We have a beautiful spot where you will not see any neighbors so it is peaceful and private with gorgeous 360-degree views. It is also very safe! Bask in nature, quiet, and privacy! In summer there is a 3-night minimum for the cabin and dome. Occasionally a two day midweek will pop up on the schedule last minute. To see correct pricing, enter your dates as they can fluctuate with holidays, weekends. Prices are decreased midweek. There is no indoor shower, but we do have a rustic outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Tent space We have a small orchard in front of the Nopal Studio. There is room for two tent sites. No camp fires are allowed in the orchard. If it is winter time, we do have a fire ring in the fig tree picnic area, as well as a propane BBQ. The bathroom is shared with the cabins. We have farm animals and dogs which can be loud. The dogs chase squirrels and bark maniacally, and the ducks quack at sunrise, like, lots! There are also spiders, wasps, bees, rattlesnakes etc!! Love creek sanctuary was founded in 2016. It all started with Stu the steer and his best friend Petey the goat, from there we have rescued over 90 animals, 45 make their home here at the sanctuary. Our camping areas are fenced from the animals but you are free to explore our 12 acres and interact with the animals during your stay here. We ask that children under 10 stay outside the animal areas and children over 10 are accompanied by a grownup. We have plenty of art and child friendly activities, just ask and we can set you up. We have a no dog policy because the chickens and birds are free ranging, unfortunately we have had several bad experiences with dogs attacking the birds and other animals. If you have a dog that has been around farm animals and is well behaved, let's talk about it. We have 5 dogs so the birds have NO FEAR of them. ---- We are a working farm - PLEASE READ----- There are donkeys, roosters, dogs and peacocks that make noise, sometimes at night and always early in the morning. Please be aware that you may hear the donkeys bray (usually lasts about 30 seconds), roosters crow, guinea fowl chirp. It is startling and will wake you up. We do our best to keep the dogs hushed but we cannot stop the donkeys, roosters and peacocks from doing their thing. If you are a light sleeper, please bring earplugs or select another wonderful Hipcamp in our area, thank you! In addition to the interesting sounds you will hear, you will encounter dirt, poop and spiders. Since we are a working farm, things get dirty. We spray all high traffic surfaces twice a day but things get dirty and when it rains it is muddy. Please plan accordingly. We are centrally located between Grass Valley and Auburn, giving you access to endless recreational activities, wineries, breweries and restaurants. We have 50 or so rescued farm animals, you can interact with our pig Hank, Mojo the goat or Teddy the alpaca. NOTE: Starting Memorial Day each year, we have replaced all of our wood fire pits with gas fire pits. We have increased our prices to help cover the costs of propane. Thank you for choosing us!

At this point you may camp in the meadow next to the shed or you may proceed to the next meadow over to the left (follow red arrows and look for umbrellas). We normally only have one site occupied per evening. Ocaisonally two sites will be occupied. The sites are very private and quiet as this is a large, private ranch. You can park close to your tent site. 2WD / 4WD access weather permitting. We offer 3 sites in a large meadow area. Max of 4 persons per site. RV's welcome but we do not have hookups. RV's will be parked next to our barns surrounded by pear orchards. Fresh drinking water is available in the tent meadow area. Hot showers are now available at $10 extra per nite per site. A gas BBQ is now available at a common area. Please don't move the BBQ. Deer, wild turkeys, geese aplenty. Ample walking opportunities on our ranch and wild forestlands and amazing granite rock outcrops. Visit the South Fork of the American River (you can raft in summer!) Hunt for old gold mines on our place and, maybe, find some new ones! Go wine tasting very close by (Lava Cap, Madrone, Boeger) and visit Sutter's Mill in Coloma, where gold was discovered back in 1848.

Outside is a propane bbq with two side burners for your use. There is one bedroom with a full bed and in the living room is a trundle bed that converts to two twins. We have installed hardwood laminate flooring throughout guesthouse; some of the pictures show the prior cement floor. There is wifi, Verizon and At&t get good reception.  We use our phones for internet and streaming.  There is a 50 inch TV and dvd player. Bring your own hardware/cords if you want to stream from your phone.   We have goats  if you would like to feed or with. My wife and I live on the property in a house about 200 feet away. You will have as much privacy/interaction as you desire.  Our garage is attached to the guesthouse,  so I may need to access it occasionally during your stay.  We also travel so you may have the property to yourself. We do have two dogs on the property. The Australian healeris very friendly. The Anatolian shepherd is a watch dog so he will bark at you upon arrival and then settle down and leave you alone. You may hear him barking at night at any moving wildlife (deer, turkey, etc.). The last 4.5 miles of the drive to the property is on a winding road.  Please drive carefully.

