Welcome to Terwer RV Park, a family-owned campground tucked near Klamath Glen on California’s beautiful North Coast. This little park has been welcoming campers for more than 40 years, and our family is honored to help carry it into its next chapter. My husband and I, along with our two young children, are working to keep the simple charm of Terwer alive while making thoughtful improvements along the way. Around here, we like to call it Klamath’s Best Kept Secret.
Terwer RV Park is the kind of place that is getting harder to find. It is simple, peaceful, and full of old-fashioned campground charm. We are not a luxury resort, and we do not try to be. What makes this place special is the open space, the quiet mornings, the scattered trees, the fresh coastal air, and the slower pace that makes you want to sit outside just a little longer.
The Klamath River is just over the levee, only a short walk from camp. It is a beautiful place to fish, swim, explore, or simply sit and enjoy the water. The river is known for salmon and steelhead fishing, and a valid fishing license is required. During peak fishing season, especially in August and September, you may hear early morning activity from guests heading out to the river.
We are located about 4 miles off Highway 101, close enough to be convenient but far enough away to feel tucked away from the rush. Wildlife is common in the area, so please secure your food and trash at night.
There is so much to explore nearby. Guests love visiting Redwood National and State Parks, Trees of Mystery, Klamath River Jet Boat Tours, coastal viewpoints, hiking trails, biking routes, and quiet places to wander among the redwoods.
A few things to know before you book:
* Firewood is available on site.
* Cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier. Free Wi-Fi is available and reaches most of the campground.
* Electric vehicle charging is $20 per charge and must be arranged ahead of time. 50 amp service is limited, and guests must provide their own adapters.
* Well-behaved pets are welcome.
* Kids, laughter, bikes, campfires, and simple outdoor fun are always welcome.
* We offer dry camping, 30 amp sites, and 50 amp pull-through sites.
* Late arrivals are okay. If you plan to arrive after 10:00 p.m., please text us before 9:00 p.m. so we can send check-in instructions.

We are a small privately owned campground ( on the outskirts of Placerville. The property features 86.5 secluded Tahoe like acres with beautiful year-round Weber Creek. The camp sites are placed along the creek or the bluff overlooking the creek. We have traditional dirt camping, canvas tents on platforms, teepees and glamping tents for those that want the comforts of home. We are tent camping only with only one site that allows a small travel trailer or van. (#14) . We are dog friendly and allow dogs in all but 5 glamping sites. We do enforce camp rules especially our quiet time between 10 PM and 7 AM
We’ve been told that we have a “family camp” vibe. We are a great place for families wanting a safe environment for their kids but also several group sites for those that want to hang out together with multiple families. We are also a great base site for those wilderness enthusiasts with access to all the El Dorado National Forest including Desolation but want a hot shower at the end of the day.
We have a lodge that is stocked with games and a ping pong table. The lodge has a microwave, Keurig machine and a hot water kettle for those hot drinks (BYO Cups).We have several tables set up for those that want to eat inside as well as multiple picnic tables along the side of the lodge with overhead protection. We have electricity at the at the lodge for small appliances and charging phones. We have a compressor on site to blow up your air mattresses or float toys. We’ve been told that our bathrooms are the “cleanest” ever and have changing tables and diaper pails. We offer nice flushing toilets and hot showers! We have many extra amenities including a compressor to use for your air mattresses,
For outdoor activities we have basketball, volleyball, pickleball and cornhole not to mention the playground with swing set . We have hiking trails throughout the property. Our highlight is a camp fire bowl with bench seating with a stage to display camper talent which is perfect for the evening fire and roasting s’mores (bring the fixings).
The creek starts out in spring looking like a rushing river featuring many fishing and swimming holes. As the summer progresses the water level falls but is still great for water play and fishing.
We have propane BBQs (we provide the propane for BBQs) located throughout the property. We also have a propane grill and charcoal BBQ located in the common area for all to use. There is a dutch oven pit also in the fire bowl area.
We do not allow wood fires at the individual sites but each site has a propane firepit for ambiance (not cooking) that requires you to purchase a 20 lb. propane cannister on site (add in extras) or pay cash on site.
No internet service. There is limited internet only available for purchases at the setore.
We require a 3 night minimum for the major holidays - Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. We do exclusive events so you may need to explore multiple weekends to find the right reservation.
We are located in the foothills so we are a short hop to many local attractions that include river rafting, gold mines, wineries and historical towns with great eating establishments. Tahoe is less than an hour away and there a many hiking trails within 20-30 minutes.
We have a limited number of items to rent i.e, tents, cots, camp stoves, etc. We rent a battery pack for those that use a cpap. We also have a small store on site for those items you forgot and a good selection of ice cream and ice. We take venmo or cash.

