Absolutely LOVED my six day stay at Touch of Heaven! Crystal and her family have done an amazing job with their beautiful, little homestead. My Dog, Sweetie, and I loved visiting the goats, Pigs (who had 4 piglets), chickens and Guinea fowl. What beauty and peace! I plan to come back in the Fall or Winter. FYI. The little RV was so clean and comfy, too.

This location is absolutely perfect to see all the beautiful springs in the area. Paula is a great host and gave us excellent advice on places to go. She was even nice enough to give us a ride up the river so we could kayak down to our car. The campsite has everything you need if you are a true camper. The space is limited and you are setting up on gravel so prepare for this if setting a. Tent. The space is still private and lush with beautiful tropical trees and foliage. We would definitely go back if in the area.

We loved camping at Alonda’s campsite. Nice shaded lot with easy access and hookups. There was outside dining and nice packed gravel which kept inside of camper clean. The amenities offered were great. We could use back deck by canal and also use of kayaks were a fun activity. We enjoyed a nice relaxing holiday weekend stay. Definitely would come back and stay again.

We loved our stay. It was great having the wood deck at this site with the picnic table. We got there too late on Saturday for the ranch tour but got to visit the goats and having the donkeys and horses visit our camp site each morning was nice. Rob and Mike were great hosts.

Weekend Trip to Touch of Heaven Camper

This is a very peaceful place to visit! Crystal is very welcoming, I was allowed to pet the baby goat that she brought with her to say hi :)) The camper is very cozy, surrounded by chickens, guinea fowl, by goats and pigs. You can have a campfire in the vicinity or to use the little grill that's available to use. There is a large tree by the camper and a picnic table underneath it where you can hide from the Florida sun. If you need to get away from civilization for a bit, this is the place to be! :-)

Our visit was awesome! Rob and Mike were delightful hosts, they went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great experience! Their property was beautiful! There were big shade trees everywhere! I loved the tour and enter acting with all the animals. The baby goats were the highlight of the tour! The on demand hot water showers were amazing along with the wash station for dishes! The Withlacoochee state trail was close and had easy access! I enjoyed Fort Cooper State Park. Walmart was about 20 minutes away if you have a rain day or if you needed anything. I cannot say enough good about this peaceful/relaxing escape! You must love animals like me, because the horses and donkeys are free roam during the day! That means they could come to your camp and get into your stuff. I didn’t mind, it was well worth it for me! I will be back!

Would definitely stay here again. Anne was super nice and the cabin was clean and furnished well. The site had everything we needed while we stayed to explore the rainbow river.

Weekend Trip to Manatee Landing Retreat

We booked the RV spot at Manatee Landing Retreat for Mother’s Day weekend, and even though the weather was mostly rainy and cloudy, it didn’t rain on our parade! In fact, having the place mostly to ourselves made it feel like our own private oasis. The tiki hut was a total game-changer—giving us shelter when the rain did come through, and a cozy place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. When the sun peeked out, we made the most of it with kayaking, bouncing on the trampoline, and exploring the beautiful area with our dogs, who absolutely loved it. Even with the clouds, the peaceful vibe and thoughtful amenities made it a weekend to remember. We can’t wait to come back—hopefully with a little more sunshine next time

Canopy over picnic table and an outdoor sofa made our trip so easy when the weather went ugly. There was a big grill and a lot of woods for cooking or just making fire. Bathroom was next to the camping site. Dish soap and sponge were there for us to clean our cooking utensils. Hot water shower is consistent, and good pressure.

Weekend Trip to Happy Campers Rescue Ranch

Very private and secluded. We had lots of fun. Friend watching a movie outside on the projector , roasting marshmallows by the fire , playing with the animals. A very much hip camp vibe ! We enjoyed it and will be back again !

