We are a small 50 acre ranch in the panhandle of Florida. Most of our property is pasture. Our mile-long driveway is lined with Oak Trees. We also have a few acres of Mayhaw trees in a seasonal pond. We raise Miniature Tennessee Fainting Goats to sell as family pets. We pasture a half dozen sheep for wool, live with several Peafowl for beauty and entertainment, and a couple dozen Guinee Fowl for pest control and more entertainment. A hundred and twenty-five chickens supply us with plenty of eggs. A dozen ducks offer up a few eggs a day as well. You can pet the goats and Baboy, our Potbellied pig. Walking in the pastures offers a glimpse at the local variety of flowers, birds, and insect life. Stay away from the dozen bee hives we watch over. This is a very quiet and welcoming place. We do have three Great Pyrenees gradian dogs roaming the property at night. They are mostly quiet but can occasionally spend a bit of the night barking and chasing predictors. Coyotes, foxes, and raccoons are better just off the property. Hang out, relax, read, and feed the goats. Monticello has some great restaurants, antique shops, a well-equipped sporting goods store, and a hardware store. If you are a cyclist, there are hundreds of miles of clay roads through the North Florida and South Georgia countryside. There are very few cars and lots of views. We have some routes to share. The clear-water spring-fed Wacissa River is nearby. Bring your own canoe or kayak, or rent one from one of the businesses at the head of the river. The Aucilla River is also nearby. Weekend Trip to Magnolias by the Bay RV Site & Dock

This is a hidden gem!! The canopy of trees smells so nice and adds a cool, breezy shade when camping! The spot is very convenient, yet private and very well maintained. There's a bench for sipping coffee while looking at the ocean, a big hammock hanging in the trees and a firepit with plenty of chairs as well as a picnic table! Overall, a wonderful place...directly across from the water and the use of their private dock is a dream!!! Planning to stay longer next time!!!

Mark and Teresa have a great site. It was easy access and level. We enjoyed the quietness and plenty of room for the dog to roam. They are great host and met us to make sure we got set and hooked up to the power and water. We will come again !!! A

We actually stayed at site 1 as it was easier to turn the van to use the hook-ups. The location was great. It was close to town and local amenities. The site was flat and quiet. Would definitely use again when in the area.

We loved it here! Paved roads, two pools, it was so peaceful and quiet. The beach was only 5 minutes away. We did our laundry in town and the laundry mat was very clean! We plan to stay here again!

Gorgeous land! Loved camping hear and being around the animals. Lindsay was very communicative and friendly to make sure we were comfortable and prepared for the cold weather. Only downfall was no sewer hookups and no shower available. Would definately come back!

Incredible horse farm with vast fields and beautiful old live oaks, sweet horses and great photo opportunities. Restful, safe place to stay. Hosts were very accommodating. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of whinnies in the morning. We also enjoyed the Red Shed pub down the corner.

Wonderful place! The concrete pad and grass is nice and wide so you don’t feel like you’re on top of your neighbor. It’s not a huge complex so the whole place is quiet and easy to walk your dogs around in. People were friendly. Although we didn’t use the pools or outdoor kitchen, they were nice. We will definitely be back again. It was me and my husband with our two 40 lb dogs, a 41’ motorhome with a tow vehicle.

What a lovely location! Robert was helpful and responded quickly. The site is beautiful with many thoughtful additions to make it homey and enjoyable. As others have mentioned, there is road noise but you get used to it and it’s such a nice location that it’s worth it.

This was an amazing overnight stop! So happy we opted for this and not a traditional campground. Horses and great hosts! Try Backwoods Crossing for dinner if you have time.

Loved our stay at Twisted Oak Country Retreat! Teresa and Mark Kessler were the most gracious of hosts. We had potable water and electric, plus a serene, peaceful farm pasture setting. Recommend this spot for all traveling through or to the Monticello, FL area.
