Peaceful and private RV camping under the oaks with picnic table, fire pit and Adirondack chairs. We currently have two sites on our property. They are about 300 feet apart and not easily visible from each other. Property is fully fenced; both sites are next to an open field under the oaks with vineyard, olive orchard and mountain views. This property is 30 miles from Paso Robles and almost perfectly centered between Missions San Antonio and San Miguel. Lakes San Antonio and Nacimiento are close by. Coastal towns of Cayucos and Morro Bay are about an hour scenic drive, passing many wineries along the way. There is space for multiple RVs or additional tents sharing your party's RV restroom facilities. Site one will accommodate sixteen people and multiple vehicles. Amazing sunrises and sunsets. Sheer cliffs attest to area being underwater, long ago. Galaxies overhead at night are awesome and free from light pollution. Thus, great stargazing! Cattle and forage hay ranch, but cattle could be anywhere on the property. Absolutely no open fires. We are part of an Agricultural Conservancy. We do offer ranch tours at various times of the year. You may request a tour for an additional charge, when available. You'll have a 360 degree view overlooking the Santa Lucia Mountain Range as far as you can see to the West and the Sierra Nevada Range, as far as you can see to the East.
We are conveniently located about 15 minutes off Hwy 101, to the North of San Miguel, and offer a private place to relax and rest overnight on your way to or from your other destinations. It is quiet! Occasionally, coyotes howl at night or our two handsome Angus bulls bellow, or a wild boar family grunts as they head from one location to another, usually with an entourage of piglets... just passing through. They are all part of the local country in California and add to the beauty, if you're fortunate enough to hear them from afar. The boar migrate and may not be around for weeks, as they have traveled elsewhere. You may miss all night sounds except the breeze, as most nights are completely silent. It's a rejuvenating experience!
Please ask if interested in local day trips or points of interest, and we will try to accommodate you. We will suggest local activities. Lakes Nacimiento, San Antonio and Santa Margarita are an easy distance. All three are quite different from one another. Wine and Beer get a lot of press and rightly so, but there are other relaxing and inspiring activities for all, available when you are here! Each community has a city or town park, so you can enjoy relaxing or playing with your children on hot days, under tall, well-established trees. Everyone needs time to exercise, especially children!
Camp Roberts, just North of Paso Robles, has two military museums to visit and the West Garrison is just over the 101 to the West of us! Other Shared Structures: The Lounge Barn, Legends Saloon, Loading Dock Stage, Antique Barns and the Game Room.
Evenings: Evening time at Almond Springs is spectacular. There is no light pollution, and the stars are amazing! The space is also well lit with intimate café lighting.
Weather: This is a remote country space. The Cabins and Kitchen both have Heat and A/C. Please come prepared for what the weather predicts for San Miguel, CA.
Dogs: We allow up to two dogs. They must remain on leash at all times. There is a $50 pet fee per pet.

Cellular Service: Cell Service is spotty but we have Wi-Fi for you to connect to!

A beautiful spot in a vineyard with peaceful rolling hills with tons of privacy in Paso Robles Wine Country. We offer a level spot beside a barn surrounded by apple trees and acres of vineyard. There is a small fire pit. A perfect location for outdoor activities and wine tasting around Paso Robles Wine Country, secluded and surrounded by nature. Live working vineyard, may experience vineyard operations from time to time.
FALL DISCLOSURE:
Two nights of harvesting will happen between late September and late October, but unlikely disturb your stay (though we cannot not guarantee as we are an operating vineyard). It's kinda cool to watch if you happen to be here during our harvesting of wine grapes. If desired, contact us a few days before your scheduled stay to get the harvesting schedule.
Our tasting room is currently closed for daily tasting, the upper buildings on the property may be rented out for private parties and overnight stays. These buildings are approximately 300 yards from the hip camp location and are not in direct few of our Hip Camp site.
If you are interested in renting out the upper buildings, please inquire with host.

As of now Central Coast wineries are requiring tasting appointments by reservation under California law as of 2020. Weekend reservations are highly recommended. Weekday reservations can usually be made day of.

Barbara and Dan bought these 37 acres in 2005. It had no improvements. The only thing it had going for it was a 250-year-old oak tree, and its location in the heart of wine country. We would come up and camp under the tree, and plant. In 2007, we drilled a well. In 2008, Dan proposed under the tree, and we brought in power. We have continued to make improvements since. We built a little house, then we built a big house, we added farm animals, kids, fruit trees, a jam line, a pond, and more keep coming! So come up and enjoy the farm like we did in the good old days! The campground was so peaceful. The grounds are immaculate. Shower was clean, Bathroom was clean. I appreciate the dishwashing area and filtered water area. I have a class B so, I was able to utilize the amenities and not use my water or hook up. The pool was heating up for the holiday weekend so I did not use it. They also have a dry sauna which I did not utilize. I tried to modify my reservation quickly after booking to remove a day but you can only modify 1 week prior so I stayed the extra day. I paid 117/night for a week day reservation. Although I loved it, I wouldn’t pay that price for a weekday stay again. The staff and host were very nice and helpful. As someone else mentioned sometimes they are working with leaf blowers on the property -no other way around that and that is why it is so beautiful because of the way they maintain it.

Individual sites for RVs vary in size but all are well kept and surrounded by lush, flowering shrubs for added privacy. So many beautiful glamping sites scattered about along with lovely scenic gathering spots & a beautiful pool too - they allow dogs everywhere except the playground. The hilltop location offers beautiful views. Clean restrooms too. Saddle Mountain is a great campground.

Great stay for a last-minute booking. The site was exactly as advertised with the power and water we needed. We booked the 50-amp site with a 30-amp RV, and Eleazar had an adapter ready for us, which was a nice touch. The site was quiet, peaceful, and felt very private. We would stay again.

There are very few, if any, places to stay on the west entrance of The Pinnacles and driving to the east gate where the campground is located takes about an hour. A stay in this vineyard is a perfect t solution and would be a top pick even if there were several options. We left the trails and were at our site within 10 minutes just in time to watch the sun set over the mountains. Choose sites 1&2 for sunrise over the vineyards or 3&4 for sunset over the hills. Enjoy!

Check in was super easy. We got there right before the office closed and they kindly directed us to our site. The site itself was clean and well maintained with a picnic table and fire pit. Hook ups for water and electricity were readily available (the 30A plug was a little wonky but we got it to work). The overall campground was lovely, nestled among the trees on the mountain. There was a nice play area for kids with a small playground structure and games. The pool looked awesome but it was a little too cold to get in it. We did the hike up Saddle Mountain our last morning and were rewarded with gorgeous views of the valley after 2 miles up. The location is close to Monterey if you plan to do activities there or Carmel. Highly recommend staying here!

We were in spot 21, across from the shower and restrooms. The Office isn't far away, but the
Wi-Fi signal was very weak. The shower is spacious and clean. However, adjusting the water temperature is quite tricky. Overall, it's a good place to spend the night.

This was a stunningly beautiful site with great access to Pinnacles NP. I appreciated the greeting from the site manager, and the sunset was not to be missed. Seriously, be sure to arrive before nightfall!