Great site great location. Everything was as expected. The area is gorgeous and site was close to everything a person needed to do. I was there in the beginning of May and the deer flies were a pain in the ass but the area made up for the inconvenience

Very quiet campground with nice little walking loop. Currently upgrading bathrooms and shower house but the one that was open was very clean. No picnic table but we made due with tailgate for outside cooking. Nice relaxing weekend.

Marci's Magical Lakefront Oasis

Beautiful spot overlooking Lake Weir in The Ocala National Forest. Watch the otters play and count the many different birds that make this lake their home. Treat yourself sunsets every night as the sun disappears into the water and enjoy the awesome reflection of the moon as it sets on the lake. (Check the moonrise/moonset tables to see if there is a visible moon during your intended stay - it really is an incredible sight). We have an amazing outdoor shower, with hot and cold running water, overlooking the lake. The extra large soaking bathtub is available for your use for $20 per stay if there are not other campers at the time due to us only having one bathroom available. Great for relaxing, bathing kids, or a very romantic evening. Canoe, stand up paddle board and kayak available for your use at no charge. You can paddle to nearby Gator Joe's which is an awesome spot on the lake for great food, drinks, and live music. Electric and water hookup (garden hose) both sites. RV 30 amp electric hookup, as well as regular 15 amp electric hookup on hilltop site. Many trees on the property makes it tricky for large vehicles to maneuver, therefor we have a limit of 25 feet including tow vehicle. Dockside site has 15 amp hookup. We do have an adapter to connect to 30 amp hookup. It is closer to the house and bathroom than site 2 and has more shade and easy access to the dock. Pontoon boat rentals are available down the road. Being on the lake we do have mosquitos but they are mostly an issue at dusk and dawn for about an hour but we are out in nature so insect encounters of all kinds are to be expected. If there is a nice breeze, which is often the case, you can enjoy the sunset from the rocker loveseat at the edge of our dock. We also have citronella torches available for rent. We also offer a large bundle of firewood for $10. Campers MUST check in by 10 pm. We recommend arriving during daylight whenever possible. It is important you understand that our property is not in the wilderness. We are NOT a commercial campground. We have a couple of acres in a residential area and there are homes near the campsite. That being said, you will have complete privacy at your campsites as the two sites are on opposite ends of the property and you will not see me at all other than when you check in, unless you desire to do so. Both campsites face the lake however, and you may see some fisherman out there from time to time, but I guarantee you will see much more wildlife than people. Each site has its own fire pit. Our guests love this place because of the lake, the incredible sunsets and moonsets over the lake, and all the incredible wildlife we have here, as you can see from the reviews. Well behaved pets are welcome off leash as long as they are supervised and don't bother other campers. They are not allowed on the porches. Please pick up any mess that is in the path of foot traffic. There is a $20 pet fee per pet per stay. Add it under extras. Pet sitting is available for an additional charge. I'm a professional photographer with 30 years of experience. Please inquire if you are interested in having your portrait made at this incredible location. We are 20 minutes from world famous Silver Springs, 20 minutes from Ocala Drive-In Movie Theater that usually shows great films for both kids and adults, and 20 minutes from the Santos Trailhead that offers world class biking and hiking paths. Unfortunately, I cannot do anything about the people that come here that have not read the description, expecting a wilderness campground and choose to leave a negative review based on that but everyone that has read the description has loved it here and many return.

These beautiful pollinators have been on Earth about 175 million years from what we can gather from fossils. Beyond the splendor that would be lost from the world if monarch butterflies went extinct, there would be ripple effects in the environment. Monarchs share their habitat with many other species of insects and birds. The birds would lose a food source, and their decline is the proverbial “canary in the coal mine” for other pollinators. If other pollinators decline like monarchs, it could have impacts on the food that humans rely on. This year (2024) we hope to finally get the Monarch Butterfly put on the endangered species list and see them rebound in numbers. So when you stay here you are also making a contribution that provides a safe chemical free environment for these super pollinators to multiply once again. Spotted Dance Ranch

We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it.
