Our property is lakeside at Rollins Lake In Colfax and the lake is FULL! Please read entire listing before booking. We live on over 30 private, beautiful acres with footpath access to Rollins Lake. (3 minute walk from the dome or house, and 10-15 minutes from the cabin) where most summer days here, are spent swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing ect., down at the water. Please note the Cabin is set on a seasonal CANNABIS garden. All three sites are vacation spots with AC and WIFI, not just simple accommodations, but experiences. This will be your memorable stay for the year! The remarkable property is very hilly with pines and oaks. You can follow our driveway to the bottom and access the beginning of The Bear River which has a nice hiking trail alongside it or drive 8 minutes to the nearest boat ramp and 10 minutes to the town of Colfax where you will find gas, groceries, and restaurants. 10 minutes to Intersate 80 in Colfax. Feels far away, yet close to services and the interstate. We have a beautiful spot where you will not see any neighbors, so it is peaceful and private with gorgeous 360-degree views. It is also very safe! Bask in nature, quiet, and privacy! You can hoot and holler and have a great time! In summer there is a 3-night minimum for the cabin and dome. Occasionally a two day midweek will pop up on the schedule last minute. To see correct pricing, enter your dates and number of adventurers, as they can fluctuate with holidays, weekends. Prices are decreased midweek. We have 3 accommodations on the property -A GUEST SUITE (lakeside), up to 5 people. -A CABIN (15 min walk or 3 min drive/5 min walk, up to 4 people. -A GLAMPING DOME with an additional tent site (lakeside)! Up to 6 people. We have fishing boat, kayaks, and paddle boards for rent. You book, and we will deliver you and the equipment to the water! If you want an epic stay in the forest, private and away from others, this is your place. Also close to Grass Valley (15min), Nevada City (20 min), Colfax (less than 10), Chicago Park Store (5min)