There is lots of room to walk or run around. A Treehouse is available for kids to play in, a trampoline to jump on, plus we have a 17 foot high swing for kids and adults alike! You can walk the property to observe the horses, or sign up for a special horse, tractor, or welding experience. Come camp in a very quiet and safe horse and farming area. We are near the end of a dead-end road. Our camping sites are somewhat private, some with more shade and others with more mid-day sun. We specialize in "Horse Experiences" tailored to your level of comfort and needs. None of the horse experiences listed on our site require any prior experience with horses. We will make sure you are safe and comfortable while working with the horses. *NOTE: Experiences are not available on Sundays (our sabbath day). We can fit them in on Saturday afternoon/evening for Saturday-night campers, or Monday morning for Sunday-night campers. We have a private bathroom with flush toilet and sink. Summertime brings hot days and (usually) cool nights to our area. It is not uncommon to experience 100 degree days in June, July and August. Most evenings cool down, thanks to the Delta Breeze, to around 60-70 degrees overnight. Wintertime brings cooler daytime temps (50-60 degrees) and colder night temps (30-40 degrees). We are located about 10 minutes from the Galt area, which has a large variety of Fast-food, as well as several nicer restaurants. There is also a Wal-Mart (with groceries) and a nice Supermarket. We are about 6 miles from 2 country stores in Herald and Wilton (with gas station). Sites accommodate up to 6 people, and you can add up to 2 more for an additional fee. If you need more than 8 people, then consider booking 2 or more sites. With horses and the activities we do with them, dogs are not allowed.

We have a no dog policy because the chickens and birds are free ranging, unfortunately we have had several bad experiences with dogs attacking the birds and other animals. If you have a dog that has been around farm animals and is well behaved, let's talk about it. We have 5 dogs so the birds have NO FEAR of them. ---- We are a working farm - PLEASE READ----- There are donkeys, roosters, dogs and peacocks that make noise, sometimes at night and always early in the morning. Please be aware that you may hear the donkeys bray (usually lasts about 30 seconds), roosters crow, guinea fowl chirp. It is startling and will wake you up. We do our best to keep the dogs hushed but we cannot stop the donkeys, roosters and peacocks from doing their thing. If you are a light sleeper, please bring earplugs or select another wonderful Hipcamp in our area, thank you! In addition to the interesting sounds you will hear, you will encounter dirt, poop and spiders. Since we are a working farm, things get dirty. We spray all high traffic surfaces twice a day but things get dirty and when it rains it is muddy. Please plan accordingly. We are centrally located between Grass Valley and Auburn, giving you access to endless recreational activities, wineries, breweries and restaurants. We have 50 or so rescued farm animals, you can interact with our pig Hank, Mojo the goat or Teddy the alpaca. There is wifi, Verizon and At&t get good reception.  We use our phones for internet and streaming.  There is a 50 inch TV and dvd player. Bring your own hardware/cords if you want to stream from your phone.   We have goats  if you would like to feed or with. My wife and I live on the property in a house about 200 feet away. You will have as much privacy/interaction as you desire.  Our garage is attached to the guesthouse,  so I may need to access it occasionally during your stay.  We also travel so you may have the property to yourself. We do have two dogs on the property. The Australian healeris very friendly. The Anatolian shepherd is a watch dog so he will bark at you upon arrival and then settle down and leave you alone. You may hear him barking at night at any moving wildlife (deer, turkey, etc.). The last 4.5 miles of the drive to the property is on a winding road.  Please drive carefully.

We specialize in "Horse Experiences" tailored to your level of comfort and needs. None of the horse experiences listed on our site require any prior experience with horses. We will make sure you are safe and comfortable while working with the horses. *NOTE: Experiences are not available on Sundays (our sabbath day). We can fit them in on Saturday afternoon/evening for Saturday-night campers, or Monday morning for Sunday-night campers. We have a private bathroom with flush toilet and sink. I had a wonderful stay here. The silence, stars, multitude of birds (including Sandhill Cranes!), water, and joyful farm animals were restorative for my soul. The rustic and charming cabin was delightful with a window view of splendid sunsets, cool art and stylistic decor, an efficient heater, and a spacious bathtub. Wow what an absolutely beautiful property. Rachel and Jon are very kind and helpful. We enjoyed a few hours of hiking around the property. Loved seeing so much wild life and the sweet cows that graze around the property. I can see why summer would be a more enjoyable time to visit. We stayed in cabin # 2 and although a very beautiful spot and cabin, For the $480 for 2 nights price I was surprised there wasn’t sheets/blankets or a propane stove or bbq or some way to cook food. so make sure you bring anything necessary to cook food and linens and blankets for the bed. There is a fire pit outside but no grill or way to cook food. It does have a wood stove inside as a heat source so make sure you also bring firewood especially in the colder months.

This place is special. If you’re looking to get up close with herds of cattle, alpaca, horses, mules, farm dogs, geese and a massive pig this is the spot. Be prepared for lots of night noises- the animals talked all night long. We had great weather and the place to ourselves which was a treat but this farm would be great for groups. Our dog was off leash running with the farm dogs most of the time- and you could smell it on her. Alan’s dogs were very gentle, but they have free range. There was also a comically large pig wandering about. If Alan asks if you want to feed the herd, say yes! We witnessed a minutes-old calf getting up on her feet, while we slinging hay. It was a very cool experience. We would definitely come back for a visit.

