We purchased our 3.39 acres two years ago and all that was on it was a RV and lots of pine trees, palmettos, woods and a small pond in the front of the property. Over those two years we have turned it into our little piece of heaven. We've added two more RV hookups which our son parked his camper on one. We built a fully furnished cook shed and on the back side of it we have an enclosed fish cleaning area. The cook shed also has an enclosed eating area. In addition, we build a full size bath house / laundry room for the convenience of our campers. We cleared out the back of our property and had a large fish pond dug and it is actually spring fed. We have stocked it with all kinds of fish. We have a dock that goes out to the pond and you can stand and feed the fish. If you like to fish you can catch and release. Scallop Tyme RV Campground was once an abandoned camp covered in worthless Sand Pines. There was a cabin and sheds in the center surrounded by chain link fence topped with barbwire. The timber was donated and used to fuel nearby electric plants. Once the four acres was cleared and cleaned, the idea of a RV campground started.
During the early onset of Covid, my family remained in our adjacent camp because there was no Covid in the area and plenty of Covid at home. Cleaning and clearing the acreage gave us something to do. While cleaning the old, abandoned camp site inside the chain link fence; we found an old boat and motor, a Kawasaki motorcycle, and numerous civil war and Vietnam war memorabilia. The campground was opened in June 2020.

Ginnie Springs offers world class underwater cave diving -PADI license required. Boaters – Private boat ramp is 200 yards up the road on the Santa Fe, public boat ramps within 10 miles on the Santa Fe and Suwannee rivers.

Paddlers – Paddle the Santa Fe or Ichetucknee rivers from within the neighborhood, or if the time of year is right, venture up to the Ichetucknee State Park to paddle the head waters and north entrance. This is limited in season and numbers to keep the impact on the river to a minimum.
Swimmers – Swim the Santa Fe or Ichetucknee rivers from within the neighborhood via our 9 waterfront parks (6 Santa Fe, 3 Ichetucknee) or venture to either entrance of the Ichetucknee River State Park just a few miles away.
Nature lovers – Explore the unspoiled conservation areas within the neighborhood that can be hiked and explored. Setup a hammock and sit by the river and watch all your worries wash away, you may get to see the occasional manatee.
Whatever your passion, this campsite accommodates it with electric (50/30/15), water, picnic table, concrete firepit, clothesline and plenty of room to spread out. The neighborhood is golf-cart and UTV friendly and has lots of dirt roads to explore. The deer can be found quite easily every morning and evening while riding around and rarely run away from the vehicles.

Bike riding from the trail head at Keaton Beach boat ramp is a good way to get in some exercise and enjoy the natural Florida. Steinhatchee is 19 miles south of your location. Beach bums store is .5 miles from our site. Although hit by the hurricane last year, they are in the rebuild stage but still have all your essentials you may need, food truck, bait, fishing supplies, beer, ice, and many other essentials you may need to make your stay enjoyable.

Scallop Tyme RV Campground was once an abandoned camp covered in worthless Sand Pines. There was a cabin and sheds in the center surrounded by chain link fence topped with barbwire. The timber was donated and used to fuel nearby electric plants. Once the four acres was cleared and cleaned, the idea of a RV campground started.
During the early onset of Covid, my family remained in our adjacent camp because there was no Covid in the area and plenty of Covid at home. Cleaning and clearing the acreage gave us something to do. While cleaning the old, abandoned camp site inside the chain link fence; we found an old boat and motor, a Kawasaki motorcycle, and numerous civil war and Vietnam war memorabilia. The campground was opened in June 2020.

The night before we stayed at Seagrass hideaway was a nightmare. We were wild camping in Osceola National Forest when someone decided to go mudding in very loud vehicles next to us at 11pm at night. Luckily I had booked with Deb for the next night. The location was secure, private and felt safe which was just what we needed after the previous night. Property has a locked gate and felt very spacious. Will definitely be back if I’m ever doing the Florida adventure trail.

This is our third time coming to this site
since they had to rebuilt from the hurricane. You can't beat the location and the view. The hosts are very kind and the people that live in Perry. You will always get a wave and smile. Suggestions :
Lot would be more user friendly for bigger units if septic and water hookups were closer to where kayaks are located. Need extra long hookups where they are located which fortunately we did have.
Also a portable fire pit would make more sense than where located.
Again great spot thanks for hosting us!

