Not all campsites have water views, from the units, but none are more than 30 feet to the water…
We do allow cannabis smoking on our property, in the common areas outside of the tents and cabins.

Lakefront property is located in between Hawthorne and Interlachen out in the wooded countryside (decidedly rural) on a dead-end road as it turns to dirt -- usually very peaceful and quiet. Central location serves as a good base camp for day trips to the ocean beaches at either the Atlantic or the Gulf Coast, the manatees at various springs, or Ocala horse country. Variety of shops and restaurants are located in Gainesville to the west or Palatka to the east, both an easy drive on S.R. 20.
BOONDOCKING SITE: Must be self-contained and leave no trace. Accepting only one camping guest vehicle at a time. The homeowner property is fenced with drive-through wing gates, host will greet you upon arrival so you can choose your spot either in the shade or in the sun or somewhat in between as the sandy ground slopes gently to the private lake. Best for vans, SUVs, or those with car and tent. Please inquire regarding compact RVs -- due to overhanging branches of oak shade trees, and limited size of the 0..66 acre lot, cannot accommodate large RVs or travel trailers. Potable water available from the yard's garden hose, but cannot offer power, and there's no public restroom or dump station. Small bags of trash or two can go in our communal covered trash bin.
BUNKHOUSE OPTION: Charming dry-camp lakefront cottage (no running water) with basic electrical (cannot handle high-draw electrical devices like heaters or A/C units) has a van-life type camp toilet (bag #2, collect urine/#1; proper disposals supported by Host), jug of local spring water for drinking, bed options include a new twin mattress in upper sleeping loft and a new cot-width padded chaise lounge below (clean fitted bottom sheet and pillowcase provided per stay). Guests provide their own towels and toiletries. Some basic camping kitchen/household items provided.
Guests are welcome to use the homeowner Host's vintage rowboat, kayaks, communal firepit, and/or wooden dock. Or there's a small tire-rim firepit by the shorefront. Firewood bundle with kindling available for a small fee.
Not best property for traveling with pets, may be negotiable on a case-by-case basis, due to homeowner's dog (communicate directly with Host prior to booking). Guest pets would have to remain on tether at all times while on premises. Also, why care with gates must be practiced, such as securely latched and closed after going in or out, due to homeowner Host's dog.

30amp plugin and UV filtered water hookup. Class C or smaller preferred. This site backs up to the trail so, periodically you see a cyclist buzz by. Adjacent to RV pad is a raised/clean tent camping area with additional room for tables and chairs. The whole space is about 50ft x 50ft
Campsite B
“The Bus” is a retired 1978 Greyhound Tourbus. The cab remains untouched with all the vintage radios and switches. As for the rest…it’s essentially a queen size sleeping studio. Equipped with 2 small under mount refrigerators, a large toaster, 2 burner stove and hot water. Definitely went far out with this one but, it also has fun lighting and 100’s of vinyl records and amazing sound system. The windows are very thick and filter the natural daylight, so reading or jumping online (yes there is Internet) is very relaxing.

“The Preserve” is for those that just have a small tent and minor gear. Bike touring is popular in our area and we are a base camp for mid-journey adventures. Affordable, safe and refreshing….and back gate to the trail.
Our Indoor/Outdoor restroom is fully enclosed and plumbed with hot water shower and flushing toilet. The concrete structure is for all camp guests.

Lakefront property is located in between Hawthorne and Interlachen out in the wooded countryside (decidedly rural) on a dead-end road as it turns to dirt -- usually very peaceful and quiet. Central location serves as a good base camp for day trips to the ocean beaches at either the Atlantic or the Gulf Coast, the manatees at various springs, or Ocala horse country. Variety of shops and restaurants are located in Gainesville to the west or Palatka to the east, both an easy drive on S.R. 20.
BOONDOCKING SITE: Must be self-contained and leave no trace. Accepting only one camping guest vehicle at a time. The homeowner property is fenced with drive-through wing gates, host will greet you upon arrival so you can choose your spot either in the shade or in the sun or somewhat in between as the sandy ground slopes gently to the private lake. Best for vans, SUVs, or those with car and tent. Please inquire regarding compact RVs -- due to overhanging branches of oak shade trees, and limited size of the 0..66 acre lot, cannot accommodate large RVs or travel trailers. Potable water available from the yard's garden hose, but cannot offer power, and there's no public restroom or dump station. Small bags of trash or two can go in our communal covered trash bin.
BUNKHOUSE OPTION: Charming dry-camp lakefront cottage (no running water) with basic electrical (cannot handle high-draw electrical devices like heaters or A/C units) has a van-life type camp toilet (bag #2, collect urine/#1; proper disposals supported by Host), jug of local spring water for drinking, bed options include a new twin mattress in upper sleeping loft and a new cot-width padded chaise lounge below (clean fitted bottom sheet and pillowcase provided per stay). Guests provide their own towels and toiletries. Some basic camping kitchen/household items provided.
Guests are welcome to use the homeowner Host's vintage rowboat, kayaks, communal firepit, and/or wooden dock. Or there's a small tire-rim firepit by the shorefront. Firewood bundle with kindling available for a small fee.
Not best property for traveling with pets, may be negotiable on a case-by-case basis, due to homeowner's dog (communicate directly with Host prior to booking). “The Bus” is a retired 1978 Greyhound Tourbus. The cab remains untouched with all the vintage radios and switches. As for the rest…it’s essentially a queen size sleeping studio. Equipped with 2 small under mount refrigerators, a large toaster, 2 burner stove and hot water. Definitely went far out with this one but, it also has fun lighting and 100’s of vinyl records and amazing sound system. The windows are very thick and filter the natural daylight, so reading or jumping online (yes there is Internet) is very relaxing.

