Good Stay, Needs Better Upkeep
We had mixed feelings about our stay. There were several thoughtful touches we appreciated. The WiFi and TV worked great, and having Hulu and Netflix was nice for relaxing at night. The cart was extremely convenient for bringing our belongings to and from the dome. There were also plenty of extra blankets, seasonings for cooking, a charged flashlight, and a new sponge. The lake was also within walking distance.
Unfortunately, there were some cleanliness and maintenance issues. We found blonde hairs in the bedding even though everyone in our group has black hair, as well as dog fur on the bed. We also had bugs crawling on us while in bed. This was our first time glamping, so we’re not sure how much of the bug situation is unavoidable.
Our biggest issue was the upstairs AC leaking. We had to use bowls to catch the water, constantly empty them, and clean up the leak. Eventually we stopped using that AC, which made the dome pretty hot on our second day. Having a bucket available would’ve made this much easier.
The bathroom and shower doors also had broken/missing handles, making them difficult to open.
Overall, we enjoyed the amenities and thoughtful additions, but better cleaning and a few maintenance fixes would have made our stay much more enjoyable.