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE BOOKING- Experience the ultimate glamping getaway at our luxurious dome nestled lakeside by the enchanting Rollins Lake in Northern California. Whether you're seeking a romantic escape for couples or a family adventure, this dome has it all for an unforgettable vacation. Book now and experience the beauty of Rollins Lake and the serenity of Northern California. I won't lie, this place is amazing! Steps to Rollins Lake on your very own private path. It has all the comforts, without sacrificing the "glamping" feel. SCENIC VIEWS AND PRIVACY- Step outside onto the expansive deck with deck seating and a picnic table,perfect for outdoor dining while taking in the breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding forest. Privacy is paramount here, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful retreat. Parking and Road- Off the main driveway there is a short gravel road you take to the dome. It is a couple hundred feet long and then you need to turn around. If you are not a confident driver or are concerned it will be difficult for your car, you can park at the bottom. It will take an extra couple minutes to walk. ACCOMMODATION- Upon entering, you'll be greeted by the warmth of a heated and cooled interior, providing comfort throughout the year. This is a spacious, yet cozy dome. The dome boasts tastefully decorated interiors with luxurious furnishings and a king-size bed with luxurious Pottery Barn Bedding, ensuring a good night's sleep. This listing is for the dome. Not the additional Tent site, (that can be added for the 5th and 6th guest for a fee). See below. EXTRA GUESTS- For additional guests beyond two, there is a full-size convertible sofa bed. Best suited for one adult or two children. If you're comfortable with cozy sleeping arrangements, just remember to add a third or fourth person to your reservation. 🏕️ Tent Option- for 2 extra guests that would have access to an adorable canvas tent set up! Please message me if you are interested. There is a $ supplemental fee per night. You can see this in the photos. Please communicate in the booking message that this is what you want. Perfect for kids or another couple. With a memory foam mattress and bedding, this tent is on a platform that overlooks a beautiful section of forest. 🌲 (include in your booking message that you would like to book the tent and I will send a request for the additional funds.). And you will love it. So cute. (If the tent site is not reserved, yet is disturbed, you will be charged for the use at the regular rate.) If you require even more additional lodging, please let us know, or you can view our other options on our Hipcamp profile. We have a cabin capable of accommodating up to 4 people. The cabin is heated and cooled for your comfort! And a guest suite that accommodates up to 5. BATHROOM- is 15' from the dome and is a beautiful, chapel-like experience. We wanted it to have a camping feel but in the most special, unique, and luxurious way! It's a beautiful space. On-demand hot water for those long showers. There is a separate shower room, a separate sink area, and a separate toilet room. Robes and Turkish towels are in the basket inside the dome! KITCHEN- Our well-equipped kitchenette has everything you need for a convenient and enjoyable stay. CERAMIC WATER DISPENSER- Filled with clean, fresh drinking water located inside the dome. Make coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or anything you may need in the dome. Running water is 15' away at the bathroom sink for dishes etc. REFRIGERATOR and FREEZER. TOASTER OVEN MICROWAVE- Whip up quick and delicious meals or heat leftovers with ease. COFFEE- Start your mornings right with a fresh cup of coffee using the Keurig machine. Coffee pods, creamer, and sugar are provided for your convenience. Electric Hot Water Kettle- Whether it's tea or instant soup, hot water is at your fingertips. Dishes, Utensils- We've got you covered. Webber BBQ- Fire up the gas barbecue on the deck for a delightful outdoor cooking experience. I'm not one to give any other rules than be respectful, but it sure is nice when someone takes the time to thoroughly wash their dishes. There is a dish bucket inside, at the bathroom there is huge sink, drying rack, soap, and sponge located at the bathroom. :) GOODIES- To make your stay even more enjoyable, we provide a selection of snacks, drinks, coffee, tea, sugar, and basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and oil. You'll have everything you need to prepare a quick bite or a full meal right at your fingertips. Enjoy the flexibility of dining in or dining out. The welcome book lists many local restaurants, stores, and services. We even have Door Dash! ENTERTAINMENT- Stay entertained with modern amenities, including a TV, a Bose Soundbar, and a PlayStation for cozy evenings indoors. An electric fireplace adds to the ambiance, creating a magical feeling inside. HEATING AND COOLING- There is an electric fireplace I love for ambiance. It also heats. But for real heat that will warm up the dome fast, there is a unit on the wall. Look for the remote for the AC HEAT on the partition near the refrigerator!! Make sure it is below 70 at night or you will wake up uncomfortably warm. Ceiling Fan with different light settings. Look for a remote on the partition near the refrigerator!! There are cool and warm light settings. I love the warm light for a cozier ambiance! Note there is no heating or cooling in the tent site. LAUNDRY- Please note that there is no washer or dryer in the cabin. However, for longer stays, we can arrange to wash a load of laundry at the main house for an additional fee. Feel free to contact us for more information. PETS- We are happy to welcome WELL-BEHAVED dogs as we understand that they are part of your family. Please add your well-behaved pet to your reservation, and note that there is