We run a nonprofit outdoor education camp for underprivileged youth, and your stay supports our work. Winter lodging.... It can get seasonably cold in the Santa Cruz Mountains during the winter. If visiting in the winter, rest assured we have everything covered to enjoy your stay. We have propane heaters in all main spaces for your comfort. If the power goes out, we have a standby generator that will power up camp provided we are home to turn it on. We have a woodstoves in the Owl's Nest and Eagle's Nest. You can dump your septic there as well!  Horseback riding rentals are located near the park as well as an archery range.  Demonstration forest is 15 minutes down the road, with miles of mountain biking. Spend a day at one of the beaches in Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Rio Del Mar, Davenport, Half Moon Bay, Monterey, or Carmel and return to your private oasis. Or Explore Silicon Valley from this centrally located parcel. Kim Son Meditation Center and Mount Madonna Center are approximately 15 minutes away. There are also wonderful wineries throughout the mountains here. The trip to the site will begin with a three mile drive on a private dirt road.  Being on the very top of a mountain brings more seasonality than the surrounding cities.   Please be prepared for any kind of extreme weather. I loved seeing the strawberry fields in the distance and the walk to the beach was quick and easy. Our host was friendly and helpful. They provided all the necessary luxuries of camping (water and electrical hookup, porta potty, sink, soap, chairs, table and bench, fire pit with all the wood we could use. I highly recommend staying here. I will definitely return.

What an amazing place!! Super clean, great views of the strawberry fields, clean Porto potty to use (was serviced day before we arrived), and the hosts were super friendly. Robin made us cookies and gave us fresh eggs from their chickens. Lots of privacy between the 3 camp sites available. Couldn’t have been happier! The beach is only an 8 min walk away and what a phenomenal beach. Dog friendly and super quiet, perfect spot to go surfing and/or watch the surfers. Soft sand and people are friendly. Would definitely recommend to a friend and will be back soon.

Farbod and Yenyen's place is a gem! It has all the amenities that you'll need - whether you're pitching a tent, driving an RV, or staying in one of their charming cottages. * Tent sites in Tugley Woods - each site is well maintained and each provides its own picnic table and shades from the trees. Like what others say, it is close to the street so you will hear the cars go by. During the busy season, this area also has its own restrooms and outdoor kitchen facilities *Main kitchen / living room / fire place area - this is a beautiful area for everyone to hang out and enjoy the facilities, whether you're cooking up your best camp meal or just enjoying a sip of coffee in the seating areas, there is something for everyone. * Rest of the secret garden - it's to be experienced in person b/c every corner has a little surprise since Farbod and Yenyen have put their heart and soul into making this place magical. I encourage everyone who's looking for something fun and magical to check it out!

My husband and I were trying out a camper van rental and driving down the coast. This spot is fantastic - it has everything you would have at a typical campground - except the crowds! It’s quiet and peaceful with pretty views of strawberry fields and Ray and Robin are lovely hosts; they gave us fresh eggs! As others have said there is a beautiful beach about an 8 min walk away that is dog friendly. We would definitely stay there again!

You can’t put into words or pictures how wonderful this place is. It’s so amazing!!! If you book anywhere else, it’s a mistake. The property was so enchanting!! We had a surprise group camp trip here for my husbands 30th birthday & everyone (all very experienced campers) left saying it was the best campsite of their life. & we are already planning our return trip! So much effort and love and detail put into every inch of this absolutely stunning property. The owners came down and were so kind and easy going. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Nice peaceful spot. Lots of distance from the other campsite, and a lovely view of the strawberries. There’s a little road noise in the site closer to the road, but it’s only occasional, and not too loud – all the trees help with that. And the location was very convenient for a visit to Aptos. Would come back.