Located right off coastal US highway 1, Timber Cove campground sits right at the edge of breathtaking, oceanside cliffs. We are situated on roughly two acres of land, with multiple campsites for tent/car camping or RV’s. Each bluff campsite has a picnic table, fire pit and water. Electricity is available to use for an extra fee. The beach and waterfall campsites do not have picnic tables so you might want to bring one if you’ve booked there. We have separate men’s and women’s flush bathrooms, with coin-operated hot showers. We have firewood with kindling for sale on site, payable with cash or Venmo. Please take note of local fire bans, when in effect. Dog friendly, though be advised a leash is recommended as we are close to the road, but they can run leash-free down at the beach. We are located 30 minutes north of the town of Jenner, with Gualala 30 minutes to the north. Gualala has grocery stores, a post office, and some shops. Fort Ross Store is located one mile down the road, just before Timber Cove, and sells basic food necessities, drinks, sandwiches, ice and gas. Internet cell service can be spotty in our area, depending on your provider, so bring your own Starlink services if you have them. We also have access to the beach below, and offer beach camping as well. Take note that the road down to the beach is steep with uneven terrain. The weather can vary quickly here, so be sure to bring multiple layers of clothing and camp gear for various types of weather, and headlamps are useful for getting around the property at night!
We hope you’ll come visit our little slice of heaven on the ocean cliffs, gaze at the stars, marvel at the sunsets, watch the harbor seals dozing on their rocks and the many bird species that inhabit our property. This park gets its rather self-descriptive name from the six beautiful rivers that flow through its borders, but don’t the name fool you. There is a lot more than just rivers to check out here. More than a million rambling acres of forest take you through foggy and mystical redwood landscapes. Further inland, miles of towering Douglas firs, glacial peaks, and hidden pools just wait to be discovered. Of course, the rivers are the main attraction. You can’t go two feet without tripping over a perfect swimming hole. After your dip, there are plenty of warm rocks to lay out on. Oh, and if the natural beauty doesn’t get you: this was the place where they first spotted Bigfoot. Yeah, the original footage that basically made everyone believe in the hairy bi-ped. My aunt and uncle bought the property in 1947 from its first European settler, Paolo Gabrielli, who immigrated in early 1914 from northern Italy with slips of his grapevine in the lining of his coat. (The grapevine still grows over the back deck.) What can you expect? Quiet, beauty, birdsong, ocean roar, widely spaced campsites (only 5 on the 5 acres set aside for camping). Free firewood, local tips on travel and where to hike or what to visit. Or total solitude. Bring your (most non-cattle-chasing breeds) dogs if you wish (males must be neutered). Starlink internet. Walk to the beach of our wild ocean along a no-shoulder country road. We have no visible neighbors, no ambient light or sound. The air is clean and clear and the water is potable from an artesian spring on the property. No electricity at the sites and no generators allowed. (Charge your electronics at the farmhouse.) We offer homemade soup, cobbler, fresh bread, morning coffee as extras; you can order with the booking. The Victorian village of Ferndale is three miles east, as is a beautifully maintained 110-acre town wilderness with hiking trails called Russ Park. A 150-year-old cemetery slopes down a hillside & is filled with 19th century charm and history. Shops and restaurants welcome visitors. There are several bars/a wine bar/and a historic saloon that's as old boy as it was in 1890. A music venue in a restored 19th century church has amazing acoustics and attracts international talent as a top-notch venue (sessions are filmed for PBS) midway between Portland and San Francisco. So, it's a mix of town and country, village and farm, wilderness and bewilderedness. Safe, safe, safe, meaning: you can leave your belongings in your site and when you come back... they're still there :) One caveat: please arrive before dark. There is no electricity in the campgrounds, and no generators are allowed. You will not be able to reach (or maybe even locate) your site without disturbing others. This is a place of beauty, love, and laughter; we welcome the world.

There is NOTHING like being in the wilderness of this area for a good re-centering of the soul! We have found it to be a true blessing for our family, and we hope you can experience this blessing as we share this space with you.
We feel certain you will not be disappointed with our beautiful river canyon. Our property is situated right on the middle fork Cosumnes river. The swimming is awesome and the stars at night will put you into a state of awe!
In the area there are many family owned wineries in the area, most of them offering free tasting! It’s a short drive to Tahoe and the Marshall gold discovery site as well as the historic hangtown Placerville. We are happy to make suggestions for local hiking areas, like the Devil's Slide "Gorge" only a 15 minute drive but like a trip to mini Yosemite. The Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the our house (literally 200' away!). Our property became a pivotal point of fighting the fire in our community known as the “Ant Hill Army”. Ask us about the story!