a fee associated with bringing them. To maintain cleanliness, we kindly request that pets are not allowed on the furniture or to use our bedding and blankets. We WILL PROVIDE a clean dog bed and bowls for your furry friend. ATTITUDE- At our dome, we embrace an all-inclusive environment and hope you and your guests will do the same. We do not discriminate or impose any political views, and we expect mutual respect from our guests. As it is a home, minor issues may arise, and we will do everything possible to address them promptly. While it's highly unlikely, a water pipe could break or a power outage may occur (especially during high fire danger or snowstorms when rolling blackouts may be enforced). Rest assured, we will do our best to handle any such situations, and we even have a generator as a backup. Renting an Airbnb requires some level of understanding, so we appreciate your coolness and understanding in such circumstances. If you prefer a different experience, an Airbnb may not be the best fit for you. HOSTS- Please note that we reside on the property, so you may occasionally hear or see us, as well as our pets. However, we will always reach out ahead of time if we ever need to swing by. LAKE TOY RENTALS- We also offer seasonal lake toy rentals, primarily during summer and fall. We set up a time to drop you off with the equipment and pick you up. No parking or boat ramp fees to pay. We do have 3 accommodations on the property. So in summer if you are interested then book ahead or they may not be available. PADDLE BOARDS PADDLE BOARDS- for 2 paddle boards for the day. Includes leash, Personal flotation device, and paddles. MEGA PADDLE BOARD- 15' long and 4' wide, this board can hold up to 1000 lbs and accommodate 2-5 people and a dog, these come with everything you need, leash, life vest, 2 paddles. It is VERY stable and nearly impossible to tip. If you have a large dog then this is the one you want. KAYAKS- available for rent for an entire day. Please let us know your preferred launch time, and when you're ready to have the equipment picked up, simply give us a call. We drop you off and pick you up. FISHING BOAT- If you're interested in fishing or just cruising around we have a small fishing boat that can accommodate up to 3 people or 2 people and a dog. The rental cost includes a full tank of gas, which will last you an entire day. Even if you're not fishing, it's a fun experience to explore the lake and discover different swim spots. We will take you, along with the boat, pay the launch fee, and off you go. When you're ready to return call 30 minutes ahead and we will come and pick you up. We are flexible with the rental duration, and one tank of gas provides ample time for a full day of enjoyment. Please try to set this up in advance as we also have a busy schedule. Nearby, within a 10-minute drive or a 15-minute walk, you'll find Rollins Boat Rental, where you can rent pontoon boats and ski boats. Long Ravine Campground features a floating slide for both kids and adults, and it's also reachable within a 15-minute walk (seasonal). Please Read Completely Before Booking! Secluded, Cozy Cabin in the Woods: Your Perfect Getaway! Not just a place to sleep, but an experience! Welcome to our comfortable and quaint cabin in the woods, where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Experience privacy and seclusion like never before in this serene retreat. You can run around naked or make love in the woods. I promise that no one will see you! Our property is conveniently located at Rollins Lake, allowing you to indulge in a range of exciting summer activities. Despite being close to everything, our cabin feels like a world away! 420 THEME- The cabin has a charming 420 theme with unique artwork throughout and is located on a seasonal cannabis garden. CABIN ROAD- Please note that access to our cabin is via a gravel road. While a 2-wheel drive car can navigate it in the summer with a confident driver, we highly recommend a 4-wheel or AWD vehicle, especially during winter when conditions can be slippery, wet/muddy, or snowy. Alternatively, you can park at the bottom and enjoy a scenic 3-5 minute walk up to the cabin. If we are around we can run you and your belongings up in our side by side. MOBILITY- Please be aware that this is not an ideal accommodation for people with mobility issues due to the presence of stairs, inside and out. OCCUPANCY- Our listing is designed to accommodate 2-3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. It can be quite cozy with 4 guests. BEDROOM- The loft bedroom features a queen-size memory foam bed, accessible via spiral stairs. You'll also find a small deck off the bedroom with seating, perfect for stargazing. The bed is adorned with luxury linens, and we provide plenty of blankets and bedding to ensure everyone stays warm and cozy. KITCHEN- On the main floor, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen featuring a full-size fridge, stovetop, toaster oven, microwave, and all the necessary cooking and dining utensils. While it may not be suitable for preparing an elaborate Thanksgiving dinner, it has everything you need to cook a delicious meal. You can also enjoy a barbecue on the deck using the provided Webber gas BBQ grill. LIVINGROOM- The living room boasts a twin sofa bed, TV, DVD player, and Bluetooth Soundbar. We have a hard drive connected to the TV, filled with a variety of movies, TV shows, and music. WiFi EXTRA GUESTS- For additional guests beyond two, we can make up the living room bed with extra linens, although it is a twin-size bed, not a full one. Best suited for one adult or two children. If you're comfortable with cozy sleeping arrangements, just remember to add a third or fourth person to your reservation. option to add 2 extra guests to the reservation that would have access to an adorable canvas tent set up with everything they would need for sleeping. BATHROOM- The