We had a great time camping here and interacting with the farm animals. Lots of room to set up our tent and park at the site, and they supplied a picnic table and fire cage. We enjoyed seeing and hearing the trains go by and the roosters crowing (may be too loud for some). Hosts were friendly and helpful.

We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s birthday with our 9-month-old, and it was such a wonderful experience. We loved that we could upgrade provisions, we used the propane tank for the fire pit and the pour-over coffee setup, which came with freshly roasted beans (amazing!). The whole place has this relaxing, no-nonsense vibe that we really appreciated. We went during the fall, and it was so beautiful seeing the vines changing color. The electric blanket made our night cozy and comfortable even when it got chilly. Aaron was outstanding. His hospitality, knowledge, and genuine passion for his craft really stood out. We enjoyed wine tasting, hanging out in the “vincade,” and my husband watched a bit of Monday Night Football! The wine was fantastic, and we were so impressed we ended up joining the wine club. The yurt was spacious and comfy, the bed was great, and there was plenty of room for our daughter to crawl around. The portapotty was clean, and everything felt thoughtfully maintained. Just an overall relaxing, memorable trip. Can’t wait to come back!

I am writing this review to warn everyone that there is no longer a tent/yurt set up at Lovers Creek. When I asked the man about it, he said that a guest had brought the tent it wasn't included in the site, which is a lie if you look at all the reviews and pics there used to be a tent that stayed on the wooden platform. Luckily I brought my tent just in case so we didn't need to leave. The road getting onto his property is very narrow and beautiful and I wouldn't have been comfortable taking my car, I was glad to have a truck. The restroom is down at the "entrance" and a 10 min walk to the Lovers Creek site. We took the truck each time. There were cute animals to see on the property. Roads are very dusty! The best part about this place and the main reason I might come back is for the privacy. After check in, no one bothered us and the nearest campsite maybe 500 feet away across the other side.

As a solo female camper, I couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming or unforgettable experience. The ranch itself stretches across 300 acres of pure peace and wide-open beauty—complete with cows, donkeys, and even a sweet little calf that stole my heart (and got its bottle from me!). The mornings—or, more accurately, the very early mornings—were accompanied by peacocks and roosters who seem to think 3:30 AM is sunrise. Instead of being annoyed, I laughed every time. It’s part of the ranch’s charm: nature doing whatever nature wants. The highlight of my stay was joining the host to feed the cattle. I never realized how vocal cows could be until I was surrounded by a chorus of them, each with their own personality and voice. It was grounding, beautiful, and completely mesmerizing. If you’re craving solitude, connection with animals, and a slice of real country life, this place is a must. It’s safe, peaceful, and full of small, magical moments that remind you how good it feels to slow down and just be.

Jane's land is simply beautiful. We stayed at campsite 2 which was across the street from the farm and orchard in the tall pine trees. In mid October the weather was mostly sunny and warm during the day and lightly chilly at night. The camping areas in the forest are on a hill with a slight grade. I think site 4 may be a little more level and tucked away. We slept in our vehicles so no comment for tents, but it is uneven. There are super clean porta potties at the campsites. We had the area to ourselves on a Monday-Wednesday. Lots of trees for hammock hanging, soft pine covered earth, lots of fallen pine cones of all types. They are big and fall and could hurt so be wary of the sounds. It is by the road so there are some sounds, but not much especially in the evening hours. One evening we did see two tarantulas. Only other animals sighted were a hare, various birds and insects. The pie shop is cute and available to campers most days if they are busy baking. the mini pies and cupcakes are beautiful and delicious. Friendly hosts. Would return!

This was a perfect camping spot for my overnights in the area - it was safe, good directions, clean, quiet (except for the sweet roosters and nearby train, which were not bothersome at all!) and pleasant with a nice sunrise view. It was an added bonus to have access to a real toilet with running water. I myself was super happy to be the only one there and to be able to walk my dogs about and to not have to share the (large) open space with anyone else! I would stay here again (and plan to if possible) in a heartbeat.

We overall enjoyed camping at this very private orchard! There was a pond right next to us! We saw lots of wild animals including a flock of quails, deer, ducks, and turkeys! The showers were extra charge but we did enjoy the warm water and nice shower after being out in the wilderness. Only complaint is that the toilet and shower room has two big windows that do not have any privacy covering so we felt exposed. Also the door to the laundry room didn’t close all the way so someone could accidentally walk in on you while you’re doing your business or showering. We just ended up changing in the shower which at least had curtains. Otherwise, nice camping spot!

Our ranch is 15 acres total including my private residence. The terrain is rolling foothills with stunning views of Lake Camanche and the Sierra Nevada mountain range. We have about 600 Olive trees on the property that we harvest every year to make our Lavanda Cresta Olive Oil and products. The area offers a host of activities including water sports on the many surrounding lakes and rivers, wine tasting in the Lodi Wine Region and Shenandoah Valley Wine Region, both offering hundreds of wineries to enjoy new and your favorite wines. For the more adventurous, Yosemite is about a three hour drive away. Come and enjoy the Calaveras County Motherload Region!
