OUR HAPPY PLACE

We thought it was a beautiful campsite but unfortunately there was an enormous amount of bugs dusk and dawn due to it being in a valley and the season (march), and the owners were using firearms off in the valley randomly. The stars were dreamy and the fire pit situation was cool!

Our Happy Place is tranquil & very cozy. It's nestled in the hills with plenty of nature to gaze. It's tidy and offers awesome amenities. We will definitely stay here again.

Great spot. Site had a metal picnic table, small and dim night light, and a cool enclosed iron fire thingy. Site is by the road but traffic at night is sparse. It’s on a slight slope so position your tent appropriately but no issue at all.

Nice campground for a weekend offline! Hosts are very kind and responsive. We highly recommend the add on bread and eggs! The ground is a little rocky for a tent, but we were fine with an air mattress. The stars are beautiful at night, and you can hear all sorts of wildlife at all times of day. Bring layers—there is almost no shade during the day, and it gets cooler at night.

Great place for a short outing

This was a great place to camp for the night, we were the only people camping as it was a weekday but loved the place . The night sky was beautiful. Pros: Less light pollution, great night sky views Portable bathroom on property ( and very clean) Easy checkin Great fire place and bbq Cons: By an active road so , can hear cars passing most of the night No water source on site , so bring your own Over all it’s a great place .

Peaceful, Secluded Stay

Great stay overall, and the host was nice. There’s no mobile signal at the property, but you can get coverage if you travel 15–20 miles back toward where you came from. After 9 p.m., you can hear the sounds of wildlife — it might feel a bit eerie for some, as the place feels quite secluded, but it is safe.

Very nice quiet location not too far off the 101. It might be slightly more suited to camper vans or campers, just was a little rocky for only a tent, but still okay. Easy to find and the on-site porta-potty was well kept.

Secluded, rocky terrain site

We booked campsite 2, arriving at the site was easy using google maps. It was about 13 minutes from the 101 highway on a secluded road, we lost service about 5 minutes in. The site is right off the road and seems more equipped for rvs than tents. The terrain was very rocky and on a hill slanting south. We sleep on the floor and this site was not suitable for that kind of camping. It was silent for most of the time which we appreciated. You can hear each passing vehicle, but because it’s secluded there was maybe 5-10 passing the entire evening. The picnic table and stove and porta potty were good amenities. I would not camp there again with a tent but would be return if we had an RV or sleeping situation that was off the ground.

Quiet peaceful getaway

I took my pup here in looks to escape the 4th of July fireworks and it could not have been more perfect. The site was super peaceful and easy to get in and out. The other campers were also super friendly and respect of the place. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to camp, this is it!

Great place! We were looking for a place to spend the night away from the city and we were blown away by the Star filled sky I had never seen before. Thank you for the amazing experience! Bathroom was well taken care of, spacious table, and two options for fire starting. I would definitely come back!

Make sure to download a map before you leave the highway, no cell service. Just as advertised. Portable potty was clean and stocked. Be cautious of the wild cats!

Simple but very good!

Our group had a good stay here. The site was completely private since no one else was around, which was great. The portable restroom was clean and didn’t smell, which we really appreciated. Our campsite had a table and a campfire stove—both super convenient, especially since the stove helped retain heat. Overall, a solid spot for camping.

As seen in pics. And as described. It was just too hot. No ones fault. The other sites were level and would have been preferred. The shade was minimal, almost non existent. The damping might be better in cooler temps. We ended up leaving after 15 minutes and not staying.

We had a lovely evening here underneath the stars in this peaceful little desert oasis! Andrea provided us with enough firewood to make a cosy fire. Would definitely come back if we get the chance to!

We were camping to see / shoot the perseid meteor shower. We were the only ones camping during our stay. We reached around 3pm, and it was very dry, sunny and hot. There was no shade anywhere, so we drove back to King City to get some groceries to pass some time. We were back around 6pm, and it was much pleasant. Since we were the only ones camping, we used the firepit in camp 4 since it was much better for cooking. There is one common porta-potty (which we had to ourselves). It was clean. Seemed like it was sanitized regularly. There were a lot of bugs at night - especially near the light sources. All in all, I would say it's a good place for the fee charged.