cabin features beautiful hardwood floors and a custom porcelain-tiled bathroom with a hot shower and a sliding barn door. In the bathroom, you'll find professional organic hair care products, a hairdryer, and a flat iron. The bathroom offers a shower, sink, and toilet, with Turkish cotton towels that are thin and quick-drying. We provide extra towels and robes for a relaxing bathtub experience on the deck. COOLING- To keep you cool during warm summer days, the cabin has an air conditioner and ceiling fan. Opening the windows allows for fresh, cool air during summer nights. And if you shut them in the morning the cabin stays nice and cool all day without the need for AC. HEATING- In winter, our electric wood stove ensures you a warm and cozy retreat from the elements. I will say, it's an awesome spot to ride out crazy winter storms. DECK- The deck is a wonderful outdoor space, featuring a spacious claw foot tub for two. Connected to an on-demand water heater, you can indulge in a relaxing bath under the stars in complete privacy with the gas fire pit glowing nearby. Yes, endless hot water is guaranteed! During the warm summer months, we will have a seasonal stock tank pool available for you to cool off in. DECK- The outdoor living area is spacious and provides several cozy spots for lounging, seating, and conversation. You'll find a deep lounging sofa on the covered porch with the gas fire pit, along with another sofa on the other side for a different view. Or you can drive to the lake in about 10 minutes. LAKE TOY RENTALS- We also offer seasonal lake toy rentals, primarily during summer and fall. Please READ the ENTIRE listing before booking! No surprises! We also have other listings for accommodations on the 30-acre property, Cabin, and Glamping Dome. OUR BNB APARTMENT- You will be very cozy here and won't want to leave!! LOCATED Right next to Rollins Lake, (Appx. 1000sf), Connected to our home (the entire downstairs floor) with a Separate Entrance at the back AND a Separate Driveway/ Parking Area. Lovely, spacious, and comfortable with unique personal belongings that include artwork, musical instruments, pinball games, etc. This is not your typical air-bnb with home decor thrown in from Home Goods. Large private property with gorgeous views all around you can enjoy from the windows or deck. 1 BEDROOM- Separate room with a door, a very comfortable and new king-size bed, and linens. Also a Restoration Hardware chaise lounge in the bedroom (Very comfortable) is great for sinking in and reading a good book. There is room for a pack-n-play crib or an air mattress (I don't provide these, but I do have 2 folding foam mats I can supply with linens with the extra guest fee if you let me know ahead of time you need it), in the bedroom, if necessary. ENTERTAINMENT in the bedroom- Large Smart TV with Netflix etc and a Playstation 3. LIVING ROOM- Seating area with deep Lounge sofa by Crate n Barrel. Great for sleeping on because of how deep it is. Two kids or 1 adult and 1 child would fit to sleep on the sofa. Or you can move the coffee table and put down an air mattress ( I don't provide it, but I do have 2 folding foam mats I can supply with linens with an extra guest fee. Please let me know before your arrival so I can have them ready for you). And a leather armchair. A Small table with chairs for dining. Plenty of comfortable seating for everyone in your group. LIVING ROOM ENTERTAINMENT- Entertainment A 65” Smart TV with all the apps. There is a piano and 1 pinball game in this room. Guitars- feel free to strum a song if you know how. COMFORT- There are extra throw blankets that I wash frequently so they are soft, fluffy, and smell good for your comfort! BATHROOM - With double sinks (one sink is used for a dish area for the kitchenette), a large shower, and a private toilet room. Professional salon shampoo and conditioner. We use Turkish towels. They are thin, comfortable, and fast-drying. KITCHENETTE- In the main bathroom area, there is a normal-sized refrigerator, shelving unit with microwave, toaster oven, George Foreman electric Grill, coffee maker, electric water kettle, coffee, tea, sugar, etc., plates, cups, wine glasses, bowls, and utensils. My version of a kitchenette. I always have an assortment of yummy snacks and drinks provided so you are not racing to town if you have not gone shopping yet. This is a fun place with stadium seats, games, music posters, etc. There are a few children's books. Books and games are located in a cabinet under the bedroom TV. DECK SEATING- There is a small deck at the entrance to sit on and enjoy your coffee and views. On the deck, there is a bench for two, two hanging swing chairs, two other chairs, and a table. I also have two Tommy Bahama backpack chairs on the deck that you can use down at the lake. (lake towels under the sink in the bathroom) OCCUPANCY- This place would be great for 2 adults but would also be great for 2 adults and a child. I made it available for up to 5 people because it's possible if you want to be cozy. Sometimes when we travel with a group we don't mind that for a few days when will will be out exploring anyway. You just have to understand that with more people your space gets SMALLER. I hope that everyone can respect our furniture, belongings, etc. when there are extra guests. But there is plenty of comfortable seating for 5 adults in the living room. If you require additional lodging, please let us know, or you can view our other options on our Hipcamp profile. We have a cabin, capable of accommodating up to 4 people. It is heated and cooled for your comfort! And a Glamping Dome with additional Teepee tent , that accommodates up to 6. All are located within the same property. GUEST ACCESS- This listing is for the ENTIRE DOWNSTAIRS FLOOR of our home which is separated by an indoor staircase that has a door at the top that will be locked. It has a private deck and parking area. SEPARATE