20mi from Healdsburg · 7 sites · Tents, RVs, Lodging · Bodega Bay, CA
Located within 45 minutes of the wine country and 2 miles from the coast, our property is 400 acres of rolling hills and redwood groves, with a creek running along its base. With miles of trails meandering through quiet woods and meadows, you will be able to revel in the tranquility of a private preserve, without sacrificing easy access to some of Sonoma County's most famous attractions. A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. Since then, the land has been left to its own devices, passing through many hands, most famously owned by two brothers in the 1980's who built a truly amazing tree house in the forest which has been featured in several magazine articles. It was revamped and updated in 2016 by a master craftsman, using fallen redwood logs found on the property and is now a unique structural work of art, available for overnight stays. We produce 100% grass fed, dry-aged beef on our certified organic pastures and have a store on site if you would like to purchase delicious steaks, ribs, ground beef for hamburgers or some roasts to take home. Our cattle graze on the native grasses, never grain, and drink only water produced from our own springs. We also raise Kiko meat goats and produce pastured, certified organic duck eggs on a commercial basis. Whether it's surfing at sandy beaches, award-winning clam chowder, a wine tour, horseback riding or a hot air balloon ride you're after, you won't have far to drive if you make our ranch your base camp. You may see a family of deer appear suddenly, or a few Scottish Highland cows which we allow to roam freely over the property. There are over twenty species of wild birds that grace this protected spot, so bring your binoculars! A portion of your fee goes towards protecting native flora and fauna as part of our private wildlife preservation program. A limited number of private, widely spaced camp spots are available for visitors. The Eagles' Nest Treehouse (mentioned above) is very isolated and you may or may not even be aware that there are other people within miles of you. For those who value nature, seclusion, quiet and the artistry of old growth redwood, this is the place for you.

Originally purchased in the late 60's by "Redwood and Savatri", Oz Farm was initially a commune of sorts and is no doubt a very special place...heck, its even got it's own comic book! Here you can pick your poison, as the property is comprised of 7 rustic cabins, redwood campsites, and geodesic domes that would make Buckminster Fuller proud. The working farm is comprised of over 230 accessible acres of flowing meadows, redwood groves, prime agriculture, and is intersected by the beautiful Garcia River, which flows into the mighty pacific. One thing that is very apparent, is how clearly passionate the community at Oz Farm is about ecology and agriculture. Once you step foot onto Oz Farm, you'll begin to understand why. The property is open seasonally and frequently rented by full-camp retreats and events throughout the summer. Individual cabins open to rent one month in advance and are advertised through instagram @villageozfarm

We are back on Hipcamp after a 2 year hiatus with new amenities! 🌙 A Private 5-Acre Volcanic Mountaintop Farm Sanctuary Above Napa Valley Wine Country and Harbin Hot Springs Hidden Knoll Farm is a breathtaking 360 degree view atop an ancient volcanic cinder cone overlooking California’s “Secret Wine Country.” Located just 12 miles from Napa Valley and 6 miles from Harbin Hot Springs, this land sits at the crossroads of geology, history, healing, and natural beauty. From the Knoll, you can see: • Mt. St. Helena • The Mayacamas Mountain Range • Harbin Mountain • The Geysers, the most active geothermal field on Earth Every direction opens into wide, cinematic landscapes: sunrise in the east over Angwin, sunset in the west behind volcanic ridges, moonrise drifting over the Harbin side, and clear night skies sparkling with thousands of stars. This is a place where people come to breathe, rest, reconnect, and remember what quiet feels like. 🌋 A VOLCANIC POWERPOINT IN THE PACIFIC RING OF FIRE The Hidden Knoll sits on a dormant volcanic ridge within the Pacific Ring of Fire. The land is composed of red volcanic soil, ancient lava rock, and mineral-rich ash that gives this mountain a unique energy signature. Our shared amenities Approved significantly since these reviews were written, and we have hosted hundreds of people on another platform where we are one of the most loved properties on earth we invite you to rediscover didn't know and give us a new review that is fair because some of these reviews don't reflect what we have on the property today. Each glamping accommodation is privately spaced about 150 feet from the main farmhouse and with an adjacent open parcel of about 5 inhabited acres in front of your space. The guests share an outdoor kitchen, seasonal pool, bathing area ("Farmhouse Spa") with cowboy tub and outdoor hot shower, outdoor fireplace, and garden with chickens.