We loved that it had a pole barn & concrete pad. It made the trip nice because it rained one afternoon...but having cover it didn't bother us. It is a great property. The river was really clear. There is a great dock & ladder to get in the water. ( it was a bit chilly, we didn't do that. ) But great for the summer.
Cell service isn't great, so download movies if you watch those at night.
We heard an owl at night, the stars were beautiful. Nice & quiet .... very relaxing.

This is a great property and opportunity to visit old Florida. It’s a perfect rural setting with little to no ambient noise while also within 30 minutes of all you could need and also a general store within 15. This a place to bring your family. Visit any of the amazing natural springs in the immediate area and don’t forget all desirable state parks along the Suwannee River Valley. Of most importance, Mr Stacey is an excellent host. He’s very flexible and can make just about anything work. He’ll make himself available as much or as little as you might need. He’s very crafty as well. Some of the projects he has going in for upcoming lodging is very impressive. Would like to give a special shout out to the shower house and toilet facilities—makes camping a ton better as my crew gets pretty dirty. We just live a few hours away hoping to return multiple times!! We live the river life!

Really liked staying here! Not only was the host “Deb” very attentive and responsive to my messages but arrival instructions and process couldn’t have been made easier honestly. The area is in a neighborhood so it feels very safe but at the same time you feel completely secluded and private once you’re in there. I absolutely no complaints about this stay at all! If I’m ever needing a spot to park my rv in this area in the future, this will absolutely be my go to! Thanks again for the hospitality!

We have reserved 4A River Camp multiple times during February and each time we have loved this beautiful and peaceful site! Being right on the banks of Santa Fe River is amazing! The site is spacious and private as well as being accessible to Ichetucknee Springs SP. We always enjoying canoeing, snorkeling, bicycling right from our camp.

Loved Bowman’s and will definitely go back! Site #2 was right next to the launch so it was easy to get our kayaks in the river. The site was tucked just enough away from the rest of the property that you had some quiet without feeling completely isolated. The hosts were kind and available to help. They have wood for purchase on site which was really nice. The indoor bathroom was a great feature especially with the hot shower. They also have a microwave and coffee maker in a communal space. Ichetucknee Springs park was only a ~10 min drive away too if you want to explore outside of camp.

This is a wonderful location. The host is very good at quickly communicating when you have a question and even though the site is next to a couple houses it doesn't feel like it at all because of the trees. (Close is a very broad term here) It's great for anyone with dogs, but beware of the sandburs all over if you let them free roam. Utilities are wonderful, very strong water pressure, clean water, clean power and properly working sewer connection as well as a nice quiet area. I extended my trip and may have extended longer if it wasn't already booked and I needed to move on anyway. Thanks again Deb!

1 night at Bowman's Landing
Absolutely fantastic hipcamp, this is was the exact reason why we love to hipcamp: connection, safety, and adventure. By far my favorite so far. The host was so lovely and immediately made this place feel safe and like home. From the thoughtful details like a tree swing and coffee station to the cozy cabin itself with a fire pit, we felt at home miles from our own. I will most definitely be back with my family and friends.

This place was amazing! Very peaceful place, with tons to do. They had a coffee bar with a community fridge, and a grill area with tons of options to use. Also the restroom area was very clean and they provided heaters or fans in there. There is a sand pile for the kids with tonka trucks to play, 2 swings around the grounds, boats, and my favorite part was the bicycles to use!! There is only 2 tents sites, we stayed on #2 which I recommend for a perfect view of the river. Also the cabins were really cool, especially the two in the woods away from thr river if you want to be secluded. The hosts were very friendly, offering tons of advice on the area, even told us to go across the river fkr hiking the war grounds to hunt for artifacts which we had no idea was there. I cant wait to go back!!

We had an amazing stay at Jamil’s cabin/treehouse and couldn’t recommend it more. Jamil was an incredibly responsive host, and the accommodations were comfortable, thoughtful, and beautifully set up. We especially loved the well-curated games and activities, which made it perfect for spending quality time with friends. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to come back