ENTRANCE- From the back of our home with a separate driveway. You can park there and access this space by the STAIRS up to the separate deck and French doors. PARKING- You will have to make a 3-point turnaround in the parking area to get out. Just channel your inner Austin Powers and it's a piece of cake. This is a gravel driveway but everyone has made it up. Even tiny cars! And Giant full-size trucks are fine but they need a six-point turnaround! But it can be done. If you are concerned you can park at the turn and walk up. ACCESSABILITY- Unfortunately, this is NOT a good fit for people who have accessibility needs. We have STAIRS and it would not be possible for a wheelchair to access the unit. SMOKING- Our property is 420 FRIENDLY!!!! But it must be smoked, vaped, etc. OUTSIDE!!! Please NO CIGARETTES in or outside. We all know that not only are they horrible for your health, but they also smell awful. So sorry, if you need to smoke tobacco then this might not be the place for you. NO SMOKING TOBACCO ON THE PROPERTY! Thank You! RESPECT- Furthermore, we take great pride in our home and work hard to keep it immaculate, beautiful, and ready for our family, friends, and guests. If you cannot respect us or our property, then our place may not be suitable for you. Thankfully, we've had the pleasure of hosting many amazing guests so far! YOUNG ADULTS- While we warmly welcome younger guests to book, we kindly request that they be respectful, we understand that we all have to start somewhere. We love having young people around, but please remember to be considerate. We want everyone to have a great experience! WE ARE ALL-INCLUSIVE- We hope you and your guests be as well. We do NOT DISCRIMINATE or push any political views and we expect the same. We are Peace, Love, and Acceptance of ALL. That means all races, genders, orientations, or whatever else you can think of. Let's all work together to love one another because we are all on the same team. Plus this is my home and I don't need any drama or funky vibes. You are on vacation so enjoy! UNDERSTANDING- With that being said, this is not a Marriott. Small problems may arise because this is a home. I will do everything in my power to handle any issues. A water pipe could break (highly unlikely), and we could have a power outage (we sometimes have rolling blackouts in summer if there is a high fire danger or if there is a snowstorm), we will do our best with a generator. Just saying that there is some level of understanding that goes along with renting an Airbnb. So please be cool and understanding :), or an Airbnb may not be for you. NOTE- We do live here. So you may hear us or see us at times or our pets. I love spending time in my yard. We try to keep our noise level down when we have guests but you still may hear us. And you may not ever see us! You never know. We have lives too. LAKE ACCESS- Your deck can access our yard, the tiny gate on your deck, where you will pass through to the metal gate, to walk down to the lake. As soon as you see the lake walk straight down towards the water. It will take you several minutes to walk down to the water and there is a decent little hill at the bottom that is steep. We have chiseled-out steps as well as a rope tied to the tree that can help steady you on the way down. I use it, my husband doesn't and my kid runs down it. It’s not a big deal. We are always up and down that hill to the water. RECREATION- LAKE TOY RENTALS- We also offer seasonal lake toy rentals, primarily during summer and fall. We set up a time to drop you off with the equipment and pick you up. No parking or boat ramp fees to pay. We do have 3 accommodations on the property. So in summer if you are interested then book ahead or they may not be available. PADDLE BOARDS- PADDLE BOARDS- ($100) for 2 paddle boards for the day. Includes leash, Personal flotation device, and paddles. MEGA PADDLE BOARD- 15' long and 4' wide, this board can hold up to 1000 lbs and accommodate 2-5 people and a dog for ($130), these come with everything you need, leash, life vest, 2 paddles. It is VERY stable and nearly impossible to tip. If you have a large dog then this is the one you want. KAYAKS- available for rent for ($120) for an entire day. Please let us know your preferred launch time, and when you're ready to have the equipment picked up, simply give us a call. We drop you off and pick you up. FISHING BOAT- We have a small fishing boat that will fit 3 people that we rent for $295. That is including a full tank of gas that will last you an entire day. Even if you are not fishing it is fun to zip around the lake and check out different swim spots. We will take you, with the boat, pay the launch fee and place you in the water until you are ready to come back. We are very flexible with the amount of time. One tank of gas will last many, many hours. All day. Rollins Boat rental is 10 min away by car or 15 by foot and they have pontoon boats, ski boats etc. There is also a floating slide for kids and adults! This is over at Long Ravine Campground. You can also walk there in about 15 min. Or paddleboard to it in about five minutes from our drop-off point. There is also a seasonal store and deli at this spot. WELCOME BOOK- I have made a Welcome book with important phone numbers and information about the house and local activities. I don’t have a washer/ dryer downstairs in the apartment but I will WASH and DRY a load for a fee. So yes, you may bring 1 well behaved dog!!!! I do charge a pet fee of $50. They will love the lake, but please towel them off before coming back into the house and please keep them off the furniture. No pets are to be left unattended. Great, clean glamping spot. The bathroom and shower were super cute. If you're walking to the lake, it is a bit of a walk. We had paddleboards, coolers and backpacks and it was quite the undertaking lol. Absolutely beautiful lake. Would definitely come back.

