Weekend Trip to Jack's Landing-Old Florida +Pool!

Wow! What an experience! The oak recolonization on this lakeside lot is so beautiful. The weather this time of year is perfect in the evening (though a bit warm in the day). You might not expect it, but despite all of the growth to the north along the I-4 corridor, it's pretty much dark-sky country to the south, so the stars can be beautiful; got some great pictures we wish we could post here. The neighborhood seemed mostly quiet, but there were a few "monster" trucks passing by on the road up the hill from time to time. Would definitely stay again.

1 night at Beautiful Orlando-Area Lake Camping

Short drive from universal studios. We were able to park right near the porta potty as I always have to make a run for it in the mornings. This place has so many birds! We saw a duck family, a big dancing sunbathing black loon? And a crane family! Made up of mom, dad and two fuzzy babies. This is an amazing place for bird watchers that's for sure. And no mosquitoes! We came at the end of March and would love to return someday. Thank you for sharing your property with us!!!

This was my second time staying at Relic Ranch. I definitely recommend this spot If you’re into primitive camping and if you want to get away for a few days next. The farm is a really nice feature for the kids to roam around and interact with the animals and the hosts are super nice and very welcoming. Totally recommend!

This was our first camping experience as a family and we loved it here! The farm is lovely, waking up to the sun rising over the lake was amazing. Our boys loved exploring the trails on the island, searching for alligators along the shore, and hanging out with the goats. It was great family bonding time and we couldn’t ask for a better location. Would 100% camp here again!

I was out on the lake—it was peaceful. Yet behind all that, there’s this wooded area just sitting there, full of potential. If they listed the property on Worldpackers, HelpX, and Workstay, they could bring in a crew of work-trade travelers and build out an entire mountain bike park in the woods. It’d be sick—all powered by people looking to trade labor for a place to stay. There are already some hippie types turning part of the land into a sustainable, organic farm. They could list that on WWOOF and grow it into something big. That old Airbnb building? Perfect for a farm-to-table restaurant. Bring in the guy with the smoker, use the produce from the farm, bass from the lake—bam, gluten-free, lake-to-table, farm-to-table cuisine. You’d have hang gliding, mountain biking, organic farming, all built and run by workstay folks. It’s a story people want to be part of. They could host RVers through Harvest Hosts too, share the whole story and let people experience it firsthand. If I owned that land, that’s what I’d do. You don’t need cash to get started—you just need people and a vision. I’d hire a promoter and say, “Fly your plane down to our airstrip, grab some BBQ, enjoy the trails, try hand gliding and eat fresh from the land.” Tell ’em: “We built our own Valmont-style bike park—powered by travelers and vision.” There are tons of people out there looking to build something real. That land is just waiting.

Best camping trip yet! Just got back today and already planning our next trip back. This was our first Hipcamp experience and it exceeding all expectations. This camp was amazing. The staff were all so welcoming and helpful. The camp is incredibly clean and well cared for. The goats were by far our families favorite part of the farm. The side by side tour was a hit too. They also have a great camp store with some essentials and beef from the farm. Can’t wait to go back!

Highly Recommend First the cons cause there are so few ..sketchy wifi but really when you want to get away not an issue. The Adirondack chairs would be better served as kindling for the firepit, did not feel like they would support my weight. So bring your own chairs! Little Scare E okie from the neighbors, set dogs a barking but did not run late! Was actually kinda funny! Think they're only weekenders anyway! Dark during the week. Everything else was wonderful! An amazing site by Black Lake not buggy at all well for March anyway. Grass well maintained, yet with the reeds and shrubs along the waterline; still gave it a wild feel! Far enough from the hosts house privacy was not an issue! Lots of sun solar station was very happy! Disney fireworks nightly @830! Magical. Great location close to everything in Orlando and Kissemme close to grocery stores! Circle K for when you need Ice! Plan on going back if Michael will have me. I hope I was a good guest. I tried to be as respectful as possible! My first HipCamp experience!!! Loved it!

Our property is designed to provide space for artists, musicians, and nature lovers to create and recharge. For those looking to immerse themselves in the outdoors, we offer primitive campsites where you can choose your own spot—whether it’s by the pond, under the oak trees, or nestled near the bamboo grove. For RV travelers, we have a 30AMP hookup site with water access located just behind the main house. While this site doesn’t include sewage, you’ll have access to a fully renovated communal bathroom complete with a toilet and bathtub. The sanctuary features unique spaces to inspire creativity, such as: • A peaceful on-site pond with fish. • Open fields for writing, painting, or meditating. • Large canopies for art and music activities. We also provide a selection of rentable musical instruments, including a piano, keyboard, cello, and guitar, to help bring your artistic visions to life. Our sanctuary is proudly 420-friendly and welcomes guests of all backgrounds, lifestyles, and beliefs, whether LGBTQ+ or from any spiritual or religious path. However, we ask that heavier substances or disruptive behaviors be avoided to maintain the peaceful atmosphere. Whether you’re here to camp, create, or simply reconnect with nature, we’re thrilled to share this sanctuary with you. Fiddlers Green RV Ranch

Learn more about this land: You will be staying at a horse ranch in central Florida where people camp with or without "their" or horses daily, weekly, or monthly. Please note: that we Do Not offer trail rides or pony rides on property, we can however direct you to a small facility very close by, that may be able to accommodate you. You would have to call at least a few days ahead to make arrangements. Detailed information for horseback riding is located on our website. Fiddlers Green RV Ranch in Altoona, Florida. Fiddlers Green is a former Mounted Police Training Ranch and is in park-like setting just at the southern edge of the Ocala National Forest but close by to many activities, shops and amenities. You will have the option of an available site for your length of stay, to camp under live oaks or in our field depending on your amperage service needs. Per Site Cost: (all sites have full hook-up of water, septic and 30 or 50 amp electric, fire-ring and a picnic table) and is for 2 adults and up to 4 children under 16, (each additional adult is $5.00 per night) max of 4 adults per site. Max of 2 vehicles per site, besides your rig. A few tent sites are also available. Amenities include: a single bath house, laundry and a recreation building with ping pong, TV area and table games. Office with small store. Gazebo over looking the lake, horseshoes, volleyball and basketball. There is a community firepit and charcoal grill in the picnic area. You can take a stroll along the small lake while enjoying birds, wildlife and horses. Horse accommodations: (paddocks and stalls) are available as well, please reach out to us directly. We have a covered and outdoor arena for horses to be lunged and/or trained. Coggins required upon arrival and before horses exit the trailer. Pet friendly: we have a dog park. Dogs must be on at least a 10ft leash and restrained at all times. Dogs are not to be left unattended outside at any time. If you are going to leave for an extended amount of time you need to take your dog with or find a doggie day care. We boarder the Ocala National Forest with it's 100 miles of trails for hiking, biking, fishing, OHV and horseback riding. Alexander Springs is the closest among many to snorkel, canoe and/or swim in 72* crystal clear water year round. Mt. Dora, Umatilla and Eustis are within 20 mins for restaurants, shops, golf and antiques, etc. If you have any questions your hosts will be happy to help. Choose a site to book - this may not be the actual site that you will have due to the booking calendar. You may be able to change once you arrive if other sites are available for your length of stay. Fiddlers Green reserves the right to change sites to accommodate more guests.
