call ahead to make sure they are open. Please be courteous of your fellow campers and my neighbors, by adhering to a 10 pm noise maintenance.

The Convenient store is about 7 minutes away. There is access to boat ramp at Fowler’s Bluff. Manatee Springs state park is only 15 minutes from the property. You can float down the river at the popular Ginnie Springs, which is a 45 min drive away. Other popular places nearby are Devils Den and Cedar Key (famous for their amazing clam chowder!) These dirt roads are perfect for ATV’s, 4 wheelers or a side by side. There are also some trails for dirt bikes if you are so inclined. It’s a nice, secluded getaway to decompress and get some quality time with your loved ones, family, and friends. There is a nice wide pull through path around the main campsite that will make it easy to get in and out without having to back out. I also, have a 6x12 and 72 inches tall travel trailer available upon request.