This place was so perfect and peaceful. It had just the right amount of amenities to make us feel right at home…but on a lake! We played board games, bbqd, went fishing, and of course ended on having smores under the trees and twinkle lights! Definitely would recommend for couples or even a solo trip!

Good Stay, Needs Better Upkeep

We had mixed feelings about our stay. There were several thoughtful touches we appreciated. The WiFi and TV worked great, and having Hulu and Netflix was nice for relaxing at night. The cart was extremely convenient for bringing our belongings to and from the dome. There were also plenty of extra blankets, seasonings for cooking, a charged flashlight, and a new sponge. The lake was also within walking distance. Unfortunately, there were some cleanliness and maintenance issues. We found blonde hairs in the bedding even though everyone in our group has black hair, as well as dog fur on the bed. We also had bugs crawling on us while in bed. This was our first time glamping, so we’re not sure how much of the bug situation is unavoidable. Our biggest issue was the upstairs AC leaking. We had to use bowls to catch the water, constantly empty them, and clean up the leak. Eventually we stopped using that AC, which made the dome pretty hot on our second day. Having a bucket available would’ve made this much easier. The bathroom and shower doors also had broken/missing handles, making them difficult to open. Overall, we enjoyed the amenities and thoughtful additions, but better cleaning and a few maintenance fixes would have made our stay much more enjoyable.

The dome was super cozy! We loved it! The lake is close by but I will say after the lake you do have to walk up a steep hill to get back up to the dome which I was huffing and puffing. Over all I would recommend and stay here again.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the dome glamping site at Rollins Lake in Colfax. From the start, our host Erin was fantastic. Communication was prompt and friendly, and the directions were incredibly clear, making arrival stress free. The amenities exceeded our expectations, and everything was thoughtfully provided, from snacks to all the little details that made the stay feel special. The dome itself was spotless and beautifully set up. The bathroom was great, the bedding was extremely comfortable, and the views were truly incredible. Waking up surrounded by nature was unforgettable. We loved how close it was to the lake, with an easy and scenic hike down for a relaxing walk and time by the water. This stay was the perfect mix of comfort and outdoor adventure. We are already planning our next trip back and cannot recommend this place enough. A truly special experience from start to finish.

