Welcome to Malakai campgrounds different by design 🏕 I purchased this land several years ago after a loss of a child a daughter her named was (little jo) JoLisa Marie Roadcap , it was a life changing moment, teaching me that family and enjoying of life is what it all about... so I want to welcome you here to Malakai for a peaceful and relaxing time, it's even a place that may help you heal from life hardships... At 5:30 just as the Sun comes up it is time for you to go out on to the deck and listen to the birds song 🎵 . As the Sun starts to rise on a new day ✨️ dozens of species of birds from the Great American Bald Eagle , To the endangered woodpecker, The blue herrings, bluebirds(we have mating pair that comes every year) blue jays, mocking birds, doves and several other species and occasionally a couple small black bears like walking through, we want you to have a peaceful and relaxing stay here while you visit everything, here at Garson Point were several species of carnivorous plants grow wild and our beaches have much to offer. It's official -- after 4 years of politics we are officially a park and a preserve.....9 acres of 🚶‍♂️ trails 👣 we are still constructing trails by hand I believe this place has a spiritual strength to people of all nations History of our location Count De Galvez awarded a land grant on Garcon Point to Antonio Garzon following his 1781 Siege of Pensacola in consideration of “his good services rendered as an interpreter to the Indians of Pensacola." The grant was held for 35 years before Maria Garzon, who survived husband Antonio, sold the land they called Garzon’s Point to Joseph (Jose) Bonifay. The land uses were favorable for cattle grazing and turpentining through the 1800s. Many more pioneer families moved into the area and began their own business in the booming industrial opportunities of western Florida. It came to be known as Yellow River Marsh State Buffer Preserve on June 12, 2000, when it was purchased by the state of Florida to protect rare and environmentally sensitive lands, plants and animals. Through generous donations, Preservation 2000 and the Florida Forever Program, more land was added to protect contiguous habitat of the Garcon Ecosystem. Today Yellow River Marsh Preserve State Park provides recreational opportunities for hiking and nature study along the Great Florida Birding Trail among rare and endemic plant species and within one of Florida’s oldest multi-cultural frontiers. The preserve is located in Santa Rosa County on Garcon Point, which separates Escambia Bay from Blackwater Bay. Nearly 20 rare and endangered species of plants 🪴 and animals make their homes along the bay and its wet prairies, dome swamps and flatwoods.

Tallahassee, FL · 5 sites · Tents, RVs, Lodging
Goat House Farm is a 501(c)3 owned micro-farm in a rural area of Tallahassee on the beautiful Lake Talquin. The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible. As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature's blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits. Our primary program is to serve area youth with agricultural education and the opportunities to work with our goats. All proceeds from bookings go toward our programming. Please note that February and March is transition time on the farm when we are planting new pastures and working on projects so photos might be different during those 2 months! It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. To support that endeavor, we sell specialty cottage goods and natural goat milk products. We also sell raw goat milk (for pet consumption only, as per Florida law - Master Feed License #ZOO406).

Stay comfortable inside our glamping tent with an air conditioner, and an electric fireplace! (We have a website. A google search "Paradise Gardens Westville Florida" will help with that). Elevated on a 20x28 wood deck, surrounded by lush landscaping and many extras, this campsite is less than an hour from lakes, rivers, natural springs, and the famous Emerald Coast. Roam the small fruit and vegetable gardens, where, depending on the season, you can pick grapes and other berries, lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit, or vegetables like tomatoes, okra, peppers, or squash. Whether you're seeking a romantic escape for two or a family adventure, this glamping haven provides something for everyone. Roast marshmallows over the fire pit, relax in a hammock swing, grill your favorite meal on the bbq, or lay back in the bell tent comfy queen bed while enjoying the AC. If you are looking for an experience, and not just some patch of dirt to camp on, Paradise Gardens is for you. Glamping is the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors without having the hassle of hauling your own gear around. Walk the 25 acres amongst some of the oldest pine trees in Northwest Florida. Take the diameter of a pine tree and multiply by 5 and that tells you the approximate age. Given that some of these trees are between 3 and 5 feet wide, know that when they were saplings, Thomas Edison invented his light bulb, Abraham Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address, and some are old enough to have been there when Jefferson penned the draft of the Declaration of Independence. Beyond the campsite, you can explore the nearby white sand beaches. See the natural springs of Ponce DeLeon, less than 15 minutes away. Or do other activities like swimming, fishing, and hiking. Amenities: 16.4 foot diameter furnished bell tent on a 20x28 elevated wooden deck (3 steps). Queen bed plus couch and small cot, sleeps 2 adults and 2 children.
