Welcome to the Amaya Creek Redwood Campground! We are deep in the Santa Cruz mountains and it’s rustic so be prepared! The road is all paved but it can be narrow, bumpy and steep in some areas. Be sure to follow our directions to bypass the road closure! There is no cell phone service in some areas. Very peaceful. John is a great host. He took time to meet me upon my arrival and ensure I got into my spot ok. Site #1 was perfect for my travel trailer. I was able to pull right in and get set up easily without having to back up my trailer. The grounds are very well maintained and there is lots of open area to walk my dog. It is mostly under the trees. I do have solar and although I don’t think it was able to charge, I had plenty of power for my 4 night stay so it was not an issue for me. I would definitely stay there again.

It has all the amenities that you'll need - whether you're pitching a tent, driving an RV, or staying in one of their charming cottages. * Tent sites in Tugley Woods - each site is well maintained and each provides its own picnic table and shades from the trees. Like what others say, it is close to the street so you will hear the cars go by. During the busy season, this area also has its own restrooms and outdoor kitchen facilities *Main kitchen / living room / fire place area - this is a beautiful area for everyone to hang out and enjoy the facilities, whether you're cooking up your best camp meal or just enjoying a sip of coffee in the seating areas, there is something for everyone. * Rest of the secret garden - it's to be experienced in person b/c every corner has a little surprise since Farbod and Yenyen have put their heart and soul into making this place magical. I encourage everyone who's looking for something fun and magical to check it out!

Beautiful view at sunrise. Whether you come up from the Los Gatos or the Morgan Hill/Gilroy side, it will go off road but you just have to take it slow and the average car would do just fine. Great spot tho, perfect space for tent camping.

Weekend Trip to BANKS RANCH IN THE REDWOODS

This is our second time to this beautiful property and we will return again. Doug and Denise are both very warm and welcoming. They are the perfect combination of offering help if needed but also giving us our space. The property is just beautiful with a river you can walk to and so many varieties of mushrooms. Don’t forget to look out for the banana slugs!