“The Preserve” is for those that just have a small tent and minor gear. Bike touring is popular in our area and we are a base camp for mid-journey adventures. Affordable, safe and refreshing….and back gate to the trail.
Our Indoor/Outdoor restroom is fully enclosed and plumbed with hot water shower and flushing toilet. The concrete structure is for all camp guests.

My two children (4yo and 7yo) and I spent three nights at the cottage and we are already thinking when we could go back!!! March weather was fantastic and the property was perfect for us so we had no need to explore anywhere else. The cottage itself had everything I/we needed (in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom) so my stay was stress free. When we first entered, there was music playing inside so it felt like we just returned home from running errands. The dried lavender in the bedroom was also a very nice little detail.
The owners were super friendly and accommodating. My kids connected with their granddaughter and were playing outside all day long. They were allowed to pick fresh eggs from the chicken coop, run around freely and just be kids which I really appreciate. I walked around barefoot, cooked on the grill, we ate outside, we made fire at night and in the mornings I drank coffee on the steps watching butterflies and listening to birds chirping. I feel recharged, kids have new memories and we cannot wait to visit again. Our new happy place - Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Serene Forested Blueberry Farm
Stayed in Little Lulu for a paddling trip on the Ocklawaha. The property is so convenient for exploring Ocala. The camper is so cute, clean and comfortable. Cassandra is such a wonderful host and has done such a great job with all the details and thoughtful touches. Can't wait to visit again soon.

Nick and his wife were incredible hosts and the site was beautiful. Every morning you step out to the sun rising over the lake view at the end of their property; stunning! We encountered cold weather and they gave us a space heater and extra blankets to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this place; great site, great hosts.

Nothing but peace and serenity at this place. Great hosts, very welcoming, great communication and overall just a beautiful property. Plenty of campers to choose from, I stayed in the Beehive. Very quaint and charming, vintage vibes, and all the amenities you need. I highly recommend this place as a little getaway to recharge and breathe in the country air.

I had another amazing stay at the Serene Forested Blueberry Farm this weekend! As always, I felt right at home in the peaceful, forested surroundings. I especially loved that they provided ingredients for s’mores—such a thoughtful touch. The hosts are always incredibly friendly, and the whole experience is truly worth it. I can’t wait to come back!

1 night at Serene Forested Blueberry Farm
What a gorgeous oasis! The stay was absolutely perfect- I stayed in the Little LuLu and she was a gem! Perfect sitting area, comfy bed, full kitchen and a cute lil ' yard' with seating and a fire pit. Just steps away- an outdoor shower and the cutest chicken along with a very friendly cat. I'd give this stay a 10/10 and can't wait to come back.
I got to chat with the owners and learned more about the different trailers and left with an armful of fresh eggs.

Cassandra and her husband are some of the kindest people I have ever met. I had a healing experience on the property, the place they had built as a safe space for all. I found community there. Whenever there was a problem, they came to fix it. Things weren’t perfect, nothing is ever perfect. But I felt safe and comfortable and cared for while I was there.
If you stay there, keep your mind and heart open. Accept the community and love. Get eggs from the chickens every morning. Bask in the sunlight in the outdoor shower. Talk to your neighbors.
Do not go if you’re looking for a 5 star, soulless hotel that just provides you comfort for profit.
I can’t wait to one day go back and bask in that love and community again.
I have never left a review for anything before. I will never give a corporation 5 stars for cleanliness and “perfection.” I’ve worked at hotels. I’ve heard the complaints.
I will give these beautiful people 5 stars for giving me a home when I had none. They don’t do it for the money, they do it for the love. It’s very rare to find in this world and it was exactly what I needed. <3

Great place to get away for the weekend, listing was exactly as described. Gorgeous morning view off the water and comfy firepit for the evenings/nights. Where to go
Haw Creek Preserve State Park
Abutting the southern part of Crescent Lake, Haw Creek Preserve State Park surrounds a blackwater creek that attracts paddlers wanting to take in views of the surrounding Florida cypress swamp. It's also a great place for birdwatching, particularly in the winter, when migratory birds flock to the area from the cooler north.
Dunns Creek Wildlife Management Area
Encompassing over 3,000 acres on the eastern part of Duns Creek, this preserved area is full of wildlife, ranging from frogs and lizards to white-tailed deer and bobcats. Birders bring your binoculars for a chance to spot yellow-crowned night herons, barred owls, and red-shouldered hawks. There are also trails for walking, cycling, and horseback riding, and tent camping is permitted.
Ocala National Forest
Encompassing over 400,000 acres, the Ocala National Forest is a prime spot for fishing, swimming, and paddling, with hundreds of lakes to choose from (not to mention four natural springs). It's also a great place for land-based recreation, with miles of trails, many of which are mountain biker- and equestrian-friendly. Camping options range from developed campgrounds to Civilian Conservation Corps cabins.
When to go
Crescent Lake is popular year-round, though you'll find the best temperatures for swimming between late spring and early fall, when the weather is at its warmest. The rainiest months are from June through August, tapering off in September. Come in October for warm-weather camping with a lower risk of tropical storms. If you're coming to fish, your best bet is to come in late spring or early summer during the spawning season.
