A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. Excellent Group Site! We only host one group at a time so you can be with your family and friends in a large, flat and private space. We listed the site for up to 12 campers but feel free to reach out if your group is bigger. Please check out the newest addition of our cabin bunkhouse. Take a look at the pictures - you can add it to your stay as an extra when you book! The land was originally purchased in the 1980's. Since then, it has been used by four generations of the family as a place to gather, relax, camp and even celebrate. I had my wedding on the property in 2010. For a few years we held an annual music festival with the very inventive name of Samapalooza. Up to 400 people would attend the day filled with live music, food and drinks. You will still find the stage and bar we built as an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Around 2008, my father and I planted our first olive trees. Many have been planted since which has gifted the land the timeless sense of purpose it deserves. My father dedicated his last years to tending the young trees and now I have taken the mantle to carry the farm forward. 'The Property', as it is known amongst family and friends has always been a place to camp. I have sat around the same fire ring for decades, rain or shine. I hope that fellow hipcampers can find the joy that my family and I have experienced here. This is a very private camp on a small olive farm. Geographically close to highways and the town of Novato, Sonoma and Napa wine country, this camp feels remote and secluded. Only one camp on the property to keep it private and special. You basically have your run of the land. We have just updated the land and made some nice improvements. Located on ten acres, you will drive past a small olive grove before reaching the spacious and open campground. Just up the hill from the camp is a private pond where you can fish, take out a small boat or just sit and watch the birds. It can be great swimming on hot summer days. This spot has been used by the family for decades and is now open to share with fellow nature lovers. Just a note: While the majority of the time you can expect complete privacy, this is a working olive farm. From time to time you may run into me (Sam) or someone else associated with the land. Located right off coastal US highway 1, Timber Cove campground sits right at the edge of breathtaking, oceanside cliffs. We are situated on roughly two acres of land, with multiple campsites for tent/car camping or RV’s. Each bluff campsite has a picnic table, fire pit and water. Electricity is available to use for an extra fee. The beach and waterfall campsites do not have picnic tables so you might want to bring one if you’ve booked there. We have separate men’s and women’s flush bathrooms, with coin-operated hot showers. We have firewood with kindling for sale on site, payable with cash or Venmo. Please take note of local fire bans, when in effect. Dog friendly, though be advised a leash is recommended as we are close to the road, but they can run leash-free down at the beach. We are located 30 minutes north of the town of Jenner, with Gualala 30 minutes to the north. Gualala has grocery stores, a post office, and some shops. Fort Ross Store is located one mile down the road, just before Timber Cove, and sells basic food necessities, drinks, sandwiches, ice and gas. Internet cell service can be spotty in our area, depending on your provider, so bring your own Starlink services if you have them. We also have access to the beach below, and offer beach camping as well. Take note that the road down to the beach is steep with uneven terrain. The weather can vary quickly here, so be sure to bring multiple layers of clothing and camp gear for various types of weather, and headlamps are useful for getting around the property at night! All sites are easy walking distance to flush toilets and a bathhouse, with large, clean, coin operated hot shower rooms. There is no cell service in the park, but free WiFi is available at the Visitor Center. PLEASE NOTE that Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets) IS NOT included in a standard rental, but is available as an add-on. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding whenever possible. The "Redwood Nest" is a standalone room featuring a queen bed and bay window looking out onto a redwood stand. There is a composting toilet in the attached outhouse and an outdoor sink. There are no cooking facilities and no cooking allowed. The redwood nest is really perfect for a couple looking to eat out and then sleep, fully at peace beneath the Redwoods. Please note that there is a friendly dog on the property (although we do not accept pet guests). This property is ideal for quiet people who want to get away into nature, enjoy the outdoors. It is dark at night- we do not have exterior lighting except for string lights and provided flashlights. Quiet hours begin at 9:30pm. We are conveniently located off of US 101, therefore there may be some freeway noise, during commute hours especially. It has become like white noise to me, but it is only fair to mention it. We offer full hookups which consists of 50 amp & 110 volt electrical outlets, potable water, sewage dump. We also have one pigtail available (with a refundable deposit) if needed to convert 50 amp to 30 amp. We also have one place in the middle of our big vineyards with a 30 amp and water only. No sewer. Our sites are located one mile from Healdsburg plaza, the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country. Our town offers amazing wineries, fantastic restaurants, and quaint shops. It is an excellent place for wine lovers. There is a pre-prohibition winery right across the road called Foppiano. There are many other fabulous wineries are nearby. Ask the host for discount passes or complimentary tasting cards for some of the local wineries. We are in an excellent location for outdoor adventurers. There are plenty of hiking trails near by as well as bike rental shops for those who enjoy trekking, and even a couple of rafting places right here on the Russian River. We are close to places like Armstrong Woods, Safari West, Getaway Adventures, The Sonoma County Fairgrounds which hosts the Summer Country Concerts among other events, Harmony Festival, Santa Rosa Full Camp; Half Marathons Camp; 5K, Sonoma Zip-line Adventures, and Much More! The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. There is even a puppy bath station behind it for your furry friends!The Wack Shack is our outdoor bar and grill, full of fun, colorful lights and signs. There’s plenty of equipment to cook there: appliances, a BBQ, sink, fridge and walk-up bar.We also have several apple trees, a pear tree, and tons of blackberries when in season to share with our guest. Our Veggie Garden will be available next season to enjoy also. We are constantly improving our property so please stay in the finished designated guest areas only until we open up the coming attractions.There are plenty of sites and destinations within minutes from our home too! We have Tennis, Pickle Ball, and Basketball Courts around the corner. The Russian River/ Monte Rio public beach is a short walk past the Parks and Recreation Center, and they rent Kayaks and Canoes during the summer months. The Redwood Alliance camp is just a few miles up Bohemian Hwy if you dare to zip line through the redwood canopy forest or Armstrong woods in Guerneville for those that would rather keep their feet on the ground and take a hike to enjoy the majestic beauties. Duncan's Mill is a quaint town (less than 3 miles from us) on your way to Jenner by the Sea which is just about 9 miles to the west of us. You can take a gorgeous coastal drive to Bodega that is only 15 miles away. Historic Fort Ross is another beautiful 20 mile coastal drive. Bike Enthusiast love the back roads out here and the Biggest Attraction Is… Wait for it…. Wineries are everywhere! During the summer there are several Music Venues close by too. The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. Steve and Ceci are such lovely and down to earth people! Staying at their place was really enchanting, the cabin feels like something out of Snow White-it’s simple but also very detailed and you can tell thought was put in the space. The clawfoot bathtub was wonderful, and despite the winter chill the place managed to stay warm. There’s a bookshelf full of books with California flora and fauna. Their dogs are funny and very active, and there’s maybe about. 60 chickens there? Both domestic and wild. Both the area in the back next to the cows and the highway besides the river were lovely to walk beside and explore. Overall it was a wonderful way to get away from the hustle and hustle of things and relax and explore! Hope to be back soon 💕