Our 220 remote acres are adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California.
It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek.
We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip!
No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

The campground was scenic and well kept. Our site felt the most private with the exception of the OA trail that goes thought the side of it. Though no one came through while we were there. It was not too close to the creek.
We had never stayed in cots and my teen said the padded cots were very comfortable. I would recommend bringing more padding or renting it for the bunk beds. In early July the weather was supposed to be in the 90’s, however due to all of the tree covering it felt in the 70’s which was a bit of a bummer because it did not feel hot enough to jump in the beautiful water holes. Our family enjoyed the pickle ball, volley ball courts and ping pong. They had a variety of games, we borrowed Uno and Spot it.

What a find! Sites 1,2 a staircase away from a beautiful river. Definitely bring your watet shoes! We walked up and down the river and every time found something new and interesting to see! Site 3 is a short hike down the road to the river, manageable, but may be challenging for some. Definitely have a 4wd (all terain tires suggested), so you can just drive and park at the river from any of the other sites. Campsites have a good bit of separation from the others, and at night it felt like we were all alone! Awesome amenities made the stay comfortable. The host is amazing, knowledgeable, present, but not overbearing. And if it gets too hot mid day, hop in the air conditioned car and go explore the area around the camp. There are some pretty cool points of interest near by. We stayed 3 nights and loved every minute. We will be back soon!

I really enjoyed my car camp stay at Terwer. Plenty of space, bathrooms/hot showers available., firewood onsite. The location was very prime too-right by the Klamath river, near Redwoods NP, as well as the beach. The hosts were very responsive and welcoming. I recommend to walk up the hill nearby to catch sunset off of the Klamath, it was stunning with the fog rolling in. I would definitely stay here again when I am down near that way. The hosts have expansion plans for the camp too, looking forward to see it grow!!

Will never get over the fact that Terry is generous enough to open his land up to be shared. It’s truly a wonderland. Site 4 is my favorite with a sweeping view of one of the more gorgeous vistas I’ve ever seen. With power and water on the site we felt positively spoiled! Then down the hill to the river where the beautiful Mokelumne is waiting. we walked up stream a bit and found our own slice of heaven. Absolutely private and positively blissful. Terry is a kind and responsive host. We will be thrilled to be back as long as Terry will have us!

Cortney and her husband are so welcoming and helpful, I had lots of questions and received answers so promptly I was surprised.
Very clean the whole place and especially the bathroom!
Courtney guided me to the best site for my needs as well as the actual site upon arrival.
All the campers kind and respectful.
It got very quiet before quiet time and it was 4th of July weekend.

The road is mildly treacherous, but my fully loaded 2wd ford transit didn’t mind it at all, so you will be fine. Host was helpful, facilities worked as expected, will be back.

Perfect spot for our tent trailer with the best swimming hole! My boys absolutely loved it and we had it pretty much to ourselves the two days we were there. Close enough to Auburn to spend the evening out but also has the feel of being in the middle of nowhere. Great property.

2nd year in a row coming to Camp Nauvoo. In simple terms Greg is a good guy and takes care of his camp. The grounds keepers are super helpful and nice as well. We always have a good time. We stayed at the farthest tent ontop of a hill, it was by choice lol but probably won’t do that again. Too far from everything. Overall we had a great time with our toddlers ages 3 and 5.

The scenery at Kosk Creek is what really stood out — a beautiful mix of creek views and forest cover that made the short walk in (under 15 minutes) an enjoyable part of the day itself. The camping area itself is rustic yet clean, with a nice selection of both sunny and shaded campsites, set up in a meadow above the creek — we didn't get much of a bug bite problem being up out of the water. We camped in our van and had no trouble finding a spot that worked well for it. The hot springs are man-made stone soaking tubs set in a naturally gorgeous spot; they're not super secluded, but the setting more than makes up for it. There's also a great swimming hole nearby — bring swim goggles, because you can spot a surprising number of fish once you're under the water. Host communication was excellent throughout, which made planning and finding our way easy. Overall a great day trip — we'd happily recommend it to other Hipcampers looking for an easy, scenic soak.

This place is fantastic! Nice, private camp sites with both shade and sun in a beautiful, green environment with meadows, ferns, all kinds of trees, amazing rock outcroppings, and a clear view of stars at night. Plus, a clean bathroom within walking distance! Gorgeous, clear water with flecks of fools gold and crystals in the sand. Our three Labradors were in heaven swimming and running around, and we were just as happy, splashing around the swimming hole, lounging on the sand, and sitting by the campfire. We saw a tiny bit of poison oak, but not much (still, bring the Technu), and there were a million insideous little stickers that got caught in our dogs' fur, so glad we brought the Furminator, but otherwise, this was perfect. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful stay! The porta potties were all close and super clean. Our site was clean and had great tree coverage so we stayed comfortable. The river was perfect and close to our site. We spent most of the second morning enjoying the water. My nephew absolutely loved it and so did our dogs. Lots of ticks so bring some bug spray but other than that everything was perfect. Already planning on coming back.