What a treat this retreat is. While you are under the host family, they are not like those upstairs neighbors that you despise. I heard them, but it didn’t disrupt my peace and presence. I enjoyed the 420 friendly atmosphere outside on the lovely deck. The sunset was ridiculous and a whole family of deer walked by. I was able to cook a full breakfast getting creature with the stove. The host even helped me when using a hairdryer with the fireplace tripped a breaker. It waste too, and they responded quickly. Also got to check out late with an additional cost while I was theee. I truly loved it here. Will def come back. Once I checked in, I didn’t leave until check out.

Cozy mountain escape

This place was huge, cozy, and so cool. There were vintage guitars, lots of rock and roll posters, a cool playboy pinball machine, and incredible views. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the machine to work after plugging it in. The king bed was very comfortable and they had a nice heater in the living room. It was a challenge to get up to the house because of the steep driveway. It was raining. The key is to keep going, don’t stop. We were in a truck so it was manageable. This place is 420 friendly so it did smell like it in the place which wasn’t a big deal. Neither of us smoke but we didn’t mind the subtle smell. The only issue we had was with the coffee maker—it leaked all over the shelf and didn’t dispense through the coffee pod.

Quite the drive into the mountainside to get there, even with 4wd on sections, it was a little hairy. Not much they can do about it, though, but good to know if you try to come to the place after a rain storm. Cute place, but being directly attached to the owner’s home, it was a little noisy, similar to being in an apartment. Best part was waking up in the trees with that view.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Dome! Such a cool spot off the beaten path. From the deck to the view out of the dome to wagon for transport to the awesome bathroom / shower setup! Each detail was noticed and appreciated. If we lived closer we would definitely come back (when there’s not a 97 degree heat wave!)

The forest, the dome, and the bathroom were gorgeous. The bathroom really was the winner here! I really appreciate that the hosts were willing to let us bring our own tents. It allowed us to bring a relatively large group of family. The cooking situation was not really adequate for more than a couple people. We knew it was primarily a bbq but it was not a large bbq. And a hot plate would be a welcome addition to the kitchen. The line to the bbq started leaking but the hosts were very quick about getting a replacement and let us use their bbq at the main house. Again, my primary problem was that the lake was so low that there was no way for most of us to get to it without driving. And even after driving to the campground, the only place to swim was directly off the boat ramp.

Generally, we had a good time. The suite was comfortable, the decor was great, and the a/c was great during the day. The kitchen really is kind of in the bathroom, which was odd but not a big deal. There is a steep and long (20-30 steps?) staircase to get into the apartment. And it was a little bit of a walk to get down to our family at the dome site. Not horrible but it was too much for some of our family. The real disappointment was the lake. I expected it to be low, but I didn’t realize that it would be nearly impossible to get down the extremely steep sides of the dried up area of the reservoir. The only part of the lake that was still actually accessible was the boat ramp.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. It was private & secluded. We actually never made it down to the lake which was okay with us because we were out exploring other things. The cabin had everything we needed to make a small breakfast, enjoy coffee (Keurig) with coffee mate, sugar, and even had some snacks & SPF for us. It was the perfect accommodation for our needs. The road getting up to the house was a little sketchier than anticipated but we put our Jeep in 4Wd & it was fine. I think it would have been okay without it though.

The cabin was secluded and we didn’t see anyone else during our stay there, and it was cute and comfortable. Hosts were great about taking us down to lake which was great for swimming and water activities. Road to cabin is dirt and gravel and we could not do it in our non-4 wheel drive car, but we could park further down and walk up. Just beware of this.

We had a very nice stay at Erin’s place for a little babymoon! The place had everything we needed. We enjoyed being able to sit out on the deck and chill. It was great to be able to walk to the lake and swim, especially since the rivers were so cold but the lake was warm. Thanks for the stay!