There is a portable toilet on the wraparound deck and an electric luggage lift to get your gear up there safely. It has power and heat and a coffee maker, mini fridge, coffee, and tea. Weekend Trip to Calistoga Dreaming

Stayed there with our 23' Airstream for a quick weekend trip. Site is great with power and water and it's perched on a hill over Calistoga - about a 5 minute drive to town. Peter came out and gave us a quick tour of the site and a heads up on some of the local things going on in town for the weekend which were both appreciated. If it's your first trip and you are towing, there are parts of the road where you might say, "I hope those goes to the right spot," or "I really hope I fit..." - but all was good for my sized rig. You need to back in, but there is a loop on the site to get you turned back around for leaving. We are definitely keeping it the list of places to stay when we want to spend the weekend in Napa.

Beautiful! Stunning sunset and gorgeous little cove right there under the campsites. I definitely recommend! It was small & private, serene, and the weather was perfect. Great hikes nearby. We weren’t sure if we had any particular guidelines to follow there as it seems we were the only ones, and there weren’t any messages prior to the stay, but everything was pretty easy to find regardless and we had whatever we needed.

A glamper’s dream! This tiny cottage had all the amenities of a full house—cooking, bathroom, TV, WiFi, and heaters. After a full day of exploring nearby Point Reyes, my friend and I were able to sleep in maximum comfort. Note, this cottage is in a residential area, so you will have drive to any outdoor adventures, but the cottage still has lovely outdoor seating that overlooks the flower garden.

We came with a group and our dogs! It was nice to have the pond to paddleboard in. And the string lights and fire pit to enjoy night time activities. Sam was quick to communicate with us and the site was secluded enough but still close to town to grab supplies and eat out if you wanted to. Winter camping is chilly so come prepared! The amount of picnic tables were great and the port a potties were clean. If with furry friends make sure they’re on flea and tick, as with any outdoor adventure some hitchhikers are bound to jump on. We had no problems when on the gravel and wood chips, just keep an eye out if your dog likes to roam into brush (tall brush is always fair game for ticks most anywhere in the Bay Area) 😉

I had a wonderful stay here. The silence, stars, multitude of birds (including Sandhill Cranes!), water, and joyful farm animals were restorative for my soul. The rustic and charming cabin was delightful with a window view of splendid sunsets, cool art and stylistic decor, an efficient heater, and a spacious bathtub. The hosts were gracious, responsive, welcoming, and thoughtful; they went above and beyond in making sure my stay went well.

The land itself is gorgeous. A 5 acre plot with tons of space to hang, and dare I say play, in. Rife with redwoods, gazebos, relaxing Buddhist mantras, an adult playground, and more stars than the eye can see. There were tons of little details that showed just how much Miss J truly cares for this space. Last but not least, the hosts themselves were incredibly kind and approachable. Would definitely come back here!

Weekend Trip to Sugarloaf Ridge State Park Glamping

We loved our glamping experience at Sugarloaf SP! The tent was spacious and cozy with comfortable beds and plenty of places to sit and hang out. We rented the heater which was much appreciated when the temp dropped and some rained moved in. We appreciated our first bundle of firewood. All of the staff was very friendly and quick to help out if we needed something. They also keep the bathrooms super clean and well stocked and a short walk from any site. The center of the campground being a beautiful meadow with lots of wildlife at night and clear skies show a perfect view of the starry night. We would definitely stay again.